The AHOGS has been our vet for the past two+ years. Weve had a few incidents of miscommunications in the past, but Ive simply let them go as human error. Things like booking appointments for vaccinations that had already been given and should have been recorded, giving a bordatella vacc and not registering it in their system etc. We titer for parvo and distemper, and even with a sufficient titer, they continued to say we needed to revacc him for them - another error with them reading/updating their system. Other than that, Dr Lovers & Dr Aberle have both been great with our dog , who is terrified of going to the vet. Today however, we had an appointment for his Lyme vaccine. My husband paid the bill and left the office. I was looking at the receipt in the car, and I notice we were charged for a lepto vacc. I tell him to go in and make sure that its Lyme they gave him, that its recorded correctly in their system, and to pay the difference. He comes back out and tells me that they accidentally gave the dog a lepto vacc, even though he JUST had one three weeks ago!? Dr Aberle apologized, and said that they normally booster anyways so its not a big deal, even though thats a blatant lie. A booster given after three weeks in an adult dog? Im extremely disappointed in this lack of care, and attention to detail, and will obviously be looking for a new vet. If youre going to use AHOGS, make sure that you are well aware of what they are giving your animals before they do so.

This is the best vet care you will ever get, paws down! Dr. Lovers, Dr. Koven, and Dr. Aberle are the smartest, most caring vets Ive ever met ... and Ive met many! Everyone who is part of this team -- not just the Vets but the people who greet you at the front desk and the Vet Techs -- are professional, friendly, and always make you feel like a valued client! You will always get to speak to your vet, you will always be given the time you need on the phone and in the office, and what youre saying will always be respected and understood. In addition to all that, the office is extremely clean, well organized, comfortable, and welcoming! This is how it should be at all Vets offices but unfortunately, its not the way it is which is why Im writing this review...so youll know that this animal hospital stands out among the rest. You can trust your loving 4-legged friend/family member in the Vets hands here and know they will be taken care of as if they were their own...

My grandmothers dog is a patient, and we kennel her here yearly, she loves it, and pulls me to go in. The staff are courteous and caring people. We recently started bringing our cat here to, they couldnt be nicer, and when we were having an emergency, they were able to take us without delay. The parking is a pain, but they more than make up for that with friendliness and flexibility. I would recommend this vet to everyone. They really are great.

Ive been going to this clinic for nearly a year for regular check ups without any issues. Then, my cat came down with IBD and Dr. Lovers recently saved my cats life and Im very grateful. He stayed late and was very attentive to the needs of my cat and worked within my hectic travel schedule. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Dr Lover is an excellent vetenarian. The entire staff is very friendly and courteous. My dog lives in the Bronx and she sends him to this vet because they have cared for Poncho since he was a puppy.
