If you love your pet do not take them here! I took my cat in for a routine dental cleaning, my cat was in perfect health, didnt need any extractions blood work was excellent. I saw one of the newer doctors who assured me everything would be fine. When I came to pick up my pet, he was having vertigo, was crying and wailing and not well. That evening when I let my cat out of the carrier, he was disoriented and running into walls...he was also Deaf! I called them back to speak with the doctor I had seen and asked questions: what type of medications or anesthesia did you give my cat? They couldnt find my cats record. I was put on hold for over 10 mins. Finally they came back in a rude and annoyed tone, and said that the meds and anesthesia they gave my cat were not noted in the chart!!! Wth!!???? So you dont know what you gave my cat???!!!! I never heard of such incompetence!! I asked to speak to the doctor and the receptionist said she would take a msg. I called again several hours later because my cat was in so much distress ..irradic and wailing..., the receptionist yelled at me and said that the doc would call me back!! I told her its an emergency. She didnt care. I waited to hear from the doc, he called at 8:30pm that evening and seemed annoyed at me and my concern! He said if u feel concerned take him to the emergency vet!!!! I ended up going to the emergency clinic in Manhattan, top of the line but expensive, but they immediately took care of my cat. He spent 3 days there. They wrote an email to williamsburg animal click explaining the cause of my cats problem: He was not properly monitored for oxygen levels and body temperature while under anesthesia!! Which led to loss of blood circulation to his brain, so his brain shut down the first system in order to protect the rest of the brains function..my cat lost his hearing. In addition they gave him a sedative that causes a bad reaction in cats!!! I was floored..and felt so guilty for taking my baby to this I incompetent and uncaring place. I went back several days later to speak to the he owner dr. DIAZ, who had an unapologetic tone and refused to take responsibility for my cats condition, all he said was that they followed protocol. I later came to find out that the doctor doesnt actually do the dental cleaning..he just supervises the vet tech!! Supervise probably means he walks by once in a while if that!! My cat is now permanently deaf because of this experience. I have been so sad for my pet. If I would have known I would have never taken my cat here! This place should be shut down, they dont care.. it is inexpensive yes...but thats for a reason, they are so incompetent and do not take extra care to make sure your pet is safe. Do not go here if you love your pet! I will never ever return to this nightmarish place!!!!

I adopted a dog from a Rescue in Brooklyn who was pretty badly neglected. The Williamsburg Animal Clinic was his vet and may as well have done nothing at all. They charged the rescue for a teeth cleaning and check up that they never actually did or just ignored very serious issues. I reached out to them a few weeks after I adopted him because a sore under his eye was not healing. They told me to just put a cone on him so he could not rub his eye against the carpet and open up the cut. Ok, so I put the cone on and the eye did not improve. The poor guy was not rubbing it against anything and it barely healed. I called again and the person on the phone said they had no record of his eye having a wound? That was it for me, I found a new vet who immediately diagnosed him with a bad tooth that had formed an abscess under his eye and also given him an ear infection. The knew what was wrong immediately because of how it was presenting itself. My new vet showed me the large abscess and heavy plaque on his teeth and said there was no way that he had developed this since I adopted him and that they had not cleaned his teeth and probably had not even looked at his teeth. Because it was there clear as day a clearly infected tooth directly below the soar on his eye that he had since before he was adopted. To say I am upset is an understatement, a rescue that is committed to caring for animals and rescuing from terrible conditions was scammed by the Williamsburg Animal Clinic and their neglect and lies directly harmed my dog and made him suffer much longer than needed. How they are still in business is beyond me you should be ashamed of yourselves for prolonging the suffering of my dog after what he had already been through. Dont take your pets here!

When I called to get an estimate on the bill for a routine rabies shot I was told that they would give my Cotton three shots plus the well clinic visit and it would cost to $97. By the end of the visit Dr. Zue quoted a bill of $111, saying that she give my Cotton all her previous shots like Lyme Disease, Gastrointestinal Disease, Coronavirus, Canine infectious Respiratory Disease, Nervous System Disease and finally Rabies. These are the ones that she circled in a Your Dogs Health Pamphlet. So then she walks away and I start dealing with the receptionist and she says my bill is $129. "$129" I say What for? so the receptionist calls back the doctor and the says " oh yes, Im sorry its $129" so by this time I"m starting to blow my top and she sees it, so she goes "ok do you want me take off the Bordetella" a vaccine she said at first she didnt even give Cotton. See my point do go here if you care about your wallet, they are robbers. I will find somewhere else to take Cotton.

I am horrified at my experience with this clinic. Pretty much like every vet in NYC, this place is out to rob your wallet. The cost of services changes daily, and when I asked the manager, Cynthia about this problem, she blatantly denied it and shouted over me on the phone. One of their other useless employees, Jessica, gives out wrong information and then denies it. What type of business is this? Be warned before you show up and end up paying extra money for their incompetent business practices. The reviews seem to be true. Very disappointing!!! * * * Update: Just received a personal call from Dr. Diaz (via NO CALLER ID) telling me I am banned from the clinic forever (my dog needs a follow up visit after his surgery, and this is what kind of service you provide?) Also, Dr. Diaz threatened with filing a police report against me. How cowardly -- he didnt even bother talking to me and assumed whatever his idiot employees said was true. You people need to be shut down.

I have a 6-month year old puppy and have been in the office probably 6 or 7 times for shots and other common puppy problems like diarrhea. One of the disappointing things is that I have only seen Dr. Diaz once who is great and probably the only reason worth going here. I often question A LOT of what gets put onto the bill and often feel that my concern and love for my dog is taken advantage of because I end up agreeing to medicines that I know are unnecessary. Ive worked in retail and am very familiar with up-selling. Also, I know they see a lot of people and animals, but they never seem remember me or my dog in the 6 or 7 times in the last 3 months weve been going there. I know a vet clinic is a business, and understand that they are there for a paycheck, but I dont think you should feel that way. All and all, they get the job done, but I have higher expectations from a vet. Im currently looking for another vet to have a better frame of reference.
