I was excited to finally find an angelic provider in Carrie Goodrich. After years of let downs, I had finally been referred by a friend to a provider that listened and was pro-active in treating my various issues. One issue involved a controlled substance that I was given a monthly written script for. Last month I misplaced the script and had called the office to ask for a replacement. I showed up at the office that night and was "greeted" by an extremely rude Mrs./Nurse Niziol (who had also once been my check in nurse, to my major dismay, as she is a miserable old hag). She gruffly said "You had an appointment tonight!" I replied that I had been notified earlier in the day and advised that the appointment was not necessary. She then said "Youre insurance isnt paying us." So I handed her my card and she said "Well... all of the information we have is correct. Come in here!" So I went through the door and she proceeded to tell me that they werent going to be able to write me a new script until the following month as the substance is controlled and the script #s are monitored by the state. I replied that if that were the case, they should be able to track the fact that I never got the script filled. She said abruptly "Well, its only a weight loss aid, so its not like its the end of the world!" I replied that it was a major inconvenience and left. Two days later I called the office to leave a message to speak to Carrie and try to figure out a resolution to what to me WAS a major issue/setback in my treatment. Unfortunately the lovely Mrs Niziol answered again. She said "Oh yes you. You were in the other night. You lost your prescription. I already told you that we cant write you another one for a month and so there is nothing to discuss." I was only able to get out "You are so ridiculous" before she hung up on me. I called back later that day and spoke to a receptionist. She took my message but of course I never got a phone call. A week later I started to experience these spells that would cause me to be out of it for anywhere from 2 to 10 minutes. They started on a Saturday, so I called the office on Monday and they were not able to get me in until Wednesday. When they started to be more frequent that morning I tried to get in sooner on emergency, but they said they had nothing available. I ended up spending 5 hours in the emergency room. They thought most likely that it was a reaction to stopping my medication so abruptly. I was released and told to follow up with my doctor. I showed up for my 530 appt Wednesday. The latest new nurse (the third since I joined the practise only about 3 or 4 months ago) greeted me, took all my vitals and history and told me Carrie would be with me in a minute. Exhausted, I fell asleep. I awoke an hour later to a woman handing me a generic letter and telling me I was being released from the practise. There was absolutely NO reason for my release in this letter. I asked why I was made to wait an hour only to be released and she had nothing to say to me. Being in the medical profession myself I found this completely unacceptable. I had a few "choice" words to say on my way through the waiting room. I guess if you plan to be seen here, you should kiss the Mrs rear so she doesnt dismiss you in the midst of your treatment as well. Otherwise, I would just keep looking for an office with a more pleasant and welcoming environment. My only hope is that Karma has its way with this witch and I am lucky enough to read about it some day VERY soon!

Wow Dr., does that make you feel better? Sums up your true character in your reply. Trying to validate yourself and your secretarys horrible, irrational behavior towards me by trying to discredit ours. By digging up dirt, something that was dropped for that matter but more importantly has Absolutely nothing to do with this situation. What a wonderful way to welcome a new patient. Thats one of the qualities we look for in a doctor. You dont know a thing about me and i did you know wrong, in no way. I went to your office for vaccination shots. Got the shots, paid $100 and got a receipt (glad I kept the receipt) and was told by your office that I would be billed for the remaining balance. Seemed pretty legit and normal. Until the next day I get a call from your secretary who was foul and nasty. Acting like I jumped out a window, refusing to pay. Really?!? Somehow I just managed to get a receipt before I jumped ship, hmmm. Yes, I hung up on her. She can be as foul and as miserable as she wants, but the rest of the world doesnt have to deal with that! So she calls the cops...because i refused to listen to her lies or because her ego was bruised...Wow. You should really consider taking a refresher course on customer service btw. Think it would really help knock that ego and sense of entitlement down a notch or two. By far the worst experience ever. Not to mention, sharing my experience with people...youd be surprised at how your business leaves a bad bitter taste in many mouths.

To the staff of Dr. Niziols office at Dryden medical center, Im amazed at the kindness I have received from the moment of entry I was greeted by two wonderful women at the front desk they were curious kind and very efficient and made me feel welcome from the moment I got there. I was introduced to a staff member (nurse Kevin) and again who was wonderful, was gentle, knowledgeable of my case immediately, and kind from the beginning, he explained everything he was performing on me and was very professional at the handling of my needs with care and understanding. I have been seen by Dr. Ross on several occasions and again he is kind, gentle, and informative to my needs. His professionalism I cannot speak more highly of. On February 10th 2015 I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Dr Michael Niziol, his mannerisms and knowledge of my medical problems. I came in a bundle of nerves with many concerns about my health, and came out a new woman. Dr Niziol gave me the confidence that all of this would be resolved and taken care of. I do not take my health for granted with the knowledge of care I receive from Dr Niziols office I feel I am in good hands. In closing, I am truely grateful for the kindness, care, professionalism, and kindness that I receive from Dr Niziol and ALL of his staff, sincerely Dawn Allinger

I have been privileged to be exposed to a wonderful, fast-paced, busy family practice by working for Teri RN and Michael Niziol M.D. for this past year as a new family nurse practitioner graduate. This type of environment fit my personality well and I was able to create a solid foundation as a Family Nurse Practitioner in primary care with the help, guidance, and patience exhibited by Teri RN and Micheal Niziol M.D. I give the Niziol family a lot of credit for the ability to run and manage a successful private practice for almost 30 years while raising 4 successful children, supporting all 4 children while attending college at the same time, building a new home, and being emotionally and mentally available to their staff and all the wonderful patients of Dryden, NY and surrounding area. This practice has helped mold and refine me into the compassionate, thorough, efficient provider that I am today. I will be ever so grateful for this priceless experience that I endured with everyone from Family Practice Associates of Dryden,NY (patients and staff included). Sincerely, Carrie L. Goodrich, FNP
