Been going there for years NO more after what happened yesterday! We were driving on Jericho Tpke and a kitten about 3-5 weeks old was in the middle of the road we pulled over and grabbed it saving it from being run over. We brought it to the office and the first receptionist was totally rude a real loser and this was the second time within a month she was the same way I think her name is Kathy. She told us should could not help us as they had 10 cats already and the owners do not help strays. A second lady came out and said we should take it home call up Town Of Hempstead Shelter or take it there - we explained we have two dogs under the age of two and they are still a bit wild and we had NO place to keep the kitten and we had a car full of food that we could not go driving all over. SInce when have you ever heard of a vet not helping a animal in need? Refusing to help a baby animal besides? Finally after I said to my Mom put the cat back in the road this woman does not care about the animal she got all indignant and insulted. The vet finally come up to the front and said they are a hospital not a shelter. They are a vet they have cages to keep the animals safe and all they had to do was take the kitten and hold it until the shelter came to pick it up. Bet if we had said declaw it for us and we will take it home he would have took our money and took care of the animal. The best part was that the bozo receptionist that got insulted had the gall to say to me "usually when we accept a stray we receive a donation" they have become money grubbing losers.

I want to share the disturbing scenario which resulted in the death of my Annie. During the course of her Renal Disease it was discovered in January 2012 that my spayed Annie had a very sick uterus and what appeared to be a very sick left ovary. Due to renal disease it was determined it was too risky to perform the surgery to remove the diseased reproductive organs. These body parts had suppos...edly been removed August 10, 2004 when she was SPAYED!!! by Dr Friedman of A&A Veterinary Hospital of Franklin Square, NY. When my vet called A&A to follow up, she was told that Annie was not spayed there and they had no records of such. They wouldnt even speak with her nor consult about a sick greyhound. REALLY??? So NOT the case! On August 11, 2004 when I picked her up she had the sutures, I had/have the signed Spay Certificate & the adoption group had/has the receipt for services rendered including the spay surgery. Annie had a very strong will to live - to the amazement and awe of many - she persevered- she was a fighter. Sadly, very suddenly in the afternoon of February 25th, Annie became very painfully sick - her uterus had ruptured. Annie became septic and she died in my arms.... I find it incredibly ludicrous that the Drs at A&A Veterinary Hospital function in this incompetent, unaccountable and careless manner. As far as I am concerned - they killed my Annie Besides the heartbreak of her death - I am trying to come to terms with the reasons behind her death.

Ive always appreciated the caring and expert service here, but two experiences will make me always grateful. We lost our black lab, Knight, to cancer and the care and attention we received through the whole season was amazing. Even several weeks after the death of Knight, the vets shared their condolences and shared their remembrances. In another episode, our new lab puppy needed emergency care and once again, the vets showed superb care and expertise. Our puppy is alive because of them.

I really like the vets and staff at A & A Vet Hosp. I dont know why some people have had problems, but Im very satisfied with their level of service. I highly recommend them, especially for greyhounds. I suggest that people ask a lot of questions to better understand whats going on with their pets, in order to make the best decisions and not be shocked when things dont work out the way they "thought" they were going to. Anyway, theyre great.

I dont know why A&A Veterinary Hospital was not my first choice. The receptionists are so kind, caring & patient. And Brandys vet- Dr. Longo- is so friendly. You could tell shes the type of doctor who cares more about your pet than the money. I highly recommend her to anybody who is looking for a vet.

Dr. Longo is really an amazing and caring vet. The reception staff, specifically Kathy need to lighten up a bit. She is nasty and condescending. Not very nice. At least Virginia isnt there anymore. Sadly, several people I know not use these vets because of their staff.

Professional, caring, courteous veterinary care. Weve been bringing our pets there for nearly 20 years. From routine care, to difficult and complicated diagnoses, weve never been disappointed. Will not go anywhere else.

A bit pricey, BUT, you couldnt find a caring more dedicated staff. I trust my pets healthcare to this vet. If you can, see Dr Longo.
