I had a pair of glasses made in this optician. My wife had 2 pairs made. Then why 2 stars? Simple. In general, the staff, which to my know,edge consists of 2, the optician and a woman, are cold and unfriendly. Today I waited until 11 am, opening time. I needed the glasses I purchased there straightened. I was also hoping a pair that I had purchased elsewhere could be repaired. I wasnt asking for any freebie, just help/service. The woman couldnt be bothered, immediately saying well if you didnt buy them here we cant help. I said but the doctor told me, after I showed them to him in the past, that he carried them. (had I known that at the time I would have purchased them from him as he was my first stop. but he said he had them in a drawer and didnt show them to me. they are Lunor, same frames made popular by the late Steve Jobs.) I could truly tell that I was not welcome, that she couldnt be bothered, stating the doctor is doing an examination. Leave the glasses and he will try to fix them today. Okay. I leave them, leave the store, drove to the highway which was about five minutes away, and as Im getting on the highway she calls, they are fixed. Really? So I continued where I was going and now had to come back and get them, as if she couldnt have suggested I wait five or ten minutes to see if he would be done with the examination and then fix them. Truly rude and that is the reason for the 2 stars. And might I add, when I took the glasses from the case upon picking them up, when is the last time an optician didnt take a moment to clean the lenses? When does an optician adjust and straighten glasses without the patient there or then at least see if they fit correctly when the patient arrives for the glasses? Where does the optician, who is seated behind his desk, not have the common courtesy to stand up? Here, thats where.

I like they have a website for customer to seek information, and I was able to print/fill out the new patient form. I was actually able to make the appointment online. Unfortunately, when I came for the appointment 2/3 days later, they told me they did not receive the appointment notice. Apparently, they did not check their website or email. Good thing is they were able to reschedule me at a later time on the same day. Also I wish the Doctor could be more patient with me and more helpful when I asked questions. I do not think I was being too demanding honestly. The overall eye exam process was pretty quick though, and I was able to pick up my eyeglasses in 7 business days.

I am a female with wide face and always have huge difficulty finding frames wide enough yet still feminine. Dr. Gordon knows his stuff well. He was patient helping me trying on frames and went out of his way trying to help me locate a wide one and have it sent to his store. Although that frame still did not work for me, he did not push at all. If a frame is not flattering on me, he would speak the truth, unlike some sales person in some other high end eyewear store. I will definitely come back to his store and recommend him to my friends.

I have been a customer of Katonah Eye Care for many years. I would recommend this store to all. Not only do they have a wonderful selection of eyewear, their doctor is top-notch. I have always been a very difficult customer, and before I came here, it was always hit or miss if the doctor would get it right. With this doctor, eye-sight is correct, headaches (major symptom of a bad eye prescription) gone! In addition I have always found the prices fair, the service great, and promises kept. You will be very pleased!

The variety of frames and lenses is superior. But what sets this store apart is the quality of the service. I recently bought a pair of prescription sunglasses. When the arrived, and through no fault of the store, I simply did not like the color of the lenses. These lenses were specific to my prescription. No problem. The store replaced the lenses at no cost to me. I recommend Katonah Eye Care without reservation.

The manager has a chip on his shoulder. When you hear "what do you mean by...?" from someone whose job is to be helpful in response to a simple question, you know there is a problem. Once they figured out that I was for real, the attitude changed and the folks in the store warmed up. But the initial interaction was strange! The ordering process was straight forward and the folks seemed knowledgeable.

The optician was very rude to begin with. The glasses are way over priced as well. I would consider going somewhere else to purchase glasses. My family could not believe I almost paid $600 dollars for a pair of glasses when I could of went to Cosco an probably got a pair for half the price. I would not recommend going here to anyone, unless you want over priced glasses and rude service.

Katonah Eye Care has best service (nicest people) and products - great selection of frames. My family has been using them for almost 15 years and my experienec has always been the best with everyone. Dr Gordon (Steve) is also an Optometrist , he friendly and easy going - so my experience working with them has been comprehensive, convenient and very fair. Highly recommend them.

Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff. Complete eye exam with state of the art equipment( they now have a machine that calibrates your prescription by just looking into a machine!) I had a pair of glasses bought some where else, that needed a small repair. I got these fixed at no charge (not once, but twice with a smile!)

Sleazy, deceitful, overpriced. Rude, evasive and petty. Plus, the doctor apparently erases bad reviews which is why he has none. Ill continually repost this one until he eventually disables the review feature.
