After several years of bringing my pets to Babylon Animal Hospital, I recently decided to stop. The truth is, they do seem less expensive than most vets and for routine visits they are satisfactory. Its when things get serious that they loss credibility. Months ago, my dog died after one of the vets failed to detect a growth, even after this vet saw him numerous times before and after we insisted that something was wrong. This vet finally detected the growth two days before our dog died. This past month we got a new puppy. After some serious trepidation about going back we brought him in for a check up and was told by the vet that he had kennel cough (which we knew) and she gave him an antibiotic. She seemed sure he would be fine. After a week he wasnt getting better, in fact he seemed worse. I called to get the vets advice. The vet called me back 7 hours later. The next day the puppy was wheezing and was very lethargic. I called again first thing in the morning and expressed my serious concerns about the puppy. The front office staff was rather cold and told me they couldnt get him in that day because they were too booked, but they could get him the next day at 5pm. At that point I made the choice to bring him to another vet hospital. When I called, their staff said "well, we are booked, but bring him in anyway, well make it work" which is really what I expected to hear from BAH, a vet clinic that I have patronized for years. This new vet informed me that the puppy was seriously ill with pneumonia and that the antibiotic given at BAH was inappropriate and not potent enough for this strain of kennel cough. The new vet insisted that I bring him to the emergency animal hospital, which I did. The puppy was treated for pneumonia and spent a week in doggie ICU. Hes doing fine now. Babylon Animal Hospital used to be better. They seemed more personable and attentive to the pets. The front office staff used to be friendly and warm and seemed to genuinely love the animals, but in the last couple of years the quality has decreased. The vets and the front office staff often seem overwhelmed and there is vet "mill" feel about it now. Most importantly, I do not feel that these vets spend adequate time with the animals and seem very quick to make or decline a diagnosis. They dont even remember my pets when they return. Truthfully, Im not sure if they are much cheaper than other vets, and even if they are, Id rather pay more for better quality.

Ive only had good experiences with this business, especially while seeing a looking at their great reviews online. My Brother in NY, who lives in the Bronx was very pleased with his experience with this vet and said that the compassion they showed when their dog needed to be put down was exceptional and they couldnt imagine have gone through that with any business except for Babylon. Its truly a blessing to have them in Lindenhurst, its a blessing to have them in New York State and its a blessing to have such a caring animal clinic. Thanks guys from the bottom of our hearts and I wish your business all the success from your outstanding customer service.

I would never take my babies to someplace that kicked out a family with a dying dog! Poor Nugget! Its disgusting! Then, to add insult to injury, Liguori says the man needs to "get over it" and accused him of "not taking care of his dog properly"! I have worked at a few animal hospitals and we ALWAYS stayed late if need be. The animals should always come first! Its great that these "doctors" "have a life outside work", but maybe you shouldve thought about that before you took a job handling another living beings LIFE! I hope this place gets shut down!

I have been taking my dog to Babylon Animal Hospital for many years just for check ups and shots and have always been happy with the service and the prices! Then my cat got sick. I called them and told them he was just going in and out of the litter box all day. THEY SAVED MY CATS LIFE! They said to bring him in right away, that he could be having a problem urinating and needed to be seen immediately! Thank goodness these people know their stuff!! They saved my cats life!! I tell all my friends to go there!!

Ive been going to this amazing place for 16 years now. The staff is amazing! Dr L is an outstanding surgeon and he loves the animals like his own. Very affordable and honest vet. Appointments are easy to make and always available when needed. I since moved out east yet I rather drive the 45 minutes to Babylon animal hospital then trust my animals with any other vet. They truly are the best!! Keep up the amazing job!!

never again dr. ligouri turned my dog away as he was closing and my dog did not make it ... this place should be closed down .. this is not the first time that they have mistreated I have herd from other people who have many bad experiences.. you take an oath to help the helpless and to save and take care of life .. My dog died because of him ... how could he sleep at night .....please close this place down for once

I called to refill a prescription for my Dog and was told np come in they close at 8pm. I got there around 7:15 and they told me no they close at 7pm. I asked if I can just get his meds they told me no. I explained that I worked all of the following day and they told me to come when I can. I feel like they dont care anymore. I will have to look into getting another vet. and you should to.

The doctor was very helpful. I called on a Sunday when every other place around was closed and they fit me right in when my dog seemed to be in a lot of pain. I felt so comfortable with the staff, they were all so friendly and really cared about my dog. He is now feeling so much better thanks to the great staff and doctors. I will continue to use them in the future.

I am new to the area and needed a vet for my 8 year old lab mix, Sweetie. I am so happy with Babylon Animal Hospital. From the first phone call to ask about an appointment, which I was able to get quickly to how nice and knowledgeable Dr Liguori was. I would recommend everyone to take their pets to Babylon Animal Hospital.

I have a 4 year old Boxer who has been going to Doctor Ligouri from a pup. I feel the care is the best everyone from Ladies at front desk to the owner Doctor Liqouri could not be more helpful. I can tell Doctor Ligouri Loves his work and my dog Butch loves him.

Mets Are Good

Rip Off! They quote a price for a return booster shot and than tack on another $65 for a visit. I specifically asked them prior what the cost would be. They charged $65 to shove a thermometer up my puppys butt! Thats the last time I go there!
