My experience with Peak Performance began a few months after I had a laminectomy at the Hospital for Special Surgery. I had completed my physical therapy at another facility, but I was not very happy with their treatment. However, I did notice the Peak Performance building every time I drove to my treatments. I also noticed that PP offered a 5 week weight loss program. I was intrigued and I joined. I worked with a very competent trainer named Dave Albaranes and after 5 weeks I lost 15 pounds and I my back felt much better. 2 weeks after leaving PP, I tore my rotator cuff and I required surgery. The 15 pounds I lost with Dave were gained again--- I got up to 195 pounds. This time after surgery, I did my PT at Peak Performance with James Campo. Mr. Campo and his assistants are extremely meticulous with their progress monitoring. They genuinely care about their patients progress and they develop a rigorous treatment program. After I regained 90% of my range of motion (still doing your suggestions James every day twice a day), I started working with Dave McCalla in the fitness program. I started at 192.6 pounds on January 11th. I wasnt able to run a full mile without having to stop to catch my breath. Today is March 6, I finished my last workout with Dave. I am at 170.8 pounds. Yesterday, I ran a 10K in under 56 minutes. I still have 5 pounds to go to reach my pre-surgery weight, but with the tools and motivation that Peak Performance gave me, I will get there soon.

Not long ago, I wasnt able to lift more than two pounds with my right (dominant) arm without experiencing pain, and I couldnt move my right arm behind my back to any extent. Just putting on a belt was a major challenge. An MRI showed that I had a dislocated biceps tendon. My top-notch orthopedic surgeon recommended surgery (which would have required my right arm to be in a sling for six weeks), but said that I could try PT first. Was I ever lucky to find Peak Performance Physical Therapy in Lynbrook, NY? I went for PT there twice a week for six weeks. By the end of PT, I had no problem lifting with my right arm or moving the arm behind my back anymore. My surgeon then agreed that there was no need for surgery at this time, and that I may never need surgery. I actually looked forward to my PT sessions at PPPT in Lynbrook. The entire staff was extremely friendly, courteous, professional, skillful--and funny to boot! And the facility was very well maintained and equipped. Out of five stars, I give PPPT at Lynbrook six!

I love going to Peak! The staff are so welcoming and supportive. Since joining Peak 5 months ago, I have seen many improvements in my health – I have more energy, my blood pressure is down, I sleep better, and I am down quite a few pounds. When I joined Peak, it was never about “the number” or how many pounds I “lost”, it was about changing my eating habits and my lifestyle. Tyler has always made me feel welcome and worthwhile from day 1. He has never judged me or made me feel like I wouldn’t succeed. He has been my steadfast supporter, my cheerleader and my voice of reason when I needed it. I have truly enjoyed working with him and look forward to much more success under his guidance.

First of all if you dont go to Peak Performance for your physical therapy, you are an idiot! All kidding aside, the level of care and therapy I received for both my shoulder and foot is unparalleled. The staff is kind and friendly and actually cares. Before I had my shoulder surgery and therapy, I cried myself to sleep every night. Today, 4 months later, thanks to Joe and his team I sometimes dont even remember that I had a full shoulder replacement. Im almost at 100% back to normal! My friend and I had the same surgery around the same time, and she is still struggling! I cant say enough good things about this place, So grateful I found you!!

Following total knee replacement on December 8, 2015 I went to Peak PT for physical therary, and the Peak Fitness for additional strengthening and conditioning. Worked with David Albaranes who was tremendously helpful in showing me how to improve range of motion and strength to not only the knee, but other muscle groups that helped reduce strain/pressure on the knee. With his help I recovered so well that by March 12, 2016 I was able to play a 18 hole round of golf. I am incredibly grateful to the entire Peak family, and particularly David Albaranes, for getting their skill, dedication and care.

I have been very successfully treated a number of times at Peak over the years for various orthopaedic injuries. The initial consult always precisely identifies the nature of the injury and a defined program is initiated to treat the injury. The therapists and everyone on the staff is very familiar with my customized program and work as a team to ensure success. The practice also has an excellent pool therapist (Erol) and his expert protocols accelerate the healing process. Based on excellent results I have also recommended family members to Peak!

Awesome place! They have helped me recuperate through two surgeries (hip replacement & knee (was back to work in 3 weeks on both). I was so impressed with the therapists I decided to join the fitness center - best thing I ever did! The trainers and staff are the absolute best. Peak is a clean, friendly, family type atmosphere with top notch equipment. Everyone is made to feel like family. So glad Im part of it.

Arthritis in my hip... no way Im too young!!! except apparently Im not. After a visit to Special Surgery I went to Peak at Wantagh. With much help from Glenn, Brian, Mike and Dan, I improved dramatically. They run a tight ship. Constant movement, no downtime and always pleasant. Is my tennis game better? No. But I can walk and run. Many thanks . Mike S

Went to peak in April after having shoulder surgery dom the physical therapist tore my shoulder in 2 places and had to have surgery again. Stay away from this place they are not hands on and no one from the facility called and they knew what happened. So now I have to endure the pain of having surgery again and the physical therapy. Dont go here

Peak Performance is a clean, professionally run facility. The therapists and their assistants are friendly and helpful as you recover from an injury or surgery. It is conveniently located and they have very flexible hours. I have been treated for several injuries and two surgeries at Peak Performance and I would return again if needed.

Peak Performance is a clean and professional setting for not only physical therapy but fitness training as well. I had an acl revision in December and with a structured therapy plan and an additional fitness plan I have reached my goals with the support of the wonderdul staff at Peak. I would highly recommend this facility !
