From the moment I walked into this beautiful, spacious office, I was impressed. The front desk greeted me with a warm smile and it was as though I had been coming to this office for years. The entire staff makes you feel right at home, which is something I greatly value and look for. I was seen promptly - as scheduled, which tends to be a rarity in most medical offices ( I would give 5++ stars if I could!) Dr. Compton was excellent, professional, knowledgeable, efficient and charismatic. He had to perform some specialized testing and I was shocked when it was done in office as opposed to being referred out! This office is well equipped and saved me a lot of time. Huge thank you for that! As a side note, I had to run before I was able to finalize my purchase on the frames, however, I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of frames and brands (including high end names.) I am looking forward to returning next week to get my new glasses and sunglasses. This is a "one stop for all" type of place. I will most definitely be returning and would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Thank you again Dr. Compton and staff =)

I have been looking for an Optician for a while and when a friend recommended Compton Eye Associates I was a little skeptical but, because it a friend who told me I said OK. Bottom line the Team here is Awesome!!! Upon entering the store which was very clean and well laid out, Madeline at the front desk greeted me with an amazing that was both warm and welcoming. When I was introduced to Dr. Compton he was very professional, courteous and down to earth. The Technician Suleimy who is my fellow Virgoan! She was very good at explaining each step of the exam as well as Dr. Compton. They both were willing to answer any and all questions I had and made the overall experience. When I made it Selah he was helping me to pick the perfect frames. He was on-point and knew the various pros and cons of of each maker. He laid out all additional costs and was able to offer me the best deal possible comparable to its competitors. Again, my overall experience was very pleasant and I really appreciate the professionalism and friendliness made the visit a pleasant one. I give them 5-Stars and will recommend them to friends and family forever!

I first came to Compton eye associates when my sister recommended to have an exam after she found out they took our insurance. When I got there everyone seemed very friendly and attendant. I usually dont switch doctors or make my regular exams but I willing to Madeline at from was very helpful in looking up my insurance and letting me know that I could see the doctor and get glasses. The technician Luz was very nice she took me to the back and read my prescription then let me know that I could get a picture taken of the back of my eye instead of a dilation for $39. When she took me to Dr Compton I was skeptical because he looked young, but he impressed me with knowledge. He spoke to me in Spanish, but still dilated me because of diabetes. There optician Selah is great he explained my benefits to me and showed the insurance frames... which I never get. He wanted me to get a backup so I got an insurance frame and a really nice Gucci frame with my care credit card. Great experience + great doctor + great staff = lifetime patient

The office is very nice and has a spa-like quality and atmosphere to it with nice seating in the waiting area and even bottled water. The equipment is state of the art, both automated and manual, and includes a retina scanner, which Dr. Compton utilizes to assist in the management of patients like me who have diabetes. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Finally, Dr. Compton was great, thorough, and instilled confidence through his attention to detail, easy to understand explanations, and warm bedside manner. I will continue to utilize his services for my eye care needs and will be sending new patients to him as well.

Came in for an annual check up to make sure everything was well with my sight and prescription. Great experience here with the staff. Dr. Compton was very professional and instructive in walking me through exactly what they were checking for and on the process overall. When it came time to pick out frames, Selah was most helpful in walking me through their options (as well as double checking to see what my insurance covered). Only Caveat: If you are planning to go off insurance, the frames seem to be priced well over market value. I recommend getting your frames online or from another store.

Im guessing my opinion could be considered SLIGHTLY biased, but once you visit this uptown office you will instantly see how its way ahead of its competitors. The look and feel is amazing. The technology that has been invested in the office is state of the art. The staff is also top notch. Whether you are greeted with a friendly hello, bottle of water or just a smile, they pride themselves in trying to make you feel welcome. Dr. Compton is dedicated to offering quality care to this Inwood community and it shows in a multitude of ways.

Courteous, patient, understanding, funny, caring. I can go on and on about how wonderful my experience was. In todayd society you have to do a lot of background work, trial and error. I am very grateful for this place my first time going was on 7/5 and I plan on coming for my annual check ups. EVERYONE was super nice and super helpful. Dr. Andrea was a sweetheart and patiently helped me try on my eye contacts. And Dr. Compton was really professional and had a fun personality. My experience here was great ! The ladies in the front are very out going , they answered every question I had. The first lady who took me back for testing was very nice , she helped me feel more comfortable before sitting with the doctor . Im glad out of all the eye exam places , I chose this one .
