Funny that his motto is surgery is the last resource. Not confident since the first moment, his lab coat was dirty, this does not reflects professionalism nor trust specially on a doctor. Next he examined my shoulder and he pushed my arm in many directions with fast sudden movements to the limit of the joint instead to taking my shoulder slowly to the point of pain but not to the limits all the time and with fast sudden movements. Quick to send me to xrays and then back in his office he said that everything looks fine that is the pain was not bearable he suggested to have surgery. I asked if there was the chance to have physical therapy, then he said that that was a possibility so then he issued a prescription. He did not told me what may be the issue until I ask. He reply that it might be a damage ligament. But was not specific. He may have the knowledge, however the way he treat me and the poor description and rush he treated me with it leaves me a zero confidence that this Dr. is really looking after my health, however he wants to rush me into a lucrative surgery for him. He practice @ 333 E38th st 4th floor.

I hurt my shoulder while lifting furniture. After a few weeks of discomfort I went to my general practitioner who recommended I see Dr. Gidumal for a further evaluation. After examining the X-ray taken of my shoulder he determined that I had torn my rotator cuff and provided me with alternatives - do nothing and live with some discomfort, daily exercise to build the other shoulder muscles to compensate for the torn muscle that wouldnt heal or have surgery. He took the time to explain each of the alternatives but insisted the decision was mine to make. Once I decided to have surgery, Dr. Gidumal.laid out the timeline - 6 minutes Id be asleep, 6 hours Id be walking out of the hospital, my arm would be immobile for 6 weeks and Id do physical therapy for 6 months. Upon completion of my PT, my arm and shoulder would be like new. He was absolutely correct in every aspect and today my arm and shoulder are perfect. Dr.Gidumal has my total confidence and I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of shoulder surgery.

RUN (if you can) AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR!!! Hes such a bad doctor its scary. First of all, the "shoulder pain" review is one HE HIMSELF WROTE!! I went to this doctor with a dislocated knee. This guy rushed me into surgery and performed a surgery I DIDNT EVEN KNOW I WAS GOING TO GET!!!! Im thinking about suing him for medical malpractice. Ive been to 4 other knee surgeons since then (HSS), every single one told me this doctor did the WRONG procedure. STAY AWAY!!!

I sought out Dr.Gidumal after having severed my Achilles tendon. His staff members were courteous, friendly and helpful. The doctor himself was clear, conversational, concerned and friendly. Surgery was smooth, and follow-up appointments have been swift and professional. I am three weeks away from shedding my boot and beginning therapy. I recommend this surgeon to anyone in need of repair
