I chose to go for a teeth cleaning to Dr. Arakelova because she is near my office at Columbia University. My appoinment was confirmed but when I went to Dr. Arakelovas office Dr. Arakelova was not present. What a waste of time I thought. The lady at the front desk apologized and rescheduled my appoinment. My second time at Dr. Arakelovas office turned out to be even worse. I had to wait 25 min despite an appointment and there was no emergency which could have explained extended waiting time. Actually her office was empty. When Dr. Arakelova finally saw me she intended to do x-rays of all four teeths quadrants. I refused x-ray pictures being taken and explained I was there for a teeth cleaning only. She argued with me that it is her standard-procedure with new patients. Fair enough, but I mentioned that x-rays have been conducted three months ago in another dental office and that I can send these images via mail if needed. Dr. Arakelova insisted to do the x-rays now but I refused again. Then she became quite grumpy and started the cleaning. The cleaning was the worst cleaning I ever got. A good teeth cleaining usually takes 45-60 min. Dr. Arakelovas teeth cleaning took literally 5 minutes. I really can not recommend this unfriendly and unprofessional dentist. If I could I would give ZERO stars.

Iana is a great dentist! Ive been going to her for years. Extremely professional and shell do what she can do make your teeth look great, so whatever that first post said on here said please disregard!
