Meadows Veterinary Hospital located at 1600 Mamaroneck Ave. White Plains provided me with Terrible service it is almost like they dont care. I went there in good faith as my dog had a lump underneath his chin. I was there on the 4th of May. I was told that Dr. Lisa RAZNICK would call me back with my dogs test results. The doctor never called me back. Concerned I called them and I was told by the receeptionist that Dr.Lisa Raznick ATTEMTED TO CALL ME ONLY ONCE on May 8th but had the wrong number. Yet, in their computer the number that they have is the correct number as their receptionist was able to call me on the 3rd of May to confirm my dogs appointment for the following day May 4th 2017. It was on or about the 18th of May that I placed a call to Dr. Lisa Raznick. That day I was told she would get back to me. The receptionist conformed with me that they had my correct number. That same day Dr. Lisa Ranick called me back(18th of May) and stated she had tried me several times but had the wrong number. Dr. Lisa Raznick explained the symptom of my dog and said my dog requires surgery and continued to say that they have a surguen that comes once a week to their facility. I asked Dr. Lisa Raznick how much it would cost and she said she would get back to me -UNFORTUNATELY once again I did not receive a call back. I called the 22nd of May and I explained to the receptionist that I was waiting for a quote on the cost of the surgery. I was told that Dr. Lisa Ranick was not in but would be informed of my call and she would call me back. That day (May 22,2017)I was told by the receptionist that the symptom of my dog had to be discussed with the Owner of the facility (Head Doctor LauraTwedt ) before discussing my dogs case with Dr. Dillon the presumed surguen. FROM MAY 4TH TO MAY 22 NOTHING WAS DONE 18 DAYS HAD PASSED AND NO WORD FROM THE DOCTORS. Yet Dr. LISA Ranick had my dogs medical results on or before the 8th of May. Today still with no result , May 25, 2017, once again (it was I that initiated the call) I am told by Dr. Ranick that the surgery cannot be performed by Dr. Dillon because MEADOWS VETERINARY is not a 24 hour facility - this should have been told to me prior and all issues concerning my dog SHOULD have been discussed with the head Dr. Laura Twedt shortly after May 8th rather than have me waiting for 21 days to determine the correct procedure of what needed to be done. Dr. Raznick claims that she was unaware of this matter. It took DR. LISA RAZNICK 21 DAYS TO DETERMINE THAT THERE IS NOTHING THEY COULD DO FOR MY DOG. THEREFORE, DR. LISA RAZNICK has RECOMENDED other animal hospitals that are not close by. I do not own a vehicle and it would be difficult for me to get to the places that she has RECOMENDED. It is curious that Dr.Lisa RAZNICK does not know the procedures of the facility that she works for and why????? DID it take so long TO DETERMINE THE RESULTS AND WHAT TRULY NEEDED TO BE DONE???? This is very bad it left me unaware and very concerned. Dont pass blame on the receptionist or office manager - Dr. Lisa RAZNICK the doctor in charge should have been on top of my dogs case after all she is the doctor that treated my dog. The issue that I had with Lisa the receptionist is that she insisted that my dog needed his shots so I made the time and effort to adhere to her requests and took my dog (the very next day to a different facility because the cost was cheaper but the end result is that the doctors refused to administer the shots based on the fact that my dog had a condition and a possible adverse affect could happen. It has been a nightmare dealing with Meadow Veterinary Hospital. I would like to add that Meadows Veterinary has been tremendously negligent. I am now calling other VETERINARIANS in the area and it appears that my dog does not have to be kept overnight and does not require a 24 hour care but until I truly know further- I will post the outcome. True doctors are suppose to care.i called Dr Twedt and she hung up on me as to why my dog was rejected

I starting bringing my dog to Dr. Mendez about a year and a half ago based off of her excellent reviews; however, she did not diagnose my dog correctly at all. A few weeks ago my dog was making an odd sound (sounded like he had a lot of phlegm) and couldn’t breathe right. He seemed so uncomfortable and overall not well at all. We brought him in and she stated that she never heard this sound before and was not sure what was wrong. So, she decided to just give him an antibiotic in hopes it would help. The medicine did nothing and he continued to suffer, keeping us up at night because of the noises he was making and because he needed comfort. Finally I decided enough was enough and brought him to another vet. The new vet that I brought him to (not at Meadow Vet) knew exactly what was wrong. Quickly took an x-ray found that his lungs were completely filled with water (hence the phlegm sounds) and that his heart was 80% enlarged. He has congestive heart failure. Something that I would think is pretty common! He also clearly had heart disease which led to congestive heart failure (something that Dr. Mendez also did not pick up on). He was given a shot to help release the water in his lungs and two heart medications that he will need for the rest of his life. The next morning he was a new dog! No more sounds and back to his happy self. He would have died had I not brought him somewhere else. As nice and sweet as Dr. Mendez is, she did not try to help my dog. If she didn’t know what was wrong she should have asked the other vets in her office or at least attempt to help not just give him some medicine and hope for the best. I do not think she is very knowledgeable at her job. Very disappointed and would never recommend her but grateful that my dog is in better hands now.

The veterinarians at Meadow Animal Hospital are all very knowledgeable, highly skilled and above all extremely compassionate. They have cared for our 2 dogs and 4 cats over the past 7 years and have helped them thrive. These wonderful Vets have provided excellent well care for our pets. They always thoughtfully answer our questions and concerns. Drs Tweet and Mendez have helped us with palliative care when our cats were suffering from end stage disease. Their consultant surgeons. Are highly skilled. Our dog is recovering well from ACL and Miniscal tear surgery. Our cat had a complicated cancerous skin tumor that was beautifully treated. She did well afterwards for quite some time. Before coming to Meadow we took our beautiful English Short Haired Pointer to a horrific Veterinary group that minimized our concerns and misdiagnosed our dogs problem.. We lost our dog unnnecessarily. This is why we appreciate the care our pets get at Meadow. B. Hirshowitz
