The office staff never smiles which is pretty disconcerting. I dont trust people who dont smile or have a greeting. Maybe it isnt "trust" per se, its just weird. The office waiting room is extremely hot and they wont do anything about it... and considering that so far, for both appointments, Ive had to wait in there over an hour, it can be pretty bad. I was sweating and developed a bad headache. As for the doctor, upon first meeting, he also didnt smile or try to be friendly. He was very impersonal and not a whole lot of eye contact. But he was recommended by my usual gynecologist for a very rare procedure, so I had to keep going to him. The 2nd visit was better with the doctor, he was more friendly. However, his staff was as unfriendly and off-putting as usual. And the staff is more interested in following their set procedure than helping out a patient. That was disappointing. Having to wait weeks for an MRI when they could have taken 4 minutes to fax over the request. Instead, they insisted on having the lab send over a request to them to send over medical records back so they could send them to the insurance, etc. What a huge waste of time--especially if youre bleeding so badly that you are admitted to the hospital for 4 blood transfusions. I have surgery with the doc next week, hopefully it will go well.

Dr. Trachtenbergs office is outdated, as is most of his equipment, and it causes major problems. I was admitted to the ER for heavy bleeding ( during my first pregnancy). The ER doctor informed me I had a Subchorionic hemorrhage, and that I needed to follow up with my OBGYN, the ER Dr. informed me that I was 6 weeks pregnant and that the baby looked fine on the ultrasound. THE VERY NEXT DAY I went to see Dr. Trachtenberg, and was told a completely different story, he told me that my ultrasound showed an empty gestational sac, I was only 4 weeks along (the same thing he had told me two weeks before!) and that my pregnancy was not viable he aso then tried to pull me off myMetformin (necessary to take since I have PCOS and without Metformin my risk of miscarriage doubles). I called a different Dr. who got me in right away and I am happy to report that I am in fact almost 7 weeks pregnant, and that my baby has a nice strong heartbeat. Dr. Trachtenberg left me with no hope, and caused me a large amount of undo stress all because his equipment (and his methods) are archaic. Do yourself a favor and find a better office, save yourself the unneeded heartbreak.

I had Trachtenberg as my ob for my pregnancy. I think he was a VERY GOOD DOCTOR. im reading all these negative reviews trying to figure out why people would feel that way about him. Every doctor visit i was in and out , No long waiting. The front desk lady i believe her name was monica she was really Nice as well as the doctor. When i went into labor he was there before i was i was rushed to the hospital in an ambulence i had called his office to let them know i was going into labor at 4A.m and as soon as i got there he was there and ready. Had me push a couple times and that baby was out and healthy! He even came back to the hospital later that day to check on me. Absolutely loved having him as my doctor!

Ive been a patient of Dr. Trachtenberg since 2008. He is very professional & i love his staff. They are very friendly & always remember me and help me with all the questions i have. Ive never had to wait long at my appointments. I also had a great experience with them during my pregnancy in 2010 and when it was time to deliver the baby, he was there within 15min. They are GREAT and i will definitely be going to them with my next baby.
