UPDATE: So I had a bad experience with the oral surgeon here if you read below. He did good work but the overall experience wasnt good. I emailed the manager of Promenade Dental my experience and she called me that same day. She apologized and was very sincere in saying that is not how they treat their customers and want their customers to be comfortable and have the best experience possible. After speaking to her on the phone, I went in for my follow up appointment and saw the Dentist (not the oral surgeon). He was and always has been a really nice guy and has done great work for me just a few weeks back. He also apologized for my experience and explained better what the bone graft was and why I needed it. It put me at rest that I didnt just throw away money and that my healing was normal. They assured me that they would be speaking to the contracted oral surgeon to make sure this doesnt happen to any future patients. On top of that, the manager Veronica offered me a refund of half the cost of the bone graft since I was not prepared to pay for it nor did I know I would need it in advance. I couldnt be happier with how they handled this situation and I do feel comfortable knowing that it matters to them. Other than this one experience that was with their contractor, I have had incredible experiences with the Promenade Dental Staff. They are really nice and very knowledgable and I will be going back. I hope this review helps! ******************************************************************************************************************** FIRST REVIEW: I had two inlays and two fillings which took way too long, but seem to have turned out good. On the other hand. I had scheduled for two wisdom teeth to be extracted and since they have a contractor come in once a month that was the only day I could schedule it. That day, I show up as normal and go to the reception area. I check in and she tells me the amount it will cost which is $500 more than previously quoted. I asked why it was more expensive and the oral surgeon came to explain that on of my nerves was long and rooted and since my tooth was sideways pressing into my other tooth, once they removed it, there would be no bone to hold it up. They would need to do a bone graft so that I dont lose the other tooth. The fact that it was so connected to my root could also cause me to lose permanent feeling in my face. What?! So this is on THE DAY of surgery, minutes before actually, while I am standing over the reception lobby counter. Some consultation!!!!!!! I was furious. So there, I had minutes to decide if I wanted to do a bone graft, not even fully understanding what that was or what it meant, and I was almost in tears in front of all of the other patients in the lobby. That is not how you should relay information like that. Once I actually decided to go through with it and was getting all hooked up, I was trying to hold back the tears of how upset/scared I was to be having a more complicated procedure done than a routine wisdom tooth extraction. Then, the oral surgeon has the nerve (no pun intended) to comment on the fact that I looked like I was going to cry which put me in tears.... WHILE Then saying "theres nothing we can do about it." NO BEDSIDE MANNER WHATSOEVER!!!!!!!!

I contacted this practice being new to the area and wanted to get a cleaning before year end benefits ended. I made my request via the internet(website), explained I wanted a cleaning appointment and got a call back for someone in Irvine CA? I asked about this and was told they were the answering service (located in Irvine CA), but, they went on to schedule an appointment. Odd, that the answering service would do scheduling. In any event, I provided all the info and got set up with an appointment before years end - Yea! Fast forward 1.5 hours. I get a confirmation call from the local practice confirming my appt with the Dentist. Since I scheduled a cleaning, I pressed the young lady for clarification who finally told me I was not scheduled for a cleaning but an intro appointment. I could not have been more crystal clear on what I contacted them for both in writing (email) and in the set up call. Plain and simple, they ignored me. Im 1000% confident that they do this for financial gain. Had I not pressed the issue, I would have gone in, not gotten a cleaning, spent money on some stupid "intro visit" and lost my cleaning insurance benefit. Scummy, unprofessional, insulting behavior. Now to the facts: Of the eight dentists listed on their web site, 2 have Arizona "Letters of Concern" on their license and one individual has no record of a license (maybe they are new, but who knows based on the way the conduct themselves). Whats that mean, at a minimum, 25% of the professional staff have been investigated by the Arizona Dental Board (ignoring the questionable license) What is a Letter of Concern" - (following taken from AZ dental board) "Letter of Concern" means an advisory letter to notify a licensee or a registered business entity that, while the evidence does not warrant disciplinary action, the Board believes that the licensee or registered business entity should modify or eliminate certain practices and that continuation of the activities that led to infonvation being submitted to the Board may result in board action against the practitioners license or the business entitys registration. A letter of concern is not a disciplinary action. A letter of concern is a public document and may be used in a future disciplinary action, (emphasis added) Based on the shell game scheduling I experienced and the review of the AZ Dental board records (azbod.glsuite.us/glsuite…), I feel like I dodged a bullet. Be proactive and research - you are trusting these people with your health and possibly even your life. Make an informed decision.

First off I attempted to set an appointment up online but you still end up having to call in to set an appointment and when I called in I got hung up on THREE times before I could set my appointment. They would put me on hold and then take me off and I can hear the phone hang up. Which should not have happened 3 times in a row. I didnt have a bad experience at the office the office was nice and everyone is pretty friendly. I am just upset that without my knowledge did a few services that my insurance did not cover which as I said I was 100% unaware of until Cigna sent me an email. If I knew I would be charged out of pocket for the extra facial images I would not have gotten them at all!!! Which its 4 images for $102 each!!! You dont just do services without explaining things like that to the customer. Now I am going to be stuck with a bill I had no clue was going to get. I went in just for an exam and cleaning which the cleaning I did not get because I cant lie my teeth are far from the greatest and they wanted to do a deep clean which I was going to go back and do but since I see they might do something my insurance wont cover I dont need a bigger bill than I would be expecting!!!! So I spent a nice amount of time at the office just for X-rays and facial imaging that I HAVE TO PAY FOR. That I did not ask for!!! And an exam that took all of 10 mins. So overall I wont be returning because communication is important and they failed at that. I rather all my teeth fall out before I decide to return and get billed for things my insurance dont cover without my knowledge!!! Thanks Promenade!!!
