I took my puppy here a while back when he was clearly sick. So sick that, I kid you not, every square inch of the office floor was covered in diarrhea, which they left me in for long periods of time with no way to clean it up. They couldnt figure out what was wrong with him so they kept him for observation overnight. When I picked him up the next day, they just declared it mustve been some strange stomach bug and they otherwise had no answer and gave me a $300 bill. It was on the way up the stairs to my apartment I noticed he seemed to be in pain, and searched him when he cried out trying to get up on the couch. It was then I found a sizeable bleeding gash hidden in his fur on one of his hind legs, deep into muscle. I called and they nonchalantly admitted he had cried all night and hurt himself trying to get out of the kennel and that he had jabbed himself on its wire. I brought him back in and they cleaned it up and gave me some free pain meds (that were probably far too strong, they really knocked him out, never before that day had I seen a high dog), but no other form of apology about not informing me about the incident until I asked or taking care to make sure he was fine after the injury. I would never go back there. I get this is a one time anecdotal experience, but I dont generally write stabbing reviews and their level of professionalism during this incident was unforgivable.

I love this animal hospital! We had just moved here and saw that it was located very close to our home, and honestly thats why I first used them. I had a Teacup Pomeranian who suddenly couldnt walk well. The doctor took a good long time explaining her condition, after which he gave me some free samples of a medication. I found the cost for the office visit very reasonable (less than what I was paying elsewhere). About a week later my dog refused to eat and couldnt hold down water. They allowed me to bring her in (it was Saturday) without an appointment. After a blood test, they needed to do an X-ray and have the equipment there; another thing that sets them apart. Unfortunately, my little girl had a massive tumor. It had probably been there for some time, but my previous Vet did not have the means to detect it. This doctor was so kind and sympathetic explaining that euthanasia was the best recourse. I was, of course, devastated and began crying uncontrollably. She gave me privacy to make a call and time to say goodbye. She couldnt have been nicer. Lastly, I was amazed that the cost for an office visit is no more on a Saturday! I love that they are open 7 days a werk! Best Veterinary service I have ever had!

Last night I noticed my dog was itching a lot and when I lifted her up I saw that her whole stomach was covered in hives. I gave her a recommended dosage of Benadryl and stayed up all night with her to make sure she was okay. In the morning I noticed her condition had not improved and started to look worse. I live in Fayetteville and did a search for "Animal Hospital" on Google and found the Wedington Animal Hospital. When I arrived I told the receptionist about my dogs condition and she told me Id have to wait an hour before a vet would arrive to help me. First off, I would think that an animal hospital would be able to help my dog from the moment they open till they close. I didnt think that Id have to wait over an hour after they open before a vet could arrive to help my dog. was frustrated when I heard that. I then asked the receptionist if there was anywhere else I could go. She said "I dont know". Then I left. Ive never been in a situation where my dog needed emergency help and the last thing I wanted to hear was that an animal hospital couldnt help me right then or that the receptionist couldnt direct me to another clinic.

On Oct13 I had a cat neutered .I have no problems with the vet or the staff. All were great. By pickup time the weather was foggy and misting rain. The vet was not there when I arrived so I waited. In the mean time I payed my bill. When the vet arrived and we conducted business he gave the cat another shot. I took the cat straight to the truck . It look like it was fixing to pour down rain and I did not want to run with the cat carrier to the truck in the rain.As I was shutting the truck door there was the vet asking me if I was going to pay for the shot.I had all intentions to go back in and pay for the shot. I also said as I went by the desk, Id be back. I was 30 minutes early and you were 20 minutes late . I was there almost a hour. I did not complain. But I AM feeling frustrated over your comment. FYI--- Mean kitty is doing fine PS--- Twice Wedington Animal Hospital has asked for a review. So here it is.

We have been customers at Wedington Animal Hospital for almost 9 years and have had nothing but good experiences. Even though one of those dogs eventually had to be put down, WAH tried everything to save her. They were so patient with us and one of the vets even gave me his personal cell phone number near the end for me to call if there was a problem. Another one of our dogs had some serious back issues that escalated quickly from simple pain and odd behavior to complete paralysis of the back half of his body. They got us in immediately and advised us to take him to OSU for emergency spinal surgery (only a handful of places are able to do that). Since it was past regular business hours, they called to get us admitted into that hospital around midnight that night and called multiple times to check on Norman and his surgery while he was there and once we brought him home. Overall we are pleased with their vet services and their boarding services also.

After I freed my pup from prison she needed her spay stitches out and I heard through the grapevine this was the place to go. The grapevine was right! The staff was friendly and wow, were they quick! They took my four legged friend and I back to an exam room before the ink was even dry on the new patient paperwork! Kira left puppy prison extremely timid and skeptical of people so when we got her up on the exam table she was a nervous reck! Hunkered over, shaking from head to paws, giving me the classic "how could you do this to me" look. When the Dr. Came in he was extremely patient and actually took the time to calm her down before he looked her over which was much appreciated by both of us. A few treats, a manicure and a few less stitches later we were on our way out. Stich removal free of charge! If youre lookin for a great vet, paws your search youve found one, and make sure to tail your friends! Muddy paws and kisses, Kira & Courtney
