The dental work done at Atherton Dental is top-notch - which is why I keep going here, and also because they are kind and caring. The hygenist who cleaned my teeth was thorough and very gentle -- a great combination, and was even able to do the cleaning with no help from any other person. Wow. And the dentists are very skilled and knowledgeable. They stay up on all the latest scientific discoveries related to dentistry. I am impressed. One thing that they offer that is nice for some people with dental anxiety is a new patient chair that massages you while they work on your teeth. I myself dont need that sort of thing, as I am very fortunate not to have dental anxiety, but if I did, I am pretty sure that a mechanical massage would not help me. They do take insurance -- Delta Dental, for one -- which is essential, and covers most of the basics, like cleaning your teeth every 6 months, and a few other things. Parking is available in a lot on the property, and if that is full (which it has been only once in the 15 years I have been going here -- 5 years for my previous dentist, and 10 years with Atherton Dental), there is an underground garage that has plenty of room. The office is wheelchair-accessible. -- it is on the second floor, and there is an elevator, which also is accessible from the underground garage. They are quite used to dealing with patients in wheelchairs, too. (Im not in a wheelchair, but I provide this info to help those who must use wheelchairs.) To sum up: Atherton Dental is provides top-notch dental services, and the people are very kind and caring. If you have any questions, they will answer them honestly. And I always can get appointments that are convenient for me.

Nazila and her team are the most professional Dental practice I have ever experienced. I have been a patient for almost 10 years and am always amazed at the friendly and positive environment that I enjoy when I visit. They take care of every detail before, during and after your appointment, making sure you are well informed and comfortable during your treatment. Coming from someone who did not always have the best dental experiences as a kid, I found Atherton Dental to be a "God Send" and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great dentist.

Everyone in the office is lovely, not just Dr. Doroodian, though she is especially kind. Dr. Doroodian and her staff make every effort to help patients to feel comfortable and relaxed and welcome. Dr. Doroodian will take the extra time needed to answer questions and to be certain that patients understand their dental health and to make suggestions for improving the condition of patients gums and teeth. I was referred by a friend, and I intend to refer others. Dr. Doroodian is the best dentist I have ever seen.

Dr. D has been my dentist since before Atherton Dental was a business. She worked with my first personal (as opposed to family) dentist, and took over when he retired many years ago. Probably because of working with him, she is attuned to my need for extra numbing, and my phobia of the overhanging room (and they keep me out unless it is required). Her staff are also attuned and gentle - friendly without being condescending.

Ive been working with Dr. Doroodian for years, driving down all the way from San Rafael to Atherton, because I feel its worth it. Shes one of very few dentists in the Bay Area who use modern laser dental technology, and her work is gentle, thorough and conscientious. Her office staff is considerate and easy to work with. My last cleaning (with technician Nia) was a dream. Id recommend this clinic unreservedly.

Dr. D. offers a great many options and patients health and comfort are her highest concerns. She has gotten me over my terror of the dentist. I wasnt sure what to think going to a dentist that Ive never been to before and trusting her with 3 filings. I have little tolerance for pain so I was super nervous. Other than inconvenience of having the suction device in my month I felt nothing else. There was absolutely no pain. She was super efficient and fast. She got the job done in a timely manner. I highly recommend her.

The hygienists are gentle, even if I really need cleaning. They work with skill and thorough care but Im never uncomfortable. Plus which, they encourage me to floss but never scold if I dont. Dr. Doroodian and her staff go out of their way to make me comfortable and lm actually happy to go to the dentist now.
