I have been going to Dr. Held for dental care since Dr. Zachs father had the business and would not go to anyone else! Everyone there is efficient, caring and do their best to make you feel comfortable and everything is explained so that you can understand what needs to be done and make decisions on whether it can wait or needs to be done now. Ive been very happy with all the service and am willing to make the drive from the east bay to San Carlos just to keep them as my dental office. I always recommend them to anyone who is looking for a dentist.

Held & Lau make going to the dentist a breeze! Their staff is gracious and accommodating -- even when one loses a crown on a Friday afternoon! Their office is modern and high-tech, which I appreciate, and they keep up on all the latest techniques and practices. They replaced 3 ancient fillings I had - and it was relatively painless! Plus, the atmosphere is calm and relaxed, which I appreciate. I will continue to recommend Held & Lau to everyone!

Dental services are fine but they dont notify you what services are covered by insurance and what is out of pocket. I have good insurance through a corporate job and on several occasions received excessive bills, last one was for over $400 for my 9 year old for a basic filling. When we called they said sorry were a specialist dentist and charge our own rates; no help was provided. Well be looking for another family dentist.

I have had work done with both Dr.Held and Dr.Lau and they are amazing. I visited a lot of other dentists in the past and saw the difference. I got dental implants from them a few years ago and the quality of work was very good. Ever since, I always go to them for all my dental work. Their staff is also very cordial and friendly. I would highly recommend them for any person/family looking for long-term dental care.
