Miriam Borrayo
My name is Miriam Borrayo and I had tennis and golf elbow and carpal tunnel syndrome all in the my left arm. After months of pain, visits to the doctor, tests and more I was getting frustrated because everyday I was feeling worst. I got tired of the pain and of the doctors doing nothing for me so I decided to go for another opinion, I started doing my research and I found Doctor John Knight. I call for an appointment and they gave it to me right away, no waiting. When I got the first time to his office it amazed me how kind and nice the staff were to me and how fast they take care of you. Immediately they took me to take X-rays of my hand and elbow, which I think is awesome because it saves you a couple of appointments. In no time Doctor Knight was with me and started the treatment. Unfortunately I needed surgery for the carpal tunnel. I had surgery done on January 3rd and it went great. The very next day in the morning I was able to do a full fist and the numbness in my hand was gone. Five days after the surgery I was able to start therapy and five weeks from the surgery Im going back to work fully recovered. Im really thankful for Doctor Knight and his staff, very professional at all times. At the therapy center I see people that they had the same kind of surgery in August and they still can close their hands, Would I go back to Doctor Knight? without a doubt, YES.

**MUST READ REVIEW** **BEWARE BEFORE YOU MAKE AN APPT** I HAD THE WORST MEDICAL EXPERIENCE OF MY ENTIRE LIFE WITH DR. KNIGHT!!!!!I Dear Potential Patients, Im a Southern California native, born and raised. Married, late thirties and raising a family. IF you were injured on the job and are in the midst of a Workers Comp case DR. KNIGHT will NOT TREAT YOU FAIRLY. Save yourself the time and frustration and go elsewhere. He does NOT prepare for visits prior to your arrival and he does NOT give you the proper attention/respect you deserve. He rushes every appt, DOESNT give a crap about YOU or YOUR CONDITION. After refusing to help me I brought out the medical brochure handout I recieved from his office titled: "Bringing Life Back to Your Hands" by John T. Knight, MD, Director of the Hand & Wrist Institute. Only after I turned to the page that talks about Advanced Wrist Arthroscopy he promised to treat me accordingly. BUT HE FAILED TO DELIVER ON HIS PROMISE!!! HE CANNOT BE TRUSTED!!! Here are a list of words Id use to describe DR. KNIGHT; rude, unprofessional, unethical, dishonest, arrogant and manipulative. IF that is what you are looking for please call for an appt ASAP. Good Luck!

I had been to 2 Doctors prior to visiting Dr. Knight and I was struggling to find a diagnosis. I read many good reviews/testimonials so I decided to give him a try. While Dr. Knight was very nice and informative, I had an extremely poor experience at the Downtown Los Angles location. First, the office staff were unattentive and did not appear to be sensitive to my time nor anyone else in the waiting room. Second, I was sent down to get X-Rays which took no less than 2 hours to get called back (I got a parking ticket because my meter ran out). Following my Xrays, I was sent back up to the office where I waited at least another hour. In summary, the location is terribly uncomfortable and not the level of cleanliness I would expect from an Ortho office, I missed 5 hours of work, didnt learn anything new about my condition, and I feel that I could have had the same experience closer to home. I will not be returning. Maybe the other locations are better....?

Dr. Knight is cold and unwilling to talk doctor to doctor. He has no room to listen to anyone but himself, and has delayed proper care of my fiance due to his inability to communicate directly. He and the office are more concerned with liability than the patients well-being. This guy is a disappointment, I came to him for my fiance after all the great reviews. I dont understand when he wont talk to anyone, or any doctor personally. Apparently, hes too busy to do anything himself, because even when he sees my fiance, the appointment barely lasts 5 minutes, and consists of him talking only. Once, I tried to tell him her background, and his answer was "do you want me to treat her, or not? You can go if not." Im appalled by this, I thought he was a professional. He wouldnt answer any questions regarding medication, and didnt seem to care if it didnt involve what he thought was right.

After being turned down by other surgeons for the type of injury I had, I called Dr. Knights office and scheduled an appointment. Right away, Dr. Knight knew exactly what the problem was and how to fix my arm. I had a torn ligament on my right bicep, and after his evaluation I was scheduled for surgery. The typical injury and recovery time is 6 months or more, but with Dr. Knights new state of the art surgery procedure, that time was cut to 3 months, but actually I was feeling better in 2 months! with minimum pain and 80% movement, and full recovery in just 3 months. The little scar from the operation is only 1.5 inches long and barely noticeable. Dr. Knight will always have my gratitude and I feel 100% to continue my martial arts training. Thanks Dr. Knight! I just want to add that his staff is the best! they are polite and VERY professional!!

Ive had an excellent experience with Dr. Knight and his staff. My son, who broke both the bones in his lower arm last year, was treated by Dr. Knight and we had a great experience. Its hard to keep a cast on a 10 year old so Dr. Knight and his staff referred us to another specialist who built a custom, removable cast after a short time in a traditional cast. (That made things SO much easier!) When I hurt my wrist, he and his staff were incredibly efficient, quickly diagnosing the problem and following up throughout the healing process. I highly recommend them!

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Knight and his staff. I had carpel tunnel surgery and Dr. Knights staff took excellent care of me. Each visit was welcoming and inviting. I never felt rushed at any of my appointments by the staff or Dr. Knight. My surgery went well and my recovery went well. This is not my first carpel tunnel surgery and Dr. Knight did a great job of minimizing the scar, keeping it along the same scar I previously had. I would refer anyone to Dr. Knight and would only want to go back to him.

I have three close friends that have received care from Dr. Knight for hand problems. Two of my friends suffered hand injuries from boxing. Dr. Knight performed surgery on both of them and they are back fully functional, boxing again. My other friend broke his hand playing basketball. Dr. Knight took excellent care of him and fit him into his schedule. I highly recommend the Hand and Wrist Institute.
