Ive been a patient of Dr. Storys for about three years, having initially sought treatment for acute pain due to a sprained ligament in my lower back. Upon our first meeting, during which time Dr. Story conducted a thorough examination to determine the cause of my problem, I found him to be very professional and somewhat reserved. It was clear that he was absolutely intent on fixing, or at least significantly improving, my lower-back issue and relieving me of what was truly debilitating pain. His attitude gave me confidence that I was indeed “fixable” and that I wouldn’t spend the rest of my life in agony. I quickly became a regular patient and initially visited the office about three times a week. Throughout my treatment, Dr. Story constantly chased measurable results, which demonstrated that he was focused on making a real difference. If it seemed that progress wasn’t being made, or being made fast enough, Dr. Story seemed legitimately frustrated. It was obvious that he expected results and would change his approach if he felt he wasn’t getting them. As time went on, Dr. Story did successfully treat my back pain, along with a host of existing issues or injuries that cropped up along the way. Always pragmatic in his approach and willing to invest time in explaining the anatomy of a physical problem, Dr. Story ultimately became less reserved and was very much a joy to work with. Engaging, smart, funny and insightful, I felt that Dr. Story’s input helped me in several areas of my life, not just my physical challenges. Let’s face it: If you need to see a doctor more than once a year, no one wants to return to an office that they hate visiting. No one will continue to regularly see a doctor who doesn’t legitimately help them to feel better, and to whom they don’t genuinely want to talk. Enough said. When an injury involving torn muscles made my life a temporary living hell, Dr. Story was there to put me back together. I do not know what I would have done without him, and I never considered going to anyone else. Dr. Story’s treatment exceeded my expectations. He helped me design workouts that worked for me, set me straight about fad cardio workout videos, and made me laugh when my back made me want to cry. I have recommended and will continue to recommend Dr. Story to anyone in need of a great chiropractor. It also doesn’t hurt that his receptionists are always friendly and easy to deal with, or that there is never a wait. If you visit Dr. Story, you will be glad you did.

Let me start by saying that this man knows what hes doing. Two years ago I began having migraines, seemingly out of the blue, about once a week. One morning I woke up with so much neck pain and tension that I couldnt turn my head side to side, not even a little. I found Dr. Story through a Groupon and tried him out. I explained my chronic condition with the migraines and then my present situation with the pain and loss of neck motion. He didnt "crack" my neck/back like previous chiropractors had done. Instead, he performed trigger point therapy on the effected muscles. I admitted to him on my 2nd visit that I hadnt put much stock into what he had done in the previous visit until that evening when my pain/discomfort/tightness had decreased from a 9 down to a 3. I was absolutely amazed! For the first time in a very long time I felt true relief that wasnt caused from medication. Ive been seeing him once a week for several weeks, and I can count on one hand the number of migraines Ive had in that time. When I started seeing him I was having 2 per week, and now I may get one every 3 weeks or so, and whats more is that theyre not as intense as they used to be. Also, Im able to LIVE LIFE and do all of the things Id stopped doing for fear of triggering a migraine. My condition is chronic so my treatment time has taken longer, but I dont mind. Really, I dont, because for the first time since these migraines started I feel as though I will once again be migraine-free. Again, let me say that this man knows what hes doing. He puts thoughtful consideration into his patients condition and weekly treatments. He understands, in great depth, the biomechanics of the human body and explains them in an easy-to-understand language that makes a novice feel like a pro. He is not your average chiropractor, and in my humble opinion, thats what makes him one of the best. He is absolutely worth every penny.

As a person who has exercised regularly over the past 40 years of my life, I am particular on who I seek for treatment of the various injuries I have encountered. I initially discovered Dr. Story when I was seeking treatment for a shoulder injury. Other doctors I previously consulted prescribed painkillers and recommended surgery, which I vehemently opposed. Dr. Story successfully treated the injury without drugs and surgery. Since then, he has successfully treated injuries (knee, back, calf, elbow, etc.) that I inflicted upon myself usually caused by my carelessness while performing strenuous physical activity. To this day, I have never had any type of surgery or take any medication for any physical ailments. One of the major reasons for this has been Dr. Story’s excellent professional chiropractic treatment. Throughout the years, besides providing excellent chiropractic treatments, he has also educated me on how to better take care of myself with his holistic knowledge of the human anatomy. This includes exercise and stretching techniques, diet, posture, etc., all of which has helped me stay in decent shape and helped me maintain a regular exercise regime. He has always been up front on whether he can help me or if I should seek other avenues for treatment. He immediately informs me if I am doing something that puts me at risk of injuring myself. He has always strived to impart knowledge and habits that will ultimately keep me from visiting him for some type of injury treatment. It is also nice to know that he does practice what he preaches. I see him regularly for chiropractic tune ups on my body and continue to seek his advice on my physical wellbeing.

Ive been lifting weights for the better part of 3 years now and was moving furniture before that for several years. In my experience with the typical chiropractic treatment theyll adjust your back and send you on your merry way. Well, not so with Dr. Story because theres way more to it than just your spinal health. He was able to not only take care of my spine but identify an imbalance between my left and right arm/shoulders which he has been treating, along with a pinched ulna nerve that was causing numbness in my extremities and contributing to the imbalance between my left and right side. Adding to that, hes helping me work on my hip and ankle mobility and recommended stretches based on my own individual physiology. Which has not only made just existing on a day to day better but has greatly helped to improve my squat and even my deadlift, believe it or not. On top of all that you can tell hes passionate about what he does as you walk into his office and see a wall of accolades regarding his education on total body chiropractic care. Hes a nice guy and doesnt mind answering questions because in doing so it helps me learn about my body, which helps him diagnose and treat any problems. I could go on but I recommend doing yourself a favor and going to see him yourself. I dont think I could have made a better choice when it comes to the quality of care I have received thus far and continue to receive each time I visit.
