I would give Dr. Childress 10 stars out of 5 if I could! I cannot imagine that there is a finer dentist in the country. I have been a patient for over 30 years, and I am grateful to Dr. Childress for the care he has provided for me and my family. Dr. Childress and his staff are friendly, courteous and professional. They provide excellent dental care, but they provide more than that. Dr. Childress is a kind and compassionate man who truly cares about people. My son Dan lost a tooth playing basketball on Memorial Day when he was 11 years old, and Dr. Childress came in to his office to care for my son and his tooth. I was very grateful for his care that day, but it didn’t end there. Dr. Childress continued to care for Dan, providing temporary remedies while he was still growing, and patiently replacing and fixing and adjusting these as Dan lost them or broke them. When Dan stopped growing and it was time for a permanent solution, Dr. Childress constructed an implant for the missing tooth as well as one for a nearby missing tooth. By this time Dan was working long hours every weekday, and Dr. Childress worked around Dan’s work schedule to construct the implants. Dr. Childress is a fine man who sincerely cares about his patients. I consider myself very fortunate to be one of them.

Royal Treatment. I had two fillings on this visit and while Dr Alassad was treating me I had time to think about what was happening. First I was in clean, modern office with attractive art and plants everywhere. The staff was engaging and pleasant, as though they enjoyed coming to work and being with each other. My treatment began within minutes of my arrival which is an indication of respect for my time, and good planning. In the chair I had an opportunity to appreciate the technology that Childress and Alassad had installed and how much this has changed in the 70 years since my first visit to the dentist. They make systematic use of macro photography as both a diagnostic and teaching tool. Dr. Alassad : "Heres what that tooth looks like to me, heres why thats a problem, heres how I propose to fix it." Finally, Dr Alassad is gentle, quiet and focused. He and his assistant communicate quietly and efficiently. Even though I cant see whats going on I have the sense that I am watching a technical artist at the top of his game. Im looking forward to many years of royal treatment twice a year.

You cannot possibly have a more positive dental experience than with Dr. Childress and his amazing staff. Dr. Childress is an accomplished expert. He is thoroughly trained in the the most advanced dental procedurues and his use of cutting edge technology adds a definite cool factor to your experience. In addition, his kind and gentle demeanor are calming and re-assuring. How can you do better than that? You cant, but theres more. His technicians are engaging and well trained and his administrative staff is absolutely over-the-top friendly, happy, and accomodating. Because of all this I actually look forward to my dental visits. I think an appopriate summarizing slogan for Dr. Childress and his staff would be "Dentistry Made Fun!"

If you are looking for a dental practice that is on the cutting edge of dental science, then look no further. The staff in the front office are so friendly and personable. They make me feel so welcome every time I come in. My hygienist, Laurie, is very good at her job. She does an excellent job cleaning my teeth, while ensuring my comfort and engaging me in pleasant conversation. The office is super clean and there are orchids everywhere! My kids love Dr. Jim, he always makes their visit to the office one to look forward to. No easy feat when you are dealing with young children and the dentist! I would wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Childress and his amazing staff!

There is something to be said about a dental office of this caliber. Dr. Childress and staff go above and beyond for your comfort and needs. This office is up to date with the latest equipment and features yet as a patient I never feel I am paying the price for it. I am always given options when it comes to dental work and encouraging advice when it comes to my hygiene appointments. I am a person who has had terrible and expensive dental work in the past and slowly correcting these issues with the help of the BEST office in YOLO County 14 years running. Wouldnt go anywhere else.

Dr. Childress is by far the best dentist I have known all my life and I am 79 years old. My most recent experience with Dr Childress was the bridge that he replaced . My earlier bridge was 22 years old and was wearing out. It took him three hours of patient hard work to remove the old bridge and make a temporary one until the new one arrived.. Needless to say the entire experienced far exceed my wildest expectations. Dr. Childresss staff is most competent and helpful.. I strongly recommend Dr. Childress if you are looking for the best dentist in Davis and the surrounding area.

He and his staff are extraordinary in all aspects: His assessments of dental needs, his treatments, his proactive advice and outside consultation with others when needed, his selection of specialists to whom he refers specialized dental needs not done by his office, his continuous upgrading of equipment, and his hiring practices that result in an amazing staff that reflect his high standards, skills - and his heart. I could not more highly recommend Dr. Childress and his staff.

Dr.Jim is the best dentist I have ever been to. I started with his brother Dr.Don many years ago before he retired. He was best too! I reccomend Dr.Jim very highly. I had a tremendous fear of dentist from passed experience. But, from the very first time I entered into his office, I felt safe. Dr Jim and Staff are very professional and careing people. I have had alot of work done and its hard for me to express how satified and pleased I have been each time. Absolutely painless and very comforting. Keep Up the good work Dr. Jim and staff.

As nervous as I was for my appointment, all was put to ease. Believing Im a failure for loosing an adult tooth (that was beyond my control)-Dr Childress and staff took care of every need. Medically, professionally, emotionally and did it poeticly. It was like a dance-how six handed dentistry moved and swayed with whispers, rhythmically around me- turned a stressful situation into a cake walk.

GO AGAIN: Yes! I have my teeth cleaned 4 times a year, even though I have to pay for the two visits not covered by insurance. Wonderful teeth cleaning by Lori! I was visiting from Phoenix andgoing to celebrate my twin grandchildren 7th birthday Thursday night my temporary cap came off so Friday morning I went to his office before their 8AM opening and Dr Childress took in and re attached my temporary cap and saved our weekend Friendly and knowledgeable staff and a great Dentist Thank you Dr Childress
