A couple of years ago I went to Green Valley for an emergency root canal. 6 hours later, we were finally getting close to the end of the procedure, and I could see that something had gone wrong by the panic on the dentists face. It turned out that the dental assistant had grabbed the wrong bottle...one that I was told later should have been put away...and they were cleaning my mouth out with chloroform. My mouth was burned, inside and out, and they shrugged off the whole incident, apologizing once and then calling in a prescription for burn cream for my face, where it had trickled down. Nothing was taken off my bill, and I ended up paying over $800 out of pocket..on top of the $1500 my insurance covered for facial scars. They were not willing to let me pay in installments. Unbeknownst to me, my parents were going here as well. My mother had work done on a bridge she later found out she didnt need, and my father was double billed for something and then sent to collections when he didnt pay the $400 overcharge. After the first time, he went in and they apologize and reversed the charge. Last week, he started receiving notices from another collections agency again. This office is cold and impersonal, and their only concern is the up-sell. What can they offer you that you will have to pay extra for, and how much can they overcharge you for it. I have not yet met anyone who has had a good experience here, and very, very much discourage anyone from making my mistake.

Visited once for a cleaning as they were listed as an option from our HMO dental insurance plan. My daughter and I went in for a cleaning and never received a scaling but only the polish. When I inquired as to why they missed a cleaning step, I was told by the "dental assistant" that the dentist only did the scaling (where they scape your teeth with a sharp metal tool) when it was needed. They did not appear to have a "dental hygienist" on staff. Never before had I hear this and furthermore, we moved last year and my cleaning was well overdue. My husband has a worse experience. He agree to switch out some of his old metal fillings (which never bothered him, but were recommended he remove). The dentist cut his tongue with the drill and now he has to seek out further treatment because one of the teeth in question is constantly aching. Very disappointed. We have filed a quality of care complaint with our insurance carrier.

Chose GV because they are in network with my Blue Cross policy. First visit went OK but there was a steady procession of people coming in and trying to convince me to have additional work done. There seemed to be an entirely different staff on my second visit except for the receptionist and I was informed that I needed periodontal work and a crown and that they could perform the work immediately. After some hesitation on my part I implied that I just wanted to go with a cleaning that visit and they said there was no point in even having my teeth cleaned. After I insisted they sent someone in who spent all of three minutes on a cursory polishing. A follow-up visit on my part to a another local dentist confirmed my suspicions that these procedures were not necessary and GV was just looking to sell as much as I was willing to buy. Approach with caution. I will not be going back.

I was referred to Green Valley Dental Group because my regular dentist could not see me & I needed an emergency appointment. I was in pain & scared but from the moment I walked in the door the receptionist & Joe the office manager took incredible care of me. When I found out my insurance wouldnt allow me to be seen at their office Joe immediately picked up the phone & started making calls to every office that accepted my insurance to try & find someone who could see me that day (Friday). When all of his attempts failed he explained what my options were & he did everything in his power to help me figure out the financials. He was able to work with me & set me up with a line of credit so I wouldnt have to pay anthing upfront. With Christmas only weeks away this was a lifesaver! I cannot say thank you enough for everything you & your office did for me that day! You are amazing!

My son got braces from Green Valley Dental Office. A big portion of his appliance fell off due to the poor quality work done by their staff. The big thick steel wire popped out of his mouth and the small parts on the appliance are loose also. He cannot eat. The small parts on the application can fall off and get swallowed at any time. Since they do not have their own orthodontists and the orthodontists work in other dental offices that day, they told me to come back in 5 days to get it fixed. Green Valley Dental does NOT have any emergency plan for its patients. They do not care about their patients at all. The high turn over rate of their dentists and orthodontists limit the quality of their services. I took my son to another orthodontists office in the Town Center and they got it fixed in less than 10 minutes. I will definitely file a complaint to dental association.

My wife called me after leaving this place and I was so upset. Her experience was similar to a visit to a used car lot as others have posted on here. So she was cleaned and checked out by one person, then another comes in...almost like a sales manager/specialist...she said they offered her all sorts of work and were throwing around crazy prices, some needed and some not. My wife then declined the work at those costs, the dentist or original person came back in and went over what she really needed done, then said they would "work with her on the costs". Then that person left and the salesperson came back and started negotiating in essence haggling on the prices of some of the necessary work. 4 hours later she leaves and we are in the whole over a grand...not even sure at this point what portion if any was covered by our dental insurance. What a joke of a business.

Not sure why everyone else had a lousy experience, but Ive had no problems. New dentist recently, so maybe thats the difference. I had a toothache shortly after moving here and called them. Not only did they get me in that afternoon, but they did x-rays and an examination and determined that it was actually a bad sinus infection. And didnt charge me for the visit since it wasnt tooth related! I guess the only real issue Ive had here is that when trying to schedule a cleaning it was four months out because theyre so busy. (Im giving this 4 out of 5 stars because 5 is "loved it" and does anyone really love going to the dentist?)

This is the worst dentist I have ever been to all they want is money. I needed my teeth clean which is covered by my insurance they would not clean my teeth untell they could have me do other things on my teeth by my third vist there they would finaly clean my teeth and i needed a crown which they didnt want to do a crown that my insurance covered they wanted me to get the one that would cost me 1055.00 out of pocket because they didnt recommend that one. Worst dentist ever and will never return. Dentist was rude and I sat in the chair for 5 hours.
