I would like to say that this was the best experience that any pet owner could ever have but it was not for them or for me. I live out of the city-limits so my options are very limited on what doctors I would go to or trust. With that being said things got off on the wrong-foot but being in the customer-service business you have to be service with a smile whether your day started off wrong or you had a problem. I couldnt find that within myself After watching my cat get attacked by 2 dogs. I show up to their front door I get passed up by one doctor who (the one that drives the brown ford superduty)rushing to go in through the back-door I asked the ladies to open up the door my cat has just been attacked by 2 dogs can you help me they look at me with a nasty and rude face and say were closed (7:30am) and then they start to walk around to have another lady walk up to the door after I yelled again I need help to give me a rude and nasty look is beyond what words can describe I used foul language I was a total jerk but my animal was dying I needed help and you refused to help me because I used bad language shame on You and your doctors "Robert McMillan Would-be rolling over in his grave" to know this is the kind of customer-service and care you get at this establishment. So me and my wife with tears in our eyes get back in the car and rushed to Kitty Hawk animal hospital only to find out that my cat is dead!!! I believe if you would teach your employees to respect And use better communication skills to customers no matter what and give service with a smile no matter what the outcome would have ended up a lot better but when youre in distress and you have a member of your family dying what would you do ?

The veterinarians are good with your pets and are good at treating you, the pets person, as part of the treatment team. The U.C. Animal Hospital treats a variety of pets. Very knowledgeable about ferrets. Their charges for services are average but the charges for products sold, are on the high side. For example a dog cone for an 80 pound dog had a price of $20.00. A bath for an 80 pound dog was priced at $45.00, office visit with no additional service or product priced at $55.00. So, cone very expensive, bath and office visit with veterinarians reasonably priced. I particularly like Dr. Gates as he has a kind "bedside" manner. He is great with cats. My cats have always been very relaxed around him. I have seen him be very thorough in the office exam of one of my dogs. This veterinary hospital is VERY busy and the small front waiting area can get crowded. There are usually three front desk staff at the desk. They have a teensy desk area space in which to work. This may account for their irritated attitude at times. Front desk staff also ignore everyone waiting until they call their name. They dont acknowledge those waiting and they dont appear to try to be aware of who is "in line" and in what order they arrived. You can wait up to 30 minutes just trying to pay your bill or to get your dog. If you are concerned about your pet and want good veterinary care for your pet I would recommend that you take them to the U.C. Animal Hospital.

The staff is very friendly (to both man and beast), and knowledgeable about animal care. I have seen animals as small as hedgehogs to as large as an Irish wolfhound (one of the vets has one), and many sizes in between. For regular visits, this is probably 5 stars. On the other hand, the parking area and lobby are small. More than once I have just parked on the grass. There are probably also better places to board your pet if you will be gone long. Large dogs are penned (individually) on cement floors. They provide sheets, but those are definitely not enough padding. There also does not seem to be a very large area for outdoor play.

Dr. Proctor is the absolute best! I have been taking my pets to Universal City Animal Hospital for 13 years or more. The staff has always been caring and friendly, making my husband and I feel appreciated and our animals cared for. Their tenderness, compassion and understanding during the loss of a pet is amazing. If you have a Chineses Shar Pei, I highly recommend Dr. Proctor as your go to care giver for your dog. He is very noligable with this special breed and truly cares. The staff is awesome. If they are busy, its because the office is busy, but they will always make you feel like you and your pets are important to them.

Amazing board! Totally coming back here anytime I need care for my dog. I am also coming back, from across town, for all his medical needs. Thats how great this place is, and how much I trust it. I took my Akita to Rob Carey on my last trip, and they made my dog sleep in his own pee, get sick, and dehydrated (and it cost way more). Here, my dog was in super shape. Overall, he was really healthy and really happy. Didnt even loose an ounce of weight. The staff is really friendly, and genuinely cares about animals. I am finally resting easy now, knowing that I can always rely on this place for boarding.

I was very nervous about taking my first puppy in for his first shots as I have heard vets can be rough with the animals but I didnt want him to get sick. I am so glad I chose this animal hospital! Timely, affordable and more importantly, caring is the way I would describe this location. The staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable. You feel like your pet/bestfriend are in the best hands possible and even though he got a shot today, my puppy left wagging his tail =)

The girl at front desk cold and uncaring. We carried our dog inside he was weak. Hed been bit by something. We asked for him to be seen as soon as possible (because of anaphylaxic shock setting in) Her exact response was "its not gonna happen" Thats not what anyone wants to hear when carrying in your pet. Cold and uncaring was what I got from her. Needless to say we drove elsewhere. Lost a great customer thanks to uncaring employee.

This is, by far, the best clinic I have ever been to with my animals. I had to put down my 18 year old cat and they made it so much easier. They treated sassy with respect and took very good care of him. They took the time to write cards before they even asked for payment. All of my animals will go here from now on and I strongly suggest anyone else to do the same. This place really cares about the animals.

I am still new to the area, and have had my pets treated here since February of this year, very nice and helpful staff, very sincere and caring. We recently had to put down a 10 year old family pet down, and could not have asked for a better experience under the circumstances. Highly recommend their services to anyone out there who needs a good Vet. Prices very reasonable as well.
