The service and care you receive is kind. I really feel like the techs and well, pretty much everyone there loves animals. The prices are a bit high ,but I think the care you get from the doctor and people is quality thats worth it. Also its the doctors who call you back with lab results and are willing to take the time to answer your questions. I have to admit that you can sometimes wait a long time, even if you have an appointment. - ,but this is probably because they take the time to answer your questions when it is your turn. I almost forgot to mention, I love that theyre bringing in technology. They took a picture of my pup to put on her file. The doctor asked if I wanted to be texted a picture of my baby once she was out of surgery. Love it. Overall I feel comfortable making this my babies clinic. tl;dr: pros: - caring staff - caring doctors - ease in making appt + great reminder notifications - emailed receipts, pics sent to you of your baby while in their care cons: - wait time can vary, can take a long time (even with appt)

Weve been with VCA little animal hospital since 2010 in Florida on the Little Rd. New Port Richey, Florida 34668 with Dr. Parenton, NOW we are with Dr. Johnson at Lota Dr. S.A., TX. Location and we will never take our babies anywhere else. Our Older girl was as diagnosed with Lymphoma that spread so fast that we didnt have time to make a decision on treatments. It broke our hearts we had to put her down. Dr. Parenton and her staff loved us and Leela all the way through it and after. Our little girl Moxie was so sad about losing Leela that she nearly died of a broken heart but with the love that she has been shown and the care of Dr.Parenton and NOW Dr. Johnson and her staff at the new facility here in San Antonio we could not be more happy. Moxie was seen on her first visit and given her shots and Dr. Johnson answered all of our questions. We will never leave VCA as long as we have pets. They love and care for your babies like they are their own.

Wow! All I have to say worst place ever!! I had to bring my 14 yr dog for check up due to some complications she had. I called the clinic earlier in the day the guy was extremely helpful. I explained that my dog is older so gets agitated and nervous in this environment. He said no problem they can accommodate. Well show up for my appointment and is the necessary paperwork and wait in waiting room. Time passes and passes see the girls chatting an flirting with clients. Im waiting and waiting finally they bring us into a room 40 mins after actual appointment. In the room we sit another 30 minutes while my dog is shaking and nervous as she can be. Finally I say forget it tell the girl you know what were leaving this is ridiculous. Then only then she mentions "oh Im sorry we had emergency and only one doctor, would you like to reschedule. Are you serious after 1 HR and 15 mins after my appointment you mention this. Never again going there!

Outstanding staff and clinic, and absolutely the best experience Ive ever had at a vets. I had an emergency with my cat Fred a couple days ago on a Saturday; I called the office, told them what had happened and they explained that there were no appointments open that day but a walk-in was absolutely welcome. I was in and out within less than an hour(!!!), and Dr. Fay was so wonderful with my cat. I was astonished at how amazing the experience turned out to be. The whole staff was kind and caring and really worked with me on the financial part too which I appreciate so, so much. Freds got another couple of weeks of home care before his paw heals completely, but its exponentially better than it was two days ago. Thank you all so much. I was dreading the whole situation beforehand, but instead got the most prompt, kind, and quality care I couldve imagined. Im definitely making this my new choice vet clinic.

Everyone was so nice and helpful! We adopted a dog from a local shelter thinking he was healthy but wanted to make sure. Its a good thing we brought him in because during our 830 appointment, we found out our dogs ears and paw were infected. They were able to clean his ears and paw that morning and sent us home with some antibiotics. We really appreciated the extra care Dr. Sartor took to get to know us and our dog. He explained the procedures/medicine our dog needed and called a couple days after the appointment to make sure our dog was doing okay. Its nice to know our vet cares about our dog as much as we do. Thank you!

Last year my boxer needed to be quarantined for rabies and I chose them to do so as required by animal control since they have provided all of our vet needs in the last 6 years. This was the worst experience I have ever had given the fact they had the records of her current rabies shot and they had lied about it to the animal control officer. Their costly and unprofessional treatment was such a disappointed for me since we have been taking all of our dogs to them for so long. I will never go back to them, beware of their record keeping and know there is a possibility of you not getting the truth from them.

Wasnt given opportunity to say "no" to a vaccine that is actually not mandated for my new dog; was instead handed a "quote" and then walked away from until treatment was complete. Then, when I went to pay, turns out something was misquoted and I actually owed more money. They were excellent with my cat, but I will be taking my dog somewhere else. Also, was called the day after my visit and quoted $45 for an over-the-counter medication that is tested and true, available at Petsmart and has widely accessible dosage/treatment information available out there. Pet owners beware!!

You can tell when people truly enjoy their jobs and care for animals. I would highly recommend this vet to anyone in SA. Not only did my cat receive great care, but I paid half of what I would have paid somewhere else, just in exam costs alone. I would like to personally thank Dr. Sartor & Dalton for taking exceptional care of my cat, Garf. They explained everything that was being done & handled the whole procedure the same day, even staying after hours for us.

From the time of my arrival for my puppy Ruby, I was greeted and treated with great service by Larissa. The assistant Christina was very nice and friendly as well as knowledgeable in answering my questions prior to meeting Dr. Guerrero. I was very pleased with the exam by Dr. Guerrero and her care and gentleness towards Ruby. I can say this place is now my place of choice for my puppy. And I would recommend anyone to bring their beloved pet to VCA.

Excellent vet office to go to, taken my puppy here for all her shots and nail trimming and never had an issue. Gets very packed, probably because the prices are really fair! They dont try to stick you for unnecessary treatments or anything like that. They do however not let you go in the back with the animal during treatment, they do answer all your questions as well as put you at peace with the process. Completely trustworthy place to go to!
