We recently had both our kittens declawed at this facility. I had called around and they by far offered the best rate. The facility is clean and beautiful. The staff are wonderful. Buddy was ready to go the day after his surgery. The other kitten, Violet, had to stay because after the surgery she decided to chew at her front right paw. They kept her without charging us any extra and allowed us to visit her when we wanted. They called daily to give us updates. After she chewed at it, the hospital soaked it in Epsom salt twice daily to help relieve the swelling. The office also gave us 2 bags of the appropriate kitty litter that we needed to use after surgery- at no extra cost to us. They even called the day after we took Violet home to check on her. Her paw was still a bit swollen but my daughter insisted she come home. This hospital really wowed me and exceeded my expectations! If you are in the market for a vet in NE San Antonio, you wont find another facility that cares more for your pets. I HIGHLY recommend Garden Ridge Pet Hospital-they go above and beyond for your furry friends. Thanks Again for the great care for Buddy and Violet!

My dog, Sadie, has suffered from terrible allergies her whole life (almost 5 years). Weve been to numerous veterinarians and a pet allergist. So, I was surprised to get some new ideas to help her from Dr. Templeman. He also prescribed her a spray I hadnt tried before for hot spots which worked wonderfully with no side effects. He discussed every possible angle for addressing her allergies: diet, hygiene, etc. Better yet, I felt like I could have asked five minutes worth of additional questions and he wouldnt have minded at all. After implementing his suggestions, Ive found Sadie chews her feet about 75% less! This is amazing considering all the things we were already doing for her to reduce her allergies.The facilities are clean, no wait, and I even got a follow-up call. Very impressed.

We recently had to have our dear dog Scrappy put to sleep. She came to us as a rescue at 6 weeks old already showing signs of abuse. Dr Kevin and Liz Templeton had been her vet all her life, (she was 11). She had terrible allergies all her life. Dr Kevin worked with us with diet and medication to make her life easier. Because of this, she was a happy dog that ruled the roost! It was a sad day when Dr Liz discovered tumors throughout her abdomen. Scrappy and I were in compassionate hands that difficult day we said goodbye.Our family has used the services of this wonderful team and staff since their beginning, and would never contemplate going elsewhere. I highly recommend Gardenridge Animal Hospital for all you veterinary needs.

Two years ago today, my dog died from the neglectful treatment from the husband and wife team at this vet. Be very wary of taking your dog here, especially older dogs. Even the emergency clinic I took her to for treatment (unsuccessful as the condition had gone on too long) was shocked that two vets didnt see the obvious symptoms of congestive heart failure acquired after a teeth cleaning. I tell everyone I know not to use this business. I gave this advice to one lady who asked me about a vet, and when I told her who not to go to, she said she had already visited them and was NOT impressed. So, this is not just me talking. Be very careful.

Dr. Kevin Templeton has been seeing my 4 dogs and 1 cat over the past several months. He always spends lots of time with them and is very thorough. He explains everything he does and seems to be a genuinely good hearted person. The Techs, Veterinary Assistants and support staff have always been extremely courteous and friendly. The clinic is always very clean and I have never had to wait for more than a couple of minutes. I am delighted to have found this Veterinary Clinic so near home and so caring. Best Veterinary Care experience I have had in years.

Dr. Kevin saved my dogs life! Without my knowledge, our pomeranian ate one of my prescription pills that she found on the floor. By the time we got her there, she was barely breathing. Dr. Templeman took her in the back room, put her on oxygen and sat with her until she was ready to go home. I didnt know it until he told me that she had actually stopped breathing, and at that point, he didnt think she would live. She did make it and has suffered no problems since. I will always take my pets to this office!

Docs Kevin and Liz are the most caring and capable vets weve known. We transferred to Garden Ridge Animal Hospital after nearly losing one of our precious pups a few years back (we have 5 dogs). We wondered why we hadnt been at Garden Ridge Animal Hospital all along. They offer good advice, provide top notch treatment, never gouge us and they treat us like family.
