My good experience with this dental office has hit a glitch this time. My regular hygienist was unexpectedly out of town and I was stuck with a substitute hygienist who was "rough"...shes not done "prophy jet" for 19 years...the machine malfunctioned and no water was coming out... they helped her fix it...cleaning went on but the coordination between cleaning and sucking the water out of my throat was just not there. I had to hold my breath a lot this time trying not to swallow ... and even that was hard because the hygienist walked away a few times leaving the drill or whatever the tool was in my mouth! The worst moment was she did that during prophy jet, I had salt and a cleaning tool rest in my mouth ... i needed to swallow but couldnt and she walked away! I looked around trying to find for a box of tissue to spit out whatever was in my mouth but couldnt find any tissues... I was miserable. I miss my regular hygienist Karen! I need the office to notify me and allow me to reschedule if similar situation occurs again, not just stuck me to an outside substitute hygienist. I understand the dental office is growing, and if they make hiring outside substitute hygienist a regular practice, the quality of service will take certainly a hit. My husbands appointment was a week later, and he saw someone else this time as well; he also said this time was different.

Awesome as usual Love the staff and the Drs. Todays visit was great. I saw two Drs in short amount of time as a follow-up to a root canal and new crown. The visit was great, everyone was super friendly, especially Christie and Sam as well as the two Drs. Loretta and Dr Ks personal assistant were also great. I come all the way from New Braunfels, we recently moved from 1604 and Bandera Rd to NB, to have my dental work done here because most everyone is so great and easy to deal with. The office was clean as usual and my wait time was minimal. I highly recommend this practice and my family members, wife, daughter, and sometimes my son, use this practice for our dental work. Again, I highly Dr K, Dr Gottwald, Dr Spruell and most of the staff. Most of the staff is great except there are a few people on the staff that I normally do not like to deal with. However, Sam and Christie are usually able to take care of all my scheduling and insurance needs. I use two dental insurance for coverage and appreciate their office (Dr K, Christie & Sam) working through the complicity of that along with my other dental providers I use. Again, I highly recommend this practice or wouldnt drive 40 miles each way to see them each time. I hope this review his helpful to others.

My co-worker was referred from the Veteran Affairs Dental Clinic to this dental office. She spoke volumes about the cleanliness of the facility, the friendly staff and the inviting atmosphere as soon as you walk into the door. I recommend this dental office to all of my co-workers, friends and family. Every visit Im welcomed as if Im apart of the family. When my wife passed, the dental office sent flowers and a card which was very professional, classy and showed me how much they cared. From the Receptionists to the Dental Hygienists to the Dentists, I have never met such a professional, courteous and caring office. The service is exceptional and the environment is phenomenal. For those that like technology, this dental office has check in through a iPad not hassling with a lot of paper like most dental offices. Very efficient and extremely modern. Again, you will be very pleased. I have never seen so many people come in and out of a dentist office smiling and happy. Please visit you will not be disappointed.

I have been overall pleased with my experience with Kinard Family Dental Practice. The receptionist, Sarah is delightful. She took extra time to explain my insurance benefits as did Sam. Sam is pleasant and keeps my family on target for appointments. The techs are all kind. Procedures typically run on time. I request and get the same hygienist for my cleanings. Dr. Sproull and Dr. Gottwald are both knowledgeable and efficient. My husband has Invisalign braces and the staff has worked with his difficult schedule. My son had a night guard made. He is quite happy with the fit and it prevents him from tooth grinding when he sleeps. I am having old crowns replaced and had several hours of work done by Dr. Sproull. I chose sedation for the procedure and everything went well. Also as I am having a lot of work done on my teeth, Dr. Sproull helped me prioritize my treatment plan. My entire family has had good experiences with Kinard Family Denistry.

First of all I would like to thank Dr. Kinard and her wonderful team for such an amazing experience. From the time I walked into the super cleaned office, I was kindly greeted by Sarah Tello the front office support, to Karen the dental hygienist, who was so professional, knowledgeable and had the best chair side manners ever. In fact, once my hygiene was completed, I was hen greeted by the Sarah Walker, the dental assistant who very experienced and sweet. Even the checkout process went smooth with Sam Smithson, the front office/ treatment coordinator staff member, was very cheerful and extremely friendly. Furthermore, Dr. Kirand exhibition of genuineness to her new patient and compassion was like no other dentist I have ever been too. Again, the entire staff made a fantastic first impression and this made a huge impact on the entire workflow and I am glad to say, I finally found a dentist office that makes me feel like family.

I truly LOVE the atmosphere at this office! The staff knows you by name which makes you feel so welcomed! I have recommended almost my entire office coworkers in which they too come here now. My personal most favorite aspect of this place are the dentists themselves.Dr. Kinard has always delivered such a sincere concern for me, yet very professional and comforting as though I was part of her family.Her demeanor is always so friendly and in addition, she always has such a gentle touch I might add. Mrs. Janet is amazing as well; shes so knowledgable with any concerns; there hasnt been a question she couldnt answer for me yet. :) This is definetly a dentist office I will be coming to for years to come. I HIGHLY recommend Gottwald Family Dentisty to anyone and everyone! 5 STARS! I never thought I would love coming to the dentist! Thank you all for being so fabulous!

Before my last visit, I had always had a very positive impression of this dentist. They were able to work me in for an emergency when my tooth broke, so I switched. However, my last visit was a disaster. I had a new hygenist, who left me sopping wet. I mean my shirt collar was ringing wet. She didnt seem to know how to use the suction correctly. The girl who ran the xrays could only use the hand held unit, and had to take multiple shots to get what they needed. The receptionist was new, and had trouble with their computer and couldnt even handle a cash payment. Finally, I had a new DDS. She was fine, but all I wanted was a report of no issues, so I wouldnt know if shes any good or not at this point. The regular dentist and hygienist and receptionist have always been excellent. This was way different.
