Dr.Henry Weir is an amazing doctor. My dog Rocky recently go very sick as we were passing through San Antonio on the way to Houston. He was so sick that we couldnt take the chance that he would make it back home. He had diarrhea and blood in his stool. We took him to Dr. Weir and he quickly ruled out the Parvo virus, which was are biggest concern. He stayed in the hospital for about two days and recovered well. What I liked about Dr. Weir was his knowledge as a Doctor, and his compassion for Rocky and for us, as first time dog owners. He was accessible to us when ever we came into the office to check on Rocky. He let us know at all times what was going on and in no way did he try to push on us any unnecessary tests that they didnt need. While Rocky was recovering, Dr. Weir was able to take care of our other dog Max with some routine shots and dental work that he needed. His staff was wonderful and friendly; they were kind enough to bathe Rocky before returning him to us. I was worried because I expected an outrageous bill, but for all the work that was done to Rocky and my dog Max, it turned out to be less than I expected. His prices are very reasonable. We have decided to make him our Vet, and look forward to driving to Universal City for our dogs routine care.

Dr. Weir is the only vet i have ever met that still practices diagnose and confirm. Most vet offices these days want to immediately take an xray, run blood and fecal, etc. Those results tell them what is wrong with your pet. However, many times those tests are unnecessary and just empty your bank account. Dr. Weir will assess your pet with a physical exam, and THEN tell you what he feels is wrong. He will then let you know if you need any test to confirm. He is honest and will tell you when to try, and when its time to let go. He also have pharmaceutical knowledge to make drugs without charging you for brand names. Hes a good old fashioned "farm" vet that remembers treating animals when you couldnt pack up the xray and drag it to the farm.

Dr. Weir and his staff are phenomenal! Dental cleanings are expensive no matter where you go, but his services are the most reasonably priced around. This was the first time my cat has gone in for a full dental cleaning, and all I could think of was everything that could possibly go wrong. Even with everything that was going on in my head, his staff was so patient and friendly while I tried to fill out the forms. They really showed their interest for providing the best care for my furkid, and even took the time to fully explain the bill when it was time to pay! I will be bringing my furry family members back to Pat Booker Animal Hospital in the future.

I love this place! Ive brought my cats, dog, and even a duck here. Dr. Weir is very knowledgeable and thorough with his explanations. He takes the time to answer all questions and I never feel rushed. The prices are fair and the quality of care is great. On our first visit we thought we were going to lose our cat. They were very patient with us when we were so upset and emotional. We received frequent updates. The cause of the illness remains a mystery, but they were able to save our kitty! They really seem to care about the animals.

I arrived just as this animal hospital was closing and the staff still offered to help out my dog when help was needed. It was not a emergency situation but the fact that they stopped what they were doing and helped out my dog in need. I am truly grateful and blessed by the staff for helping out. We will definitely return for annual services for our dogs.

This was my first visit to Pat Booker Animal Hospital. From the front staff to the Dr. I was very impressed with their compassion & understanding of my situation. The Dr. spent a lot of time with my cat & explaining to me the situation. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting compassionate care for their animal.

Dr. Weir is awesome! Knowledgeable and approachable. I needed an appointment right away and they got me in very quick! Great staff, clean place, minimal wait time, great prices! Usually got to another place in town and ended up here couldnt be happier!

Dr. Weir is great! He truly loves animals and people. Their prices are reasonable and their staff is kind and knowledgeable. They dont pressure one way or the other in terms of treatments and nutrition; they just provide guidance and support.

the doctor was so helpful and diagnosed my animal after many veterinarians could not do so . The staff was wonderful they got me in I had called probably 740a.m in the morning they got me in at 8 a.m..
