Took my dog to check for why she had diarrhea and was billed 530 to tell me that all these other issues that I didnt even bring her in for those and got billed for random treatments and the one thing towards the end that they failed to tell me was by the way we never got a stool sample was the reason I took her in to begin with but Im going to be billed $530 when they didnt even get a true diagnosis of the situation or with us or what was going on with my dog how on Earth is that possibly even okay and then they go and tell me that they are going off of what I had said my diagnosis and thats why they were treating her off of what I said instead of their professional experience and making sure thoroughly that that is the reason why she is having issues so I took her in to be seen by professional if I knew that they were going to go off of my daignosis I would have never taken her in and so at the end of the day there wasnt even given a reason or a true solution to why she had diarrhea because they never got a stool sample but they still build me $530 for things that didnt make no sense and the reason I brought her in was for them to check her stool sample which they never got but yet they feel okay to bill me $530 for random things that made no sense on why theyre even doing treatment on something day cant even truly connect with I dont understand if you dont have poop how are you going to make a blind diagnosis off of what I said this is the reason why you pay a vet to make sure they find out the true diagnosis of why your dog has diarrhea and none of it was done I was just told by the way you need to collect the poop cuz we never got it but here is your $530 bill for random stuff we decided to just bill you for

I did not have a pleasant experience with this place, and I will not be back. I would suggest any pet owner that has a problem to go someplace else with more experience. If you are going for a normal routine check up, it is probably fine. The staff was RUDE (not the receptionist or the Vet, mainly just the tech in the room), uncaring, acted like it was a bother for to be there dealing with my cat. The Vet admited she was new at this and didnt really have much experience..something that should have been told to me over the phone when I made the appt. The office smelled badly, which I know is common for a Vet, but have to say been to much cleaner facilities in my lifetime (but I should add, I have been to worse as well). The Vet was pleasant enough, if she knew more about my cats condition I might consider going back due to convenient hours and location, but not as long as she kept her tech or whatever she is there helping her. I do not wish to see that girl again. Maybe I just caught her on a bad day, I dont know, but due to the lack of caring and since I would be dealing with her every time I took my pet there, which due to her condition would be often, I will keep searching.

My husband and I have been with Friendship Pet Hospital since Aug 2011 because they truly care about your pet and treats them like one of their own. We have a special puppy who almost died at the age of 3 due to Autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA) and if it wasnt for the caring staff at Friendship our puppy would not be with us today!! Thanks to all their help and support she has recovered but she still has some health issues that flair up and the caring folks ALWAYS have time for us and especially for her!! She actually loves everyone there when we have to visit them, she acts like its her day at the spa with her friends. Between Joan and Lauren who spoil her rotten to Laurel and the others who just genuinely care our puppy thinks its AWESOME to go to the vet!! So you know that speaks volumes in itself!! Drs Stephens, Marbach and Briggs explain things in detail so you understand what is going on and they give you options so you always know what to expect. I would recommend them to anyone who wants their pet to be loved and cared for while undergoing their yearly exam or a serious incident. They are FABULOUS!!

Ive been taking my 2 dogs here since they opened in January 2012. I have had no problems and my dogs have received excellent care. Their weekday hours are good, and are open Saturday mornings as well. Their location is good, near the HEB on I-35 and FM 3009. The staff is very caring. When my dog Bosco had an anaphalaxis episode in the middle of the night in August 2012, I had to take him to the afterhours clinic in New Braunfels. Since this clinic closes at 7am, I brought him to Friendship Pet Clinic for further observation and treatment. They were very concerned for Boscos health and took excellent care of him, even feeding him some HEB rotisserie chicken to get him to eat! They followed up with telephone calls several days later to make sure Bosco was doing OK. All in all, I am glad my pets get their care here.

This facility is brand new and cutting edge. The vets/owners are up to date on all the latest research. They obviously LOVE what they do, and it shows in the amount and the quality of time they put into our visit. The staff was very kind and loving towards my dogs. They took blood samples from each of my dogs, ran the tests and had the results five minutes later. By the time we left the dogs were actually enjoying themselves and all the attention they were getting. At our old vet, I always felt like they were pushing extra tests and vaccinations (for example they wanted to give a three year shot every year.) The Vets at Gentle Care didnt try to over-treat or over charge and they gave useful and practical advice. They also offer a military discount!

I would highly recommend. They have convenient hours. As a previous reviewer had stated, I felt like my old vet was always pushing costly tests and I did not feel like this was the case with Gentle Care. Everyone on the staff was very friendly and caring. My Chihuahua had a stuffy nose and seemed to have trouble breathing. She received such loving attention and a very thorough exam. In my opinion, the final bill for the exam and meds was very reasonable. I told my husband when I got home that we have found our new family vet. I would recommend this facility to friends/family.

I usually dont write reviews but had to when I read all the negativity here. I have never once had a bad experience with this vet! In fact, one of my dogs is extremely timid and he warmed right up to all the techs and doctors. I dont feel like they try to push or upsell at all. They make the right recommendations but if I am not ready to buy, they dont pass judgement. The pricing is fair too! I only have two complaints: 1. I wish they had better hours. I work long days and it is hard to take off work to get the pups in, even on the weekends 2. I wish they took American Express!
