Unfortunately this was the only dentist listed in Lodi under my new insurance plan. If I had known how I would be treated by Dr. Hakimi, I would have went to Stockton instead. The office staff was very nice and friendly - I have absolutely no complaints there, in fact, judging by the staff, I thought that the visit would be fine. I was wrong. I was made to feel ashamed about my misaligned teeth, which was not the reason for the visit in the first place - it was to have a broken filling replaced. I understand that I dont have perfect teeth, but I dont expect a dentist to make me feel like a freak of nature. When I got upset by some comments about needing braces badly, and that if I were to ever get into any sort of accident, my teeth would shatter, I was told that I need to, "face the reality of the situation", and that she was here to tell me straight, with no account of my feelings, and that my previous dentist, who was very nice and never once made me feel ashamed was wrong in treating me this way. This would have to be one of the worst dentist experiences of my life. Oh, and not only did she not have any sort of inclination to apologize about anything, while I sat there crying, but she was definitely not gentle when she was working in my mouth. I would have forced myself to "grin and bear it" (excuse the expression), had she had a gentler touch, but it seems that not only does she not care about her patients feelings, but she doesnt care if she hurts your mouth in the process. I guess thats just her way of dealing with a patient "straight". What I wouldnt give to go to my previous dentist.

Worst experience ever with not much help from the staff. My insurence was not accepted there and the staff never called to inform me until I showed up this morning, mind you this appointment was made over a month ago. They simply stated they called her primary and they couldnt see her. How inconsiderate of my time! When I asked why was I never called about this she stated they called twice to my primary and thats all they do. In over 30 days youve managed to call twice and then gave up? Without even informing me? I had to pay out of pocket, want much but my patience was really tested. Then once the assistant went in for x rays she had to be helped because she had little knowledge on how to take them or even work the program! I would not recommend or even plan on going back!

Im giving Modern Dental a 2 star review mainly because of they have cancelled and rescheduled my appointment 3 times back to back to back. The first time they cancelled I had gotten out of work early and they didnt tell me my appointment was cancelled until I walked in. The second time I had gotten out of work early also, but they tell me as Im practically heading there. And they tell me the doctor wont be in during the time of my appointment. Now they tell me that another doctor thats scheduled to start this Thursday for my appointment will not be in. Im glad they didnt tell me last minute like the other two times. We will see if they finally take my latest appointment. Ive had other instances as well which is also why Im giving them a 2 star review.

I called February 3rd to make an appointment for my three children after reading all the fantastic reviews online. The soonest they could get them in was May 11. On May 8th I get a call saying the need to reschedule their appointments due to being understaffed. I was totally understanding because things happen, I assumed this was a rare occurrence. I made their next appointment for June 20th, rescheduling their summer trip to their Grandparents house until after their dental appointment. I just received a call canceling on us, again. Weve now been waiting more than 4 months! Its sad that I cannot even review the dental services because they cant seem to fit us in for a visit!

Best dentist Ive ever been to. Im driving to Lodi from Elk Grove because of the experience I had here. Very welcoming staff and an honest Dentist that truly has your best interest in mind. Ive been to dentists that make you feel insecure or guilty about your oral hygiene, but I experienced nothing but respect here and was actually complimented on my teeth and gums. I strongly recommend this dentist office.

My experience here was great. The staff were all very nice and attentive. I arrived to my appointment on time and they got started right away. As a new patient, I expected to spend hours there. Not the case at all. They were quick and efficient. I feel like my needs were adequately addressed and my time was valued. Added onto that was the friendliness of the staff. I definitely recommend this office.

Everyone was friendly and made it a point to ask questions to get to know me more. My appointments have all been on time and gone quickly, but didnt feel rushed. The whole office seems to run like a well oiled machine. :) Time and again this office impresses me with their professional but personal and friendly services!

Very clean, modern dentistry. Very friendly and competent staff. Dr. Deal is a wonderful dentist with a gentle touch. Her injections were painless and her work excellent. I was hesitant to switch to an HMO dental plan and new dentist however I am very pleased with my choice.

Great doctor working there. Dr. Lomen was very thorough and knowledgeable. Tephanie was very efficient and well-organized. I don’t remember other names, but all were very professional and friendly. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for dental office.
