Dr. Chan is the best dentist Ive been to in 20 years, and believe me, Ive been to many. When I moved up to LA, I tried out a few dentists near my neighborhood and work. But, none of them were as trust-worthy, gentle, and caring as Dr. Chan. Thats why I keep doing the commute back down to the OC to see him and his hygienist. Dr. Chans office is worth it!! First, the level of service is superb. Dr. Chan only sees one patient at a time, so youre not having to wait in the reception room or in the dental chair for a long time, reading the latest copy of some magazine; and, he makes sure that he gives you his full, undivided attention. Dr. Chan has really high standards and always takes his time to work on you. In the 6 years that Ive been with his office, I never felt that he rushed through anything or skimped on anything because he had to move on to the next patient. In fact, one time I was at the door about to leave, but I felt that my tooth wasnt feeling exactly level. Dr. Chan welcomed me back to the chair and adjusted it a bit more until it was perfect and I was satisfied. His entire staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. This includes the receptionist, assistant, hygienist, and Dr. Chan himself. All of my visits have been really pleasant because everyone is up-beat and they all know what theyre doing/talking about. The quality of work is beyond excellent. Ive never had a crown that needed to be re-done or a filling that came out, yet (knock on wood!) The color-matching of my crowns and fillings have been completely natural; you wouldnt even know its a crown or filling! The office uses the latest technology and equipment. X-rays are immediately visible on a huge tv screen in front of you, so you can see exactly whats going on. Also, they have this neat x-ray machine where you can see your entire jaw (and wisdom teeth, if you have any) and this other hand-held camera where you can see snapshots up-close of your teeth and gums. Its really helpful to see the images on such a big screen so that you can see why you would need certain work done or not. Lastly, Ive never had any billing issues. My insurance is run through and I only pay the expected out-of-pocket co-pay/deductible and nothing more. Even though I couldnt find a good dentist nearby my new home, its refreshing to know that Dr. Chans office is down in the good old HB and Ill definitely be continuing to go there for many years to come!

Dr. Chan continues to impress. I’ve always liked how he’s so on top of his continuing education; it makes me feel like I’m getting the most current procedures and techniques done on my teeth. You can tell that he cares about his work and strives to provide the latest technology and equipment for his patients. Recently, he used a LASER to fill my cavities and it was completely PAINLESS!! I didn’t even have to get numb with any shots. No needles were used whatsoever. The best part about it was that I could eat immediately afterwards and not have to wait for any numbness to wear off. It was as if I hadn’t gotten any dental work done at all. That’s how amazing it was! My husband went in to see Dr. Chan a few days later and got some laser work done, as well. He’s always biting his lip or cheek whenever he eats and it creates this bump, which unfortunately, takes forever to get better since he keeps re-biting that bump! Luckily, Dr. Chan was able to use his laser to flatten the bump. My husband said the procedure was completely painless, as well. Dr. Chan’s new laser technology is pretty awesome. It’s just one more reason we continue to go to his office. The friendly staff and competent hygienists are definitely a plus, too!

Before coming to Dr. Chan, my Mom has been to several dentists but she was never satisfied with neither the Dentists nor the staffs. So when she found Dr. Chan, she wish that she had found him earlier and she knows that she will be staying here for a long time. Dr. Chan and his staffs are really the best. They took really good care of my Mom and me very well. Especially Christine, his wife, always makes sure that we have all our questions answered before we leave the office, and reassures us that if we have any other questions, we are welcomed to call the office anytime. And so that is always the plus for us. Moreover, with the office fully equipped with the most latest advanced technology and Dr. Chan’s specialties, all the services we had had been pain-free, very comfortable, and extremely satisfied. Our family highly recommends Dr. Chan to everyone. And I am sure that everyone will leave with a bright and big smile on their face.

I love my dentist! When do you ever hear that? Not only are Dr. Chan and his staff super friendly, they are very knowledgeable, accommodating, and helpful. Ive had many dentists throughout my life, and by far these guys are the best! Besides my regular cleanings, Ive had minor and major work done, from fillings, root canals, and an implant done. All the work has been great, no problems, and as painless as they can make it. I will say he is the best at giving novocain shots. The office is great, with large monitors to watch videos, see your x-rays, and even headphones to listen to your favorite pandora station while they work. My last favorite thing is that Dr. Chan always takes time to catch up with you, he recently came out in the waiting area and asked about my upcoming wedding. Its those little things that make Dr Chan and his staff not just a really good dentist office, but a great office with great people.

Quality office. My family and I have been patients of Dr. Chan`s for many years. We were saddened to see that our long time doctor retired, however, soon learned that there was no better dentist we can think of to take over his office about six years ago. Dr. Chan and his staff truly cares for his patients, and provides excellent care. The staff always greets us with a warm and friendly smile. It also helps that Dr. Chan is very gentle, thorough, and takes his time with his patients. The office has the latest technologies and is always very clean. If you are looking for a quality office with a friendly, caring doctor and staff, look no further.

Dr. Chan and his staff are great at what they do. From getting a simple cleaning to having a few crowns put in, I have yet to have a bad experience at this dental office. Luckily, I am not an anxious patient but they have always tried to make me as comfortable as possible each time. I am especially fond of being able to watch television while sitting through any major procedure. My last experience went by like a breeze. I was so distracted with the tv that I forgot that Dr. Chan was working on my teeth for an hour. Dr. Chan is very thorough and is always open to listen to your concerns. Thanks to everyone from the front desk to the back office!
