Horrible experience! The office, staff, and dentist are all highly unprofessional. The initial paperwork was long, irrelevant, and intrusive. They close for a whole hour for lunch (from one to two pm) so I had to wait for my appointment in my car. The assistant took about twelve x-rays before he proceeded to just continue on with the appointment without discussing any of the results of the x-rays, after I had a full-blown anxiety attack. He then quoted me (only after I insisted on getting the price first before proceeding) with a price for top and bottom retainers ($385, not covered by my insurance by the way), even though I had already explained to him that I only wanted a price for the top retainer. Then the dentist came in and explained that as a standard, they had to take sixteen x-rays just to tell me if I had anything wrong with my teeth. Then I explained that I didnt want to go forward with the retainers or the rest of the x-rays and I only wanted a cleaning, and the doctor preceded to inform me that I needed an additional cleaning procedure which was not covered by my insurance (this time for $110), otherwise she would not do the cleaning at all. I said I needed to make a phone call because I could not pay for that on the spot, so I made a phone call and consulted my family, and then another assistant came back and shadily explained that she could take $50 off the price of the new procedure (some special gum treatment). I just left traumatized after getting my face unnecessarily radiated, nearly scammed out of potentially large amounts money, and without even getting a cleaning. This place is a complete and utter scam. The outside of this practice is dreary and dark, the paint is falling off the walls, and blinds cover the windows enshrouding the waiting room in darkness. The tiles on the floor are barely even grouted. The doctors hands were covered in latex powder and her apron was smeared with makeup. I normally do not write poor reviews, or even this descriptive of reviews, however in this particular case I felt the need to inform others accurately of my personal experience. This is a true and real account of my own personal experience, and it is to be viewed with a subjective nature.

I have been a patient at Huntington Beach Dentistry since 2001 when I moved from Arizona to California. The entire office is great and the experience from making the initial appointment through post-visit care is phenomenal. Like many, I hate visiting the dentist -- before Huntington Beach Dentistry, my experiences with other dentists usually werent very good. Many dentists are in a hurry, have backed-up waiting rooms, and dont dedicate the time necessary to establish an on-going relationship with their patients to create an individualized plan for dental care. Lina is the exception -- she and her team take the appropriate amount of time to know the patients, what their long-term dental care needs are (and will be), and to spend the right amount of time on each procedure to ensure that issues are addressed and preventative maintenance is performed to help keep my teeth in the best shape they can be. Over the years, I have moved between careers that did or didnt have dental insurance as part of the benefit package. At times when I had to be a "cash" patient Huntington Beach Dentistry worked with me to understand the costs for procedures "before" they were performed, weigh the cost of various treatments, and to make arrangements for payment that worked for both the dentist office and me. Its a refreshing change to work with an office that is up-front about the cost of procedures and willing to work with its patients to ensure that the right procedures are performed at the right cost so as not to break the bank. I cant say enough great things about this company -- as a young adult, I feel like I have grown up with this team and know that theyll be around for many more years of cleanings and the occasional treatment of a cavity. At times when I worked and/or lived out of state, I always made it a point to travel back to Huntington Beach for my 2x annual office visits for cleanings....I trust no one else to help me keep my teeth in the best shape possible. Thanks Huntington Beach Dentistry!

I had a horrible experience with Dr. Lina Musleh. After taking x-rays, she told me one of my molars with an existing crown had to be re-done. After numbing me, she drilled into the wrong tooth! She quickly apologized, told me it would be fine and that she would provide a free crown (on a perfectly good molar), then proceeded to drill into the correct tooth. After receiving the 2 crowns, I felt pain that wouldnt go away, and noticed both crowns didnt meet the gumline, and I came back twice because of the the pain. She told me they were both fine. I got a second opinion, and the second dentist actually called Lina Musleh to let her know the gaps between the crown and gums were too wide and bacteria was seeping inside. He called her with good intentions and was shocked at her reaction. He called her because he felt it was best to go back to Lina Musleh so I would not be charged again to re-do both crowns in his office. She refused! Well, to make a long story short, both molars now have unnecessary root canals, when these 2 teeth never hurt to begin with. Not only do I now have 2 root canals, but she also caused me to loose a molar because she drilled into the wrong molar to begin with. I have never been back since and was just disgusted by the treatment, lack of professionalism and refusal to correct the problem, after a second dentist confirmed the work was not done properly

Absolutely shameful and shady office. I initially came in due to a cracked tooth that needed a root canal and crown, before having any work done I requested a copy of the pricing for the exact procedure. At the bottom there was a misc charge with no service code attached to it. I questioned them and the staff got defensive immediately, I called my insurance company to verify the charges and they confirmed that the misc "Lab Fee" of $250 should not have been charged and that was included under service code 02750 for the crown. Once I explained that the insurance company had confirmed that the Lab Fee was included. I asked them to call the insurance company which they refused to do so stating the Lab Fee was a charge that every dentist would have on the quote. After seeing a second dentist, they assured me that I was correct and that Dr. Muslehs office was just trying to add misc charges much like a mechanic would to make my procedure more profitable. Do not trust the pricing they give you as they will take advantage of you when given the opportunity. Ill be filing a complaint with my insurance company and be checking if any other laws have been broken.

I dont usually write reviews but could not resist to express my level of satisfaction of Huntington Beach Dentistry. Dr Lina , Marco and the rest of the staff are beyond professional , from the minute I walk in, I feel so welcomed .Dr Lina is the best dentist I have ever had, she works with her heart and skills, very personable and kind, by allowing her patients to communicate with her about their individual needs and genuinely listens to them, and thats speaks for her level of commitment and excellence she offers.
