The remodel is great. The Laser Center staff is amazing (they share the office with Harvard Eye). The Harvard Eye doctors (mine included and from what I hear from other patients) are good. Most of their techs are good as well. The main problem is that the front office staff of Harvard Eye is absolutely terrible. The folks that sit up there have an attitude, tend to be clueless as to what is going on, who you are, how to bill you...etc. I only come to Harvard Eye because my doctor closed his practice and joined Harvard Eye and I swear by Dr. Levy - Hes one of my favorite people in this world and hes taken care of my eyes and my familys eyes for years. The support staff, however, is terrible. Furthermore, I work in a pharmacy that gets Harvard Eye prescriptions - this place is nearly impossible to get a hold of for refills and when you tell them youve been trying for over a month they get snappy with you (not to mention that the patient is already dissatisfied that theyve waited so long for their refill or new script). anyway, I dont know whats going on over there. The professionals are great but the non-professional staff needs a training in how to retain customers through positive attitudes and relationship building. Its so bad. If you havent come here yet, just dont.

After researching other doctors, I ended up at Harvard Eye by a referral from a friend. I can say my experience with this center was poor to maybe slightly fair. The doctors were knowledgeable but the office staff was very poor. The surgery center was good and the surgery itself went well… but they took no responsibility for the inadequate visual conditions post operation. I experienced broken blood vessels in my eye twice and floating black spots after the surgery. They never explained any of this could happen before the surgery. I had my other eye done several years earlier and never had a problem. They also never took responsibility and charged me for the visits. You will not see the doctor who performed the surgery ever again. The people in the eye glass center are out to make big money and their lack of staffing was a big issue as well. My suggestion is go to a small practice you can trust and get one on one treatment.

This is the day after my second cataract surgery at the San Clemente location, and everyone gets high marks for performance. Unlike other reviewers, I found the front office personnel entirely agreeable and on-the-ball. I am totally in admiration of the training and execution of my surgeon, Diana Kersten and the capabilities and direction of her assistant, Lisa Jones. My appointment yesterday was delayed by a couple of hours, but fortunately that in no way was an inconvenience (I always try to bring a good book or magazine to any doctors appointment). The OR staff, top-to-bottom was great: friendly, efficient, and seemingly prepared for anything. My vision is already greatly improved in both eyes and will continue to improve, Im sure. Highest recommendation.

This is the premier group of ophthalmalogists in Orange County. Highly trained experts who are personable physicians, I have been to the office many times over the years and am constantly impressed with the whole product. The office staff is friendly and professional. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and taken care of. The waiting room and examination rooms are pristine. The doctors are top-of-the-line specialists, most if not all Harvard-trained. I trust my vision and that of my family to this group. Dr Ohanesian and possibly others in the group travel to Armenia each year to perform eye surgery on those less fortunate, no charge. What a great role model for all of us!

This office books patients every 10 mins. This is why the wait to see your Dr. is over 2 hours. The office staff will tell you ,the Doctors are always behind.Well of course they are when you over book your appts.I guess the Doctors feel that our time is less important then theirs. My parents have need patients there for 25 years ,and now I know why going to their eye aptts. took half the day. Stop this over booking of patients ,and support doctor office who believe patients needs come first ,not how many patients they can get see in a day ,and make more money.

Sorry to hear not everyone had a good experience there. I had cataract surgery on both eyes, a month apart, crystal lens. I chose Harvard Eye because several years earlier my 87 year-old mother had the same surgery and it went perfectly. Dr. Ohanesian was the surgeon for both of us, and in every appointment, prior to and after the surgery, he took all the time necessary to explain everything to us. I would definitely recommend him. Both my mother and I ended up with 20/20 vision, and we wore glasses for everything prior to the surgeries.

Ive been visiting Harvard Eye Associates for over 5 years. They are very professional, take the time to discuss all options with patients, offer the latest technology and most of all, they help their patients see! Harvard Eye Associates invests in the future of medicine and its something Im thankful to be a part of! I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for an ophthalmologist for cataracts, glaucoma, LASIK, retina, etc. They offer everything under one roof!

Saw Duna Raoof, Opthamoloist...very distant & cold....gave me incorrect info.; said I wasnt a candidate for additional laser surgery because Id had it before...well...I didnt believe her and went to see the ophthalmologists who did the surgery and they said absolutely you could do correction using laser. My instinct were correct, Raoof was a cold fish & not worth going to see!

The surgical procedure on my eyes was handled with the most professionalism possible. The surgical coordinator, Lori, was excellent. All the surgical assistants were friendly, reassuring, and confident. Dr. Jacobs is the best. I have the utmost confidence in his ability and would highly recommend him and his staff for any eye surgeries.

TERRIBLE, WAITED FOR OVER TWO HOURS AND FINALLY HAD TO LEAVE. THEY OPERATE LIKE AN ASSMBLY LINE AND OVERBOOK. THERE WAS STILL THREE PEOPLE IN FRONT OF ME AFTER TWO HOURS. MY LAST VISIT WAS JUST AS BAD, THEY ORDER FIVE DIFFERENT GLASSES FOR ME OVER TWO MONTHS AND NONE OF THEM EVER WORKED. I HAD A PAIR IN ONE HOUR AT LENSCRAFTERS. NEVER AGAIN.

Wow one of the best experience i could ever imagine I took my father their on 10/25 waiting time was 15 mins. Doctors were so helpful, they called 3 doctors to get second diagnosis and even gave free samples. This was truely amazing experience. Kudos to extremely dedicated staff.
