Hello, I wanted to give a review of Dr. Benderev. I had been going back and forth on a vasectomy for about a year. I had lots of questions, how would I feel after the procedure? How would this affect me to perform in bed? Was this really the right choice to make? I talked with Dr. Benderev at his Mission Viejo office and we went over all the specifics of what could be expected. He was very straightforward and honest. I was recommended to see him by other physicians in the Orange County. Those physicians all had high admirations of his work, how fast the procedure was, and the recovery time was very quick. After talking to my fiancée, we both decided we were not going to have any more kids, we are in the process of blending her family and mine. We both have kids and decided together that we didn’t want to have anymore. My fiancée is on birth control but she has some side affects that come with the hormones in the birth control, mood swings, lack of sex drive… so for me to get her off of the birth control and get our relationship stronger and healthier was of great importance to me. I called Dr. Benderev office and scheduled my appointment to do the consultation and go over the preparation and what should be expected. On the day of the appointment for the procedure my nerves set in. There was a patient ahead of me and he started at 8:20am and walked out at 8:35am, I thought for sure he didn’t go through with it, but as he walked through the door he said easy and pain free, you’ll be fine. The next room was prepared and ready and I was called back. Dr. Benderev explained the process and what is to be anticipated. I lay on the table, my genital was prepped, He said you are going to hear a pop sound from the non scalpel device, the first pop of the local anesthetic startled me a little, but there was no pain, there was no uncomfortable feeling, there was no bleeding (in my case), I didn’t even break a sweat. After about 10 minutes I was done. It really took no time at all and there was no pain. I don’t know why more guys don’t get this done. I was able to walk out of the office and not feel any pain. I had my fiancée pick me up, went home rested on the couch, pillow under the knees, ice pack under me allowing the cool to radiate up. I was able to go to the restroom with no pain or discomfort. My stomach was a little sore from muscle tension. On day 2 the swelling had gone down, there was virtually no pain. The best part about this is my fiancée doesn’t have to be on birth control anymore, she will have her sex drive back and we wont have to worry about getting pregnant. Obviously we will still proceed with caution and follow the recommended 25 ejaculations to clear out any left over sperm and have the sperm count read after 8 weeks to make sure I’m no longer fertile. I would highly recommend this procedure to any guy looking for a fast procedure, small amount of recovery time and essentially no pain. Contacting Dr. Benderev is going to be the best decision you can make. Dr. Benderev was great! With a procedure like this that can be extremely stressful for us guys, he and his office made sure I was informed and had everything I needed to ensure everything went smoothly. The actual procedure was incredibly short and pretty painless. The technique he employees does not use a scalpel or stitches which was a big part of my anxiety about this deal! He uses a high pressure tool that creates one small hole (vs two CUTS often) while delivering the local anesthetic so the only feeling you get is an initial rubber band like flick. After that, it was quick, easy, and I was on my way. Even drove myself home. I experienced very little post surgery discomfort. When I did, it was because five painless days later, I momentarily forgot about my surgery and ran up a couple of stairs by accident. I called Dr. Benderev later that day directly on his cell phone and he advised me what to do and monitor. The unique part was, he was off getting married, and he STILL answered his phone and took tim to advise me. Everything was ok in the end and I am doing great. I cant recommend Dr. Benderev highly enough!

The whole idea of having a vasectomy is stressful to begin with. On top of that, many of us have had experiences of visiting a a physician who was not interested, lacked tact and in the end, we felt like we were on an assembly line. When youre having your procedure done, this is not what you want. Dr. Benderev treated me with dignity and skill. From consultation to procedure to post Op, there wasnt anything that was a surprise and he made it easy. Do yourself a favor- if you have small children like me, have your procedure in the morning then go stay at a hotel for a few days. I timed it so I could watch a lot of games and having room service was nice.

Dr. Benderev is exceptional. He explained the process and put me at ease during my consultation for my vasectomy. The procedure was pain free and took about 15-20 minutes. The recovery was great. I had no pain and had to remind myself to not lift heavy objects and such because I felt as though I could. I followed the recover directions given by Dr. Benderev. I would without a doubt recommend Dr. Benderev to anyone considering having a vasectomy. With the ease of this procedure I would strongly recommend couples to considered a vasectomy over tubal ligation. Lastly, go to Dr. Benderev to preform the procedure!

I had my vasectomy done last thursday 3/23/17 by Dr. BENDEREV and let me tell you guys that I can not be Happier !!!from the consultation to the procedure that took about 12 minutes, it was literally no pain at all, it actually made my laugh when he sprayed to numb me. I did my research and after reading about how it was done and how many procedures have been done by Dr. Benderev, I was SOLD, over 7000 procedures!! I Highly Recomend Dr.Benderev if you are thinking about having your Vasectomy done.AWESOME JOB!!!
