Broadway Pet Hospital is a wonderful, nurturing Medical Facility for all of your Four Legged Furry Friends. The entire staff is eager to assist you and your Pet and seem to be genuinely excited to see you (actually my doggy!) whenever I visit. Whether you arrive for a scheduled medical appointment or a pet emergency, the Staff is gracious and comforting knowing how important our Pets are to us. The Staff maintain impeccable computerized records and will enter services that might have been provided at another location--ie Mobile Pet Clinic Services. However, after great scrutiny, Ive come to believe that the price of services at the Broadway Pet Hospital are almost exactly the same as those charged by Clinics that dont have the high overhead Broadway Pet Hospital has. The only time there was a substantial difference was in the cost of their Neutering/Spaying fees which were considerably less at the SPCA. The Front Desk Staff is great and there are more than a half dozen Vets that are always at the Hospital. You can choose one Vet to return to on a regular basis if youve developed a relationship with them or feel free to go to any Vet available to your schedule knowing you will be well taken care of by all that work there. Rocky, my Darling 1-1/2 year old ShiTzu, and I Love Dr. Danny so I continue to make appointments when she is available. When I first got Rocky and brought him in for his first appointment at 3 months old, I told Dr Danny that the Breeder told me Rocky would be about 10 pounds when he was fully grown. "And you believed her?" Dr Danny asked me! "Rocky is only 3 months old and already weighs 6.3 pounds. Hes a Big Boy and is going to be at least 18-20 pounds when hes fully grown. " Well, Rocky is fully grown now and weighs 19 pounds exactly. Hows that for being right on the money?!!! Broadway Pet Hospital is all State of the Art and offers the latest services from Pet Dentistry to Flea and Tick Control Medication. The new modern facility is Cleaner than any other Ive ever been to and 100% odor free! They run a very clean machine! Notices are sent out to remind you when immunizations or other services are due, and while all appointments can be booked online, getting thru to the office by telephone is fast and easy. Spacious parking lot in front makes your visits easy breezy! I endorse Broadway Pet Hospital 100% and guarantee you will be more than happy with their quality of service.

A few years ago I was desperate to find good veterinary care for my 2 aging Tibetan Terriers - the loves of my life. I had become dissatisfied with their current vet and was fortunate enough to run into a fellow TT enthusiast who I met on the street when she was walking her TT. She was a pathologist and therefore someone with medical knowledge I felt I could trust. She enthusiastically recommended Broadway Pet Hospital and Dr. Gutlaizer and I am so grateful that she did. I cannot say enough good things about this facility. Dr. Gutlaizer is an incredible vet: he shares his thinking with you when diagnosing your pet; he is very warm and humane, allowing me to stay "in the back" in a small room with my TT Lillie when she was very ill. I was also able to take her home at night and then bring her back the next morning to be hooked up to the IVs (she pulled through!). The staff at BWay Pet has been there for years and is wonderful - to me a sign that a facility is well-run and values good people. When Dr. G. is not in there other vets I have seen have also been excellent. When it was time for Lillie to go to the Rainbow Bridge, Dr. G. came to my house for the final farewell injection and treated me with the upmost consideration at that terrible time. They have a very well-equipped hospital that can handle any surgery (at least the ones my pets have needed) and I have full confidence that my 2 dogs will get the best.

By far the best vet weve been to! We have two female dogs. A 3 year old collie mix and a 1 year old whippet pitt mix. Both dogs are very happy-go-lucky and generally healthy. When we adopted our newest one we went to Broadway for both dogs annual check up. They took the time to make sure the paperwork for both pets was completed correctly, and made it convenient by putting both dogs vaccination needs together so we only have one trip. Our vet took the time to answer my many questions and gave us great advice in creating harmony with the new dog and our older dog. Their online services are great, their pharmacy is easy to order and pick up from, the hours are convenient, and Ive always had someone answer the phone when I call, and call me back when they say they will! When our collie mix got a foxtail (burred plant) stuck up her nose, our dog walker was able to take her in immediately to be seen. They called me and explained all the options and prices and helped me make an informed decision. She was treated and I was able to pick up her up after work. The doctor left clear instructions and even left a note telling me how sweet my dog was :) I forgot to ask a question while in the office, so when I called on the drive home they remembered me and my dog and were able to answer my question. Their prices are very competitive compared to other places in Oakland and I feel that the care they provide to my dogs is great!

Took my bull terrier in for a hematoma in his ear. The doctor recommend we do a type of surgery that places a drain in the hematoma and then is removed 3 weeks later. I was a little weary about this procedure because 3 years prior my dog had the same issue in the other ear and another vet (In Georgia) went about treating it in a different way (by cutting an S shape incision, draining the fluid and suturing it up). That ear healed perfectly and sticks up just as before. So why wouldnt the vet perform the surgery the same way if we had such great results with the other ear. My gut feeling about this new procedure was dead on, the drain did absolutely nothing and the ear is still full of fluid and flopping over. Not to mention it wasnt a cheap procedure (which never concerned me, my dog is my life I would have paid an arm and leg especially if it worked). I called and made a check up appt and they basically said theres nothing they can do and his ear will most likely be floppy and full of congealed fluid for life (or until the body breaks it down). And still charged me for the visit! The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because the staff is very helpful and friendly. Needless to say we have an appt for a second opinion next week. Disappointed to say the least.

Love BPH. Have been going there for 16-18 years and receiving consistently stellar service. Had a calico for about 15 years who had to be put to sleep in 2010; then a tabby who was sweet 16 who was their patient until she went to cat heaven in July 2012. All of the vets are nice - think of knowing how to care for patients who are unable to tell you what is wrong with themselves. My kitten (almost 1) is now their patient; as is my ex-husbands 3 year old cat - he switched from another vet hospital to this one. Recently, we referred our mutual friends to BPH (they have two cats - Scottish fold) and they concurred that BPH has a nice waiting room with separate waiting areas for cats vs. dogs - very important if you have a sensitive pet; and very nice front office staff; vets and vet techs. The front office staff know my name, who my pets are (have been), and empathized with me when both cats who are no longer with us were going through their senior years and health challenges. They even sent sympathy cards when my cats passed and a number of staff signed it. So nice. I highly recommend Broadway Pet Hospital.
