East Bay Vet is wonderful! I took my puppy there for the requisite shots, neutering and for the unexpected: rashes, goopy eyes, second rabies shot and preparation for travel abroad. The front desk, technicians and Dr. Sandhu and Dr. Gill are all courteous, efficient and truly care for my dogs wellbeing. Best of all, the charges were affordable. Following the Drs diagnosis, I appreciated that East Bay would present me with a proposed bill outlining what the charges would be for the treatment/ procedure (i.e. Neuter, treatment for eyes...) this allowed me to assess whether I could afford the treatment and wouldnt be caught unaware when the final bill was presented. Presently, my husband and I are moving abroad and thanks to East Bay Vet, my puppy has commenced the required quarantine. I highly recommend East Bay Vet for all pet owners who want the best and affordable vet care for their pets.

This clinic is wonderful. They are competent, transparent, and have great follow up. I recently switched from one of the top ranked clinics on Yelp because this clinic is closer to my house. When I tried them out, I was pleasantly surprised about how great they are about communicating what they know and dont know about whats going on with my pet; they are also great at letting me know what my options are. And, if they need to do a relatively expensive procedure, they make sure that I know how much it will be and whether there are other options before going forward. They also usually call back after a few days of visiting to see how my dog is doing. All of these are things I wasnt getting at my old vet. I also like that staff is incredibly approachable and diverse.

East Bay Veterinary Clinic provided excellent care for our two cats and peace of mind for us while we lived in Oakland. Bring quarters for the parking meter and enjoy Lake Merritt while your pets enjoy expert attention. We never had any problems more serious than tapeworms, but for routine care they were always able to accommodate with an appointment within 5 to 7 days. The staff was friendly, competent, and fast. Unlike another vet in the Temescal area, they never pushed additional services or upsales, and clearly explained their very reasonable charges. When we moved they emailed the cats entire health record in .PDF format to assist in continuity of care. OJ and Littleface and I highly recommend East Bay Veterinary Clinic.

Dr. Gurjeet Gill and Dr. Amandeep Sandhu have cared for my little Chihuahua/Yorkie mis, Yoda, since age 8 weeks. They have been terrific in every way. Yoda had a soft tissue injury as a puppy and they not only cared for her expertly, but also showed her a level of love I had not anticipated. They have provided maintenance care -- vaccinations, teeth cleaning, etc -- all her nearly three year life with the kindness that adds a level of expertise to medical care that is difficult to quantify, but noticeable and sincerely appreciated. I not only would recommend them to friends, but also have already recommended them to friends whose dogs I know and love. Dianna Lyons

This spring we adopted a kitten from a local rescue organization who ended up being quite sick. Dr. Gill and Dr. Sandhu took amazing care of our new little, and went above and beyond allowing us to bring her in without an appointment for fluids, etc. when matters escalated. Dr. Gill even consulted with a veterinary specialist regarding our cat at no cost to us, and was always great about communicating options to us. Eventually, our cat got better and is doing great! We also have been bringing our other cat to East Bay Veterinary for the past year and a half and have always received great service, including phone calls to check up on our cat after his vaccinations.

You can tell the folks here really love animals. I found them to be patient, helpful and kind. They are also gifted healers. They took care of my tiny cat Roma after she was badly beaten up by a feral cat. She needed a sugical procedure and after the visit they called several times to make sure that Roma was doing okay. That surprised me. Its not often that I find such caring and thoughtfull customer service. I wish people hospitals were more like the East Bay Veterinary Clinic. Costs were transparent and reasonable (for the Bay Area) I appreciate that they are open on weekends.

I took in a stray cat about a year ago and shes been plagued with sinus infections. Also recently diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. Ive seen three different vets at this clinic and theyve all been great in helping me get my little ball of fluff healthy. The staff are super warm and welcoming. The vets run on time with appointments, Im usually in and out within an hour. They are great about calling with lab results and just checking in after visits. Prices seem fair. Im happy with the care my cat has received and will continue to come back.

I was pretty pleased with this place until today. I waited 3 hours for them to get xrays from a separate vet, and when they finally got them they decided to bring my cat in for a second round of xrays. I was instructed to leave and wait for them to call, and after half an hour I returned and they still hadnt started the xrays. I had to leave, honestly that amount of time in a foreign place is incredible stressful for a cat, and I was not pleased with the lack of information they were giving me. Ill be going elsewhere from now on

Just had the best visit with the staff! My dog was chronically ill with high sodium levels, after taking her to the emergency room and them telling me to put her down,( at a 24 hour emergency hospital that I will not name) I went to the East Bay Pet Clinic to be greeted with the friendliest,knowledgeable staff. My pups sodium levels dropped due to my families hard work and diligence feeding her fluids. But again, it was so nice to have a comforting experience when your pets life is on the line. Thank you!!

When we first moved to the East Bay, I was very cautious about where to take my two new 4-week old puppies. Coming here was the best possible choice. Everyone was incredibly friendly, the doctors were very informative. and handled our puppies with love and care. Really a gem of a spot to take your animals should you need to find a trustworthy spot in the lake merit area. One of the only places we really miss when we had to move back to LA in the last few months.

Love East Bay Vet Clinic. Went in for the first time a few weeks ago and my pup was very scared- hiding under the seat waiting for the vet. When the vet came in, I went to scoop my pup out from under the seat but she said not to worry about it and sat right down on the floor. She sat there with me until my pup came out to meet the vet. This meant so much to me and will probably result in my pup being less scared next time!

Very good vet. they took care of my cat Littles. The vets helped my cat without trying to nickel and dime you like bigger pet hospitals. littles eventually had to be put down because his kidneys were going out and had severe bladder issues. they were very helpful and compassionate. my cat didnt suffer and was treated with respect during and after the procedure. Will definitely be bringing my ew kitten here
