i took my puppy there for what i thought was an eye infection, the vet took a look at his eye, put some numbing drops in it and said it was a scratch and would be better in about 3 days. the woman at the counter said my bill was almost $80! soi asked if i can pay 1/2 there and 1/2 later but she started in on some speech about the economy and how everybody is in the same situation and they cant afford to not collect the debt so i just paid and left. a little over a week later, the eye was still goopy and had a blue hue to it, the puppy looked blind. so i called back and asked to bring him in again and she told me when to bring him in and i asked if i would be charged again, being that this is a follow up, and of course she said yes. i think that is wrong, being that i just handed away $80 to them last time, just to have to bring the puppy back and pay again. i asked if i could just get some eye drops for him and she said i would have to bring him in for another exam and for the eye stain drops (which are $25 per drop!!) i reminded her of how she lectured me about the economy during the last visit and i realize how they cant afford to see animals for free, but they already collected money from me for basically not doing anything for my puppy. and i cant afford to pay for several visits when this should have been taken care of during the 1st visit. she tried to tell me how they would never just charge people for nothing to try to get more money...yea right! i experienced that first hand and i will not be taking any of my dogs back there again. they are also very unprofessional, the vet actually opened his mouth right in front of me and put a few of the numbing eye drops onto his tounge during the visit to test the strength...do that on ur own time, that just looks weird

The review unfortunately misquoted the situation. First time client requests not to pay for services at time offered. Rechecks are normally not charged for office visit again but only additional services and medications provided.
