I hadnt been to a dentist in over a year. Dr. Zahid Ahmed of Oaktown Dental was recommended to me by an acquaintance. He is a very knowledgeable and kind dentist. He treated me well and the place had recently been remodeled and is also fully equipped with new technology which made the trip quicker and more comfortable. He answered all of my questions about my teeth and dental hygiene in general. Hes a good conversationalist and was able to resolve issues that previous dentists had not taken care of to my satisfaction. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist or for someone who isnt absolutely satisfied with their current dentist. The only thing I would caution others about is to make sure you call and get an appointment before you show up as he is not in that location every day and you dont want to attempt to walk in if no one is on site yet.

Ive never felt compelled to write a review for a medical professional before, but when I left Oaktown Dental and realized I had actually *enjoyed myself* at my dental visit, I knew I had to. Zahid has a lovely bedside manner. He is warm and authentic, explains everything in lay terms, and checks in with you frequently to see if you have questions and make sure youre comfortable. He gave me practical, doable advice for taking care of my teeth (and didnt shame me in areas where I could be doing better). I never felt rushed, but he was very efficient and conducted my x-rays, exam, and cleaning all himself. I also appreciate that he took only the most essential x-rays, choosing not to subject me to unnecessary radiation even though he probably could have billed my insurance for additional imaging to make a buck. He earned my trust and future business immediately. What a gem.

I was visiting a friend from out of state when I tripped and severely chipped two of my front teeth. Luckily for me, Dr. Ahmed was open and willing to see me the next day, which happened to be a Sunday. He was very understanding of my lack of dental insurance, and did not pressure me into anything extreme and expensive as were the other offices that I contacted. I was fixed up to look like I had before the fall and without any pain. Dr. Ahmed also informed me that I needed a tooth implant and gave me much information on the subject in order for me to find the right doctor in my area and for the best results. He was also willing to review all plans that prospective doctors lay out for me, as he is a specialist in implant dentistry. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Ahmed for any type of dentistry, whether it be a simple cleaning or smile altering surgery.

I will definitely be returning to Dr. Ahmed. My appointment was scheduled quickly and courteously. He has a very calm personality and takes the time to fully explain everything, which is something I found to be incredibly helpful. He had a great sense of humor and it was obvious from the get-go that he knew exactly what he was doing. Lastly, I appreciated on his intake form that he asked what level of anxiety you have about dentists and he adjusted his approach based on how anxious you are about this work. Ill definitely be recommending him to friends.

Dr. Ahmed is awesome!!! Simply put, my experience at Oaktown Dental was the best trip to a dentist Ive ever had. I had three fillings done in a lengthy procedure. Before we began, Dr. Ahmed made sure I fully understood the treatment, my options, and what I would pay. He was extremely informative and thoroughly explained my dental health and the nuances of my insurance plan. His calming and reassuring demeanor made the whole trip more pleasant. The procedure was painless and quick (considering the number of fillings). I cant recommend him highly enough!

Im 13 years old ... Ive never had any Dental work done . My first experience was getting numb , and an extraction.. Dr Ahmed took awesome care of me, I didnt feel the " shot " , hes my " painless " dentist with a great personality and is very sincere in patients care.... My mom and I traveled from the South Bay , just to see him . We wouldnt have it any other way !!! Looking forward to going again!! Thank you Dr . Ahmed for taking such great care of me ... Wow! What a great experience. A molar chipped and I needed a repair. After calling multiple offices and getting outrageous quotes, I found Oaktown Dental. Not only was it the best quote, once I came in I was thrilled to hear it could be repaired for much less than I would have expected. Excellent customer service and a nice little office. Great service, very professional. Dr. Ahmed was great to work with, put me at ease and even worked with me to thoroughly discuss my treatment plan. He only does what is actually necessary and is very ethical (hard to find nowadays!) in his recommendations for treatment. I really enjoyed my experience and definitely am going back for all of my dental needs!

Best dentist experience that Ive had in a long time. He loves to explain to you everything that he is doing. He also makes sure that you feel comfortable with your own dental hygiene; he wont shame you about not flossing every day but instead praises you for what you actually DO accomplish and encourages you to improve your regimen just a little at a time.

Dr. Ahmed was incredibly friendly and helpful. I came in with a small crack in my tooth and he laid out all my options and gave me time to think about it. Ultimately, he ended up smoothing the crack for free and he said if I changed my mind and wanted a binding in a few days, he would do this for free also. Very trans/queer friendly office.

Please dont let the 4/5 Star rating stop you from picking this practice: I reserve the fifth star for when I have to have a dental procedure done where they can just wave a wand over your teeth and all your dental problems go away...
