I wouldnt say they are bad as people or practitioners but very and I mean VERY POORLY MANAGED! My overall experience is not a pleasant one. Staff: friendly as you would expect however they are not very good at clearfiying the financial details, you have to ask and confirm, my advice is read the paper they provide before doing anything. Punctuality: OMG... if you have a movie queued up for this week then this is your chance to see it, whether you came 30 min early or on time YOU WILL ALWAYS WAIT 2 EXTRA HOURS! 1 hour to be seated inside and another for someone to examine you, and Im not exaggerating (2 hours means 2 hours). Facility: the waiting room is not bad but not enough leg room if someone wanted to pass through, on the inside everything is open to everything, the place is not as clean as it should be; Witnessed on several occasions, the AC is on high so it gets a bit cold inside, I recommend wearing something heavier than usual. Service: overall the quality is good, some of the nurses look lost or confused but nothing major maybe a couple of extra x-ray pictures thats all, the orthodontist are very experienced, they explain everything in a professional manner however; not to sound sexist but the male orthodontist tend to rush their work compared to females so I always prefer to been seen by a female orthodontist. My recommendation: I would avoid it unless you have a movie you have been meaning to watch and can spare the EXTRA 2 hours. P.s: nickelodeon is always on the tele! And dont forget to bring a sweater.

This is a place where the dentists let their staff play games with you. The dentists are therefore by definition bad doctors. There is "identity fraud" of some kind going on with the paper chase, and they might lie to you about it as they lied to me. Blue Shield listed them as a participating dentist and said they would send them a fax. The fax apparently got through but this did not matter. There was a "telephone tag" I knew about, but when I tried to return the call to this office I got routed to their main office, which kept me hanging. When I called this office back they never returned the call. When I got there in time for the appointment the staff guy said he had called and left me a message, but that turned out to be a lie. I have checked all my phones and there are no messages from them. Then at 5:32 pm I got an email from them saying I had missed the appointment for which I was standing right in front of them to speak with them at just before 2:30. This office now claims they are not covered by Blue Shield, and they dont feel it is necessary to explain why Blue Shield puts their name on their list. Be careful with this place they are playing some kind of paper chase.

DANGEROUS, HORRIBLE, TROUBLE, That’s a name you SHOULD run away. 1- I lost the tooth that they filed, after just 10 month. 2-They sent me another bill after 1.5 year on top of what I paid at that time. New bill is 60% of the first one, they says that was just estimate, and this is the balance, first new bill came with $25 late fee also, ... 3- Since about A month ago, almost every day, several times, I tried to contact them through the Tel No. they provided in the payment statement, SO FAR THERE WAS NO ANSWER AT ALL. I know its hard to believe, but its true. In all my life I’ve never been bite as this bad. I paid over $400 and late fee too on top of the original bill and I couldn’t talk to anyone to clarify something about that. JUST RUN AWAY OF THIS SUPER DANGEROUS TRAP.

I would not recommend this place to my worse enemy. Service is mediocre at best and you have to wait forever to be seen. They sent me to collections after providing insurance information. I have contacted the main Western Dental. They confirmed they have the insurance information and still they sent me to collections. I have been fighting with them for over a year. Corporate told me I had to resolve it with the San Mateo office. Seems there is never a manager when I go. Avoid this place like the plague!

Dont go to this western dental)! Horrible customer service. I got care credit and the charged thing that should have not been charged. I have been trying to get them to fix this for the past 3 months. The ")manager" Joanna is the worse. I have been calling leaving messages for her to call me. She never is available land never returns my calls. Im finally had enough that I had to come down her to try to talk to Her! Discount on dental services yeah right.

am on Medi-cal n Denti-cal which dis place accepts. day try their best to accommodate me. day r friendly n welcoming with heart. der prices r quite reasonable n day r happy to accommodate my povered budget. der quality and fine workmanship are excellent n to me time does not matter. I have already referred 5 people n more to come. 4 me day would b d first n last choice for my dental care needs. Thank u Western Dental my new caring family.

seriously the worst place ever! The waiting is more than 2 hours. i get to the place at 4pm for my appt at 4:30pm and get called in 1 hour later yet i wait more than a hour just to be helped. The waiting is too much, especially if we have kids, or have something else to do! Not coming back here. And you people shouldnt either, find another place that is less waiting and good service!!!

BEWARE!! EVERYTHING THAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT THIS PLACE IS TRUE!! They told me specifically that I would pay 1275.00, and even CIRCLED IT! Decided to read the paper before heading to bed and it states I OWE 3,066.00 WITHOUT a dental plan. So if you dont have insurance ( which I am on Medical ) you are screwed! READ THE FINE PRINT! ! This is going on YELP ALSO WESTERN DENTAL!!

I need upper and lower dentures , when denti Cal gave me western dental I said my husband had a few bad experiences with the one in Santa clara before he passed away but I was willing to give it a try. The denti Cal person said Google first to see what the reviews say. Well I wont be going there!

The best place ever. Everyone is so friendly that we always warmly welcomed. Amber is a top-notch sweetness and the girls at the reception are amazing. Would not go anywhere else. Keep it up guys. Regards to everyone there.

If I could give it zero stars, I would. This facility is: crowded, slow, dingy, under-staffed, rushed, and seems to push unnecessary services. I will not go back.
