My husband and I both had terrible experiences with Dr. Parravi. Lured in by the good reviews here, we booked check-ups. She and her staff talked down to us, talked smack about other patients to each other during our cleanings, and made us watch a boring video about flossing (sure, flossing is important, but just *instruct* us kindly, dont lecture!). She also recommended things that we didnt need, that turned out to be expensive. First, she cajoled me into buying a *second* bite guard ("just in case something happens to the first") with the promise that insurance would cover it. Well, it didnt, so that was $350 out of pocket that I didnt expect. Then she cajoled me into filling a bunch of very small cavities left over from my time with braces that my previous dentist had recommended just "keeping an eye on" until they got bigger. One of them was positioned such that I ended up needing a half crown for it! Worst of all, the half crown she made for me - remember, for that *tiny* cavity that my previous dentist said wasnt a problem at all yet - she mounted *crooked*! It sat higher than it should and had an air bubble between it and the tooth. I could feel that it sat higher than it should, but she just sanded it down a bit and said "youll get used to it." My bite still felt really weird because of it, though. It was also really sensitive to temperature and ached when I did scuba dives. I sure didnt want to go back to her again after my experience there, so I found a great dentist in Palo Alto, who showed me the bubble on the X-ray. He ended up having to re-do the half-crown when the tooth corroded away from the crown, exposing the air bubble. Because it had been less than 5 years since it had been done (BADLY) by Dr. Parravi, insurance wouldnt cover it so I had to pay another $900 for Dr. Parravis shoddy work. I wouldnt recommend this dentist to my enemies.

Dr. Negar Parravi and her friendly staff are both very professional and great to deal with! My first visit to her dental office was only about a year ago and each time (have been to her office about 4 times now), I was greeted courteously and treated professionally by her staff. They are always very informative and explain each step of the procedures (for me this has been mostly cleanings, fillings, and one crown replacement) that were being proposed. Dr. Parravi is very gentle, meticulous, and engaging. She goes all the way to make sure that you feel comfortable throughout your entire visit. Several times, I asked to take a few breaks since my jaw was a bit in pain, and she did not seem to be bothered at all. Always making sure my needs were met. Smiling while asking the necessary questions to get a better understanding of my dental history and how to meet my needs and suggest the best options for me. She made sure that I experienced as little pain as possible and was not rushed while working on my teeth. I am not difficult to please, however I do appreciate great customer service, professionalism, and delivering exceptional results. I felt all of my expectations were met. I would also like to add that I have gotten the BEST cleaning ever here! I just recently made the switch to Dr. Parravi and have nothing but positive things to say about her and her staff. My previous dentist was pretty good and set a high bar which Dr. Parravi exceeded.. I just needed someone closer to home, and thanks to Yelp! decided to give this one a try. No regrets, only great things to say! Thank you Dr. Parravi (!!)

Both my wife and I had to have work done recently and were referred to Dr. Parravis office by a friend. She is hands down our favorite dentist for several important reasons: friendly staff, extremely punctual, reasonable/fair pricing, and great work. Combined we have been to this dental office a total of three times - & never been disappointed. Just thought we would share in appreciation. Truly a pleasant and painless experience, especially considering it is a dentist!!

Efficient, friendly, & gentle. This practice is well run. From check-in, to X-rays, to treatment plan.. It always seems like everyone enjoys what they do. This is by far one of the best and most enjoyable experiences Ive had. Dr. Parravi is pretty good at telling you whats going on with your teeth and has been very professional on every one of my appointments. I highly recommend this place to anyone even if they have to drive a little extra.

I decided to visit Dr. Parravi when I realized I was not fully happy with my current dentist and needed a second opinion on a possible crown that had been recommended to me as the most viable procedure. I got a better rate with Dr. Parravi alongside though explanations & excellent professional treatment. My insurance covered most of the procedure, and since Ive only returned once for dental cleaning. Highly recommended!!!!
