I went to Dr. steady to have rectal bleeding and anal pain diagnosed in January 2012. He performed a colonoscopy and pronounced no problem. I continued to have and complain of rectal bleeding and pain over the course of several months. At no time did he perform a digital or endoscopic check of the area. In August of 2012, I visited him again and insisted on an anal exam. Under duress, he acquiessed and performed an endoscopic check and biopsy. I was diagnosed with stage 3 anal cancer. Word to the wise, a colonoscopy in no way is an indication of anything going on in your anal canal. The cells are different, the symptoms are different. Dr. Steady has not even sent the copy of my colonoscopy to any of my physician group (including oncologists). Not a fan!

Dr. Steady has performed a few endoscopies for me. He kept me informed through the whole process and his anesthesiologist team are first rate. Nurses too!
