Pros: Great customer service, easy eye exam, variety of glasses, hip atmosphere, extremely friendly to military! Cons: Absolutely none. I am in the military stationed in Germany and was back home for a wedding. I visited SPECS Vision Care with my wife on a Saturday afternoon at around 1pm in need of glasses. I was greeted by Edward who immediately showed me a great deal of hospitality. I was introduced to Dr. Duong and she was able to give my wife and I an eye exam as we did not have our prescriptions. She was extremely friendly and accommodating. More importantly, she was able to do the eye puff thing in one try! Normally it takes the military optometry tech multiple times (very frustrating), but she was a pro! After the exam was complete, Edward proceeded to show me a variety of glasses. He educated me on all the different types of glasses and lenses. He was not pushy at all and answered my dumb questions. He introduced me to transition lenses. It tints the lenses when exposed to UV light. It was exactly what I needed when I didnt want to wear contacts. I finally chose a pair of black Banana Republic glasses that had a slick silver design above the ear. It was a huge upgrade from the BCGs (Birth Control Glasses) that I was issued from the military. My wife also bought a pair of Ray Bans that had a black and dark brown leopard pattern. The best part of my visit was that she was extremely appreciative that I was in the military. She didnt have to, nor did I ask, but she gave me an awesome deal for the glasses that my wife and I bought. I left SPECS much happier than I came in the store! On a side note, I also really enjoyed the chill music that was playing in the background. It really enhanced the experience while I was there. Overall, I definitely recommend SPECS Vision Care to everyone. Dr. Duong and Edward are an awesome team and are the friendliest people I have ever met!

As a physician, I am aware of the ups and downs of a busy practice. Dr. J. Doung is outstanding. I told her about my vision problems, and how important it is for me during my cranial and spinal surgeries to have a perfect vision for many hours. Dr. Doung went out of her way, with many different tests to obtain an optimal vision prescription for me. She truly cares about one’s vision and as well as qualify of her work. She has a lot of patience, which is a rare quality to find among private practitioners these days. The exam rooms are very nice, clean and comfortable. She does not try to just sell you products. I truly believe that given her skill set and genuine care about her patients, she will be one of most successful optometrist in this area.

Just bad. The optometrist rushes through the exam which does not allow enough time to focus on which of the lenses she is trying is better and then gets annoyed when you ask her to show you the lenses again. After the exam she gave me contact lens samples that she claim were the best for dry eyes but in reality they were horrible my eyes had never hurt so much, they were extremely dry and it felt like the lens was cutting my eyes every time I blinked. After a few hours I just had to take them off, Its been a week since the exam and my eyes still hurt. When I went in for the follow up appointment, my appointment was not honored after half an hour of waiting I decided to leave.

Excellent office - clean, modern, well equiped even nicely designed. They also have a great assortment of glasses. Ive been wearing glasses for about 20 years. This place is state of the art - they used some tests Ive never seen before. Great manners and customer service. I had to comment after the negative experiences Ive had elsewhere, I want to commend this office for the experience I had. They go over and beyond. I worked with Dr. Duong and Hugo and they were so pleasant to talk to, informative, patient and thorough. Great service need to be recognized. They even went out of their way to thoroughly address a negative rating and try to resolve the complaints.

Easy to find, great location near great places to eat. Beautiful inside and clean. 5 star customer service, we were seen on time and greeted with friendly smiles. Doctor is knowledgeable and very helpful. Edward aka Jack Sparrow ( could be his twin) helped to find the perfect fit glasses and perscription sunglasses for my hubby. He explained the options thoroughly and worked within our budget. Hubby and I both walked out feeling great about our experience with this great group of professionals. Looking forward to our return to pick up our glasses order. I will refer all my friends to SPECS.
