I had read all the reviews of Dr. Pelle the night before my first appt. I was terrified as some were extremely bad...I almost cancelled my appt. Howver hubby said, "make your own judgment". Dr. Pelle was recommended by a friend who swore by her so I decided to give her a try. I have some serious adult acne issues as well as some other skin conditions which seemed resistant to any treatment. I have gone to many other Dermatologist who could treat my conditions but not permanently. From the first appt. Dr. Pelle was very professional, she is not a woman of iddle talk who wastes your time, or hers. She gets to the core of your problem, she is very knowledgeable. I think she appreciated the fact that I had written down all the medications and treatments I had tried in the past and had not worked...She was able quickly suggest a course of treatment that was new. After 4 appts. in the course of a year (and two changes in treatment due to the resistance of my acne to medications) she was able to get rid of my acne completely (I am still doing the treatment but I no longer need to see her except if it re-occurs). I also got my dermatitis under control. If you need a pal, buddy or to feel warm a fuzzy with your doctor then she is not for you. If you want an extremely competent, knowledgeable, professional and effective Dr. Pelle is the one.

Having recently moved to SD from the D.C. area, I needed a dermatologist for an annual visit. Id noted that Dr. Pelle was highly recommended and therefore decided to see her. She was excellent -- very thorough, spending enough time with me (something my derm in D.C. did not do), explaining everything very clearly and making several helpful preventative medicine suggestions (again, something my derm in D.C. didnt do). I recommend Dr. Pelle wholeheartedly.

Dr. Pelle called me at 7:50 on a Friday evening because she had been thinking about me and I have already been sent to a different doctor by my insurance. My condition of lichen planus is somewhat rare and difficult to treat. At every dead end she keeps trying to treat it and she keeps tabs on new treatments. She is the first specialist I have found for any problem who is in it for the right reasons.

Dr.Pelle is an excellent dermatologist and seems to stay up to date on research relating to many skin issues. She evaluates treatment options based on a variety of factors and helped me make choices for treatment that were based on a thorough understanding of my medical history. I really appreciate her approach and her staffs professionalism.

Dr Woodhall is a first class human. In the initial consult she was so kind and smart. She treated me just as nicely as her high end clients. Parking is tough... in the structure is $3 hour and they dont validate unless its a 2 hr visit.
