I was a patient with Dr. Travis James and was taking Accutane for almost 3 months. I ended up with a side effect that immobilized me. I could not walk. I called the office and requested to speak to a nurse and the receptionist told me one would call back. I called back after not getting a call back and told the nurse that I believe it is the medication. She retracted with a," Its not the Accutane, it must be something else because that would never happen." So here I am thinking it MUST be something else as I believed the nurse. Mind you I could barely walk. I went to my primary Dr. that day, had an X-ray, and the X-ray showed nothing. My Primary Dr. said to stop taking the medication immediately as I was having a side effect from it. I called Advanced Dermatology and told them and they said that they would tell Dr. Travis James and have him call me. I was bed ridden for 4 days before I started feeling better. I never received a call from this office, not from anyone. The pain was so excruciating I am surprised that the Dr. I was under the care for, did not care to call me back as HE was the one that prescribed the medication for me. When they called for my next months appointment , I told them that I would not be utilizing this office for my Dermatology needs and the receptionist asked why and I told her my experience. She was apologetic and said that my Dr. will receive this information. as well as a supervisor and someone will call me... No one has. SO choose another establishment for your Dermatology needs. One that cares for their patiences.

RIP OFF! Dont ever use this place they will rip you off. I went to see them for a routine check up and isnt it amazing they found a little spot on my eyelid that they said didnt look right. I told them that it had been there all of my life and I had another doctor tell me that it was nothing. Even after my assurance that it had been there all of my life they insisted on doing a biopsy just to make sure. I asked if my insurance would cover this and they said "no problem it will be covered". There is no doubt they did this for the money. When the pathology report came back I even had to call a week later to get the results. Everything was normal imagine that. That wasnt the end of it I got a bill for over $600 that my insurance wouldnt cover. When I called them to discuss the charge that I was assured would be covered. There response was there was "no way that they would know without someone from there office calling my insurance company" I asked them you mean someone would have had to actually do there job? They insisted that I should be the one that should know if my insurance would cover it. I feel that was misled and I was forced into having a procedure that I didnt need and I was lied to. I will never go there again and I will do my very best to tell everyone I know to go eleswhere.

Dr. Travis James is the best dermatologist I have ever seen. Pregnancy made me develop very stubborn melasma. After seeing several dermatologists and failing their suggested treatments I felt discouraged and thought I would just have to live with it. During my first visit with Dr. James I could tell he was very educated and experienced. He offered me multiple options (some things my other doctors hadnt even heard of) with his treatment suggestions, my melasma is better than it has ever been and has almost disappeared. He is very personable and professional. I never feel like he is rushing with me. However, dont bring a book to read because he is always on time and I never have to wait. You can tell he respects his patients time and does his best to stay on schedule. Im grateful for his knowledge in treating my melasma and Im also not going to complain about how great I look with my botox. He worked magic on my lips and eyes which is something I didnt even know you could use botox for.

I would like to say first that I am a patient of Dr. Ward-Hestdalen who is with Advanced Dermatology Skin and Surgery Center. The overall treatment that I have received has been nothing but Excellent. I have found Dr. Ward-Hestdalen and staff to be very Compassionate, Caring and Extremely Knowledgeable. The treatment that I received on July 30th, 2015 was the last of six (6) sessions for hair removal from my entire back. The six (6) sessions extended over a period of approximately 1 ½ years. All of my hair removal sessions were performed by Mikaela (Master Medical Aesthetician). Mikaela explained each procedure in wonderful detail and what the outcome would be. Also, during each procedure, Mikaela made me feel comfortable and relaxed. The procedure worked just as Mikaela had explained it would and I am very happy with the outcome.

I am so impressed with the care and expertise of Dr. Travis James; he is a kind, caring, and knowledgeable dermatologist. I saw him for my first-ever Botox treatment. Initially I was apprehensive about getting the procedure, but Dr. James made me feel comfortable and relaxed, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. He applied the treatment perfectly, giving me a very natural and rejuvenated look. I recently became a grandmother for the first time ... but being a grandmother doesn’t mean you have to look like one, thanks to Dr. Travis James! I am very excited to continue future treatments with him. I highly recommend Dr. James!

I went in to get something I was quite worried about checked. The facility seemed nice. Thats the good part. When I was brought back, the medical tech took a picture of me. Im not really into that. When the doctor finally came in, he brought in a trainee... he didnt ask me if it was ok if that person came in. The doctor looked at what I wanted checked for literally 5 seconds. He didnt ask any questions and didnt really seem like he cared about what my concerns were. Im really not impressed. I was really hoping for some professionalism and a good "bedside manner."

The dermatologist did not listen to me when I went in for an appointment. He wanted to put me on Accutane event though I told him I was on it before and it did not work. Despite this I still took his advice and went back on it for six months, and what do you know the exact same results as the first time. Thanks for wasting six months of my life with the horrible side effects and no results. So I went to Dermatology Specialists on S. McClellan and my acne cleared about immediately.

Jeanne Ellern, PA-C did a new type of laser treatment on my lip and the side of my face. I was so impressed with her professionalism and ability to put me at ease. I felt like she really cared how it turned out and that she was giving a treatment to a friend rather than a patient. Dr Sukat is my regular doctor that I see. He also has the friendly concern for my care. I am so impressed with Advanced Dermatology and frequently recommend that practice to my friends and associat
