I went in for a cleaning a few months ago and they refused citing that my insurance requires that my cleanings are six months apart...but this information wasnt given to me until I was in the chair and had waited almost 30 minutes. I got up and left. My plan was to never return...however after a few more months I received an email notifying me that they were open on the Saturday prior to Independence day and had plenty of appointments available plus they were offering free gifts for clients that weekend. So I called my insurance company (Aetna) and asked them specifically about the six month requirement. I was told that no such thing existed, I was permitted two cleanings per calendar year but it didnt matter when I redeemed them. So I booked an appointment through their toll-free number and asked the agent to confirm that this would not be an issue. I was told all was okay. So again I appeared on time and after waiting roughly 15 minutes I was told the same story about the six month requirement and that I had to wait one more week before six months had elapsed since my last cleaning. I explained that I had already cleared this with my insurance and they said it didnt matter. No dice. Plus they refused to validate my parking or offer me the free gift. Once I left I called the toll-free number that I had used to book my appointment and explained my situation. The agent put me on hold and called the location directly to clear this up. She returned, apologized, and basically said that the franchisee can set up their own rules on this kind of thing. Well whatever, one thing is certain, this time I will keep my promise...to never return.

WORST PLACE EVER!!!! My first time 2 years ago I had to get 4fillings and Dr told me it would only be sensitive for a few weeks and it was more like a few years and yesterday I had a broken tooth pulled and first I told the Dr I wont be able to save it just pull it because my insurance doesnt cover it , he said I was told wrong . So I was super excited . Until I was told by a different Dr your insurance doesnt cover. So I asked whats my options, she listed. The first one was root canal,$2,000 , root canal without cap ,$900 and last but not least kept saying bone graft $400 she kept repeating this one and failed to mention until I was about to leave crying in pain ,..that I can get it removed without any other treatments Then the third Dr was extremely rude she gave me two shots and waited ...then told me ...all youll feel is pressure ( as she poked me tongue with a tool ) I had to repeat several time no it still hurts . She gave me a third shot and didnt even bother waiting for it to kick in and started working in my mouth...and she took a big tug on my tooth and I was moaning in pain , she stopped an threatened if I didnt stop moving she is forced to reschedule (mind you she has already started and pulled on my tooth ) she kept telling me it doesnt hurt but I was clearly in pain f*** this place

I couldnt be more frustrated!! My insurance company had transferred me to western dental to make my appointment. I got a call the day before the appointment (a week after making it) and was told that I need my insurance card for the appointment. I told them I have not received it yet. She said that is fine and to bring another form of proof of insurance. I went into the office showed them my proof of insurance which included a letter saying what provider I had and the date that it started and my social security card. I then had to wait an hour to be seen. Which I would not be complaining about if I did not watch 3 other people check and and be called in before me. After x-rays I was told that all of my treatment could be taken care of that day. The assistant walked out came back and said I couldnt have anything done because I did not have my insurance card. What a complete waste of time. I asked the woman at the front desk where I can make a complaint and she gives me a magnet with the customer service number where I am transferred from department to department. A complete waste of my time. Western dental has no respect for patients time. That was my first and last visit with them.
