On recommendation of a friend, I took my new kitten to Nob Hill Cat Hospital. When I arrived, the waiting area was not clean and the staff was inattentive. The exam rooms are large but not cleaned or sanitized after or before your visit and any exam is not done in the room. Your cat is taken to the back to be evaluated by the staff. This is disconcerting to me as to their methods. If the rooms are large enough why HIDE the standard treatment they give your cat? My kitten got a flea from another cat in the office which jumped onto its fur and the vet assumed that he had fleas. Fleas burrow INTO the fur, they dont sit on top of the fur. On another visit, because my cat was coughing occasionally, the vet said he could have pneumonia or bronchitis which are both very dangerous for a young cat but prescribed hairball medicine which I found out later was for adult cats only. They told me to give my kitten what turned out to be 10 TIMES the amount recommended for an ADULT cat and an oral syringe. A syringe is useless for this molasses-like substance. I have found a new vet, a more knowledgeable vet who knew immediately what the coughing problem was, simply the stomach valves not functioning properly which is very common in kittens almost a year old. The staff marked on the oral syringe the correct amount and explained in detail what the medicine was and how to give it to my kitten. They also gave my kitten treats and a lot of attention and petting him. The coughing problem has now gone away, thanks to a competent veterinarian whose office doesnt hide the exams they give your animals. Take your cat elsewhere if you care about him or her.

I brought my cat here a few years ago and it was great so I just moved back to SF and came in for an emergency. My cat was vomiting and had severe diarhea..They did let me come in right away which was great since I was very sick too. But it was down hill from there ..When you walk in, there is a very strong stench of Urine and you can barely breath.. and the place is filthy. They took my cat in in about 15 min.. An hour and a half to two hours later they still had not seen my cat.. When I asked her how much longer it would take the girl at the front desk was preoccupied with her paperwork and got agitated She did go and ask at my insistence and the doctor told her she still didnt know.. So I told them to bring my cat back and that I was leaving since I was sick and wanted to get my cat attended to rite away.. BUT THEY REFUSED TO BRING MY CAT BACK TO ME..Instead they said I had to wait.. well they wracked up charges and apparently took xrays of my cat without my authorization.. The staff and vets are completely unprofessional!! You are at your own risk..good luck

Ive been bringing my cat, Monkey, to Nob Hill Cat Clinic since he was a kitten (~5 years) and have always been given superb service. My experience as of late, however, cemented my relationship with the vet. When Monkey broke his leg a couple of months ago, I brought him to Nob Hill for surgery. It was a complex break that necessitated weeks upon weeks of post-op care and required that my cat be crated. Not only did the initial surgery and related care come out UNDER the estimate, but Dr. Doe kindly lent me a large crate for my cats housing which saved me time, money and helped alleviate additional stress. Since his surgery, Ive become sort of a regular at the clinic. The staff patiently answers all my questions and are very accommodating with my schedule in making all the necessary appointments. In general, everyone (from the front office to vet techs to doctors, etc.) that works at the clinic is incredibly friendly and professional. Highly recommended.

Long overdue review - I love Nob Hill Cat Clinic! When I brought my 4 month old siamese kitten in with a mysterious fever of unknown origins, which sparked months of testing and uncertainty, they were just so helpful and so supportive all the way through. Her case is very unusual and unique and even at times where it seemed helpless, both Dr. Doe and Dr. Wallace were super caring and supportive. All of the support staff too are super friendly and helpful and just really make me feel as though my kitty is getting so much love and attention when she is there. I have nothing bad to say about NHCC. They have helped me basically bring my kitty back from the dead and Im so happy to say that since December 1, 2014 she has only had 1 fever and it only lasted one day! Pretty insane, and me and my kitty could never be where we are today without everyone at NHCC! Thank you so much!

I brought my senior cat, Massimo, to Nob Hill Cat Clinic about 6 months ago and have been treated very well. My little guy has been through a lot and the staff here has been nothing short of attentive, caring, and delightful. Dr.Doe and Dr.Partkin (sp?) are very informative and Dr.Partkin really does a great job of explaining whats going on and what to watch out for. She knows the right questions to ask to figure out whats wrong. I personally dont think the clinic smells and the front desk staff is SO NICE! At one point or another I was probably calling the office everyday and none of the staff ever seemed "agitated". Parking isnt too hard either.

Have been taking my cat here since he was a kitten, we have a life-time partnership with the team at Nob Hill Cat Clinic. I couldnt imagine taking my cat anywhere else. I feel like their prices are fairly reasonable, and they have always let me decide what options I am comfortable with for my cat, they never push surgical options and things like that. Their reception staff is super friendly, they make you feel like youre part of the family. Theyre also centrally located, so its easy for me to get to them and its easy to park if I drive my own car or take a cab with my cat carrier. This place has been very good to me and my cat.

Ive been taking my cat to Nob Hill Cat Clinic since I moved to San Francisco and theyve been amazing in every way. The vets and staff are incredibly caring and attentive, and they make me (and my cat) feel extremely comfortable whenever were in for regular check ups. Appointments are very easy to set up, and if something comes up, they have no problem changing them. Also, having them call to remind me about check ups is extremely helpful because of my hectic work schedule, so I couldnt recommend them more highly!

I went to Nob Hill Cat Clinic because my previous vet who I love recommended them. They always take good care of my cat and seem very attentive. Dr Partin is great at explaining everything thoroughly to you and always ready to answer my questions. My cat had a bunch of teeth pulled and is also diabetic and they took great care of him. I also love that they call to check in on how he is doing and also reminds me of upcoming tests that needs to be done.
