This was a nightmarish experience. My father was assigned this facility for rehab by Santa Clara Valley medical Center following his hip surgery at VMC. He stayed at Skyline Health center for roughly 3 weeks. During that time, when he ran into medical issues there was rarely a proper attention given to him. Even when the test results came in and outside observers would consider the results to be alarming, he was not given proper IV in a timely manner. Finally after repeated requests to the medical director of Skyline, they approved him to be taken back to Emergency room in VMC and he subsequently passed away that night. The medical director didnt even have the courtesy to call the family after he knew my father had passed away and it was several days later after his cremation we got a voice message. Had he got the proper medical care and attention at Skyline, we believe he would have worked through the medical issues and been around now. Furthermore, Skyline never really involved his primary care doctor in VMC when he was having medical issues in Skyline. Besides that many a time, there was hardly a nurse to be found when he repeatedly called for assistance. There was a time when they rolled his bed into the hallway and just left him there without even a buzzer for easy access to the nurses. The nurses were quite rude even when we his family requested them to call the attending doctot in Skyline. I would strongly urge those who are considering this center to please read the reviews online before admitting your loved ones there.

My stepdad is been here since 2011 and my mom was here from August to the end of October 2015. Ive made two complaints to the ombudsman and licensing for events that occurred between my mother and two CNAs that were sexual in nature. The place is too big for its own good and either understaffed and underpaid or the workers just dont care about the patients. I have spent nearly each day after work for five hours visiting and I got to know the routines and attitudes of the workers. Not good. On more than one occasion I saw the same worker at the same station with a bottle of beer. Licensing called and told me they did not find anything substantiated with my complaints.

This is the best place for patients with family and friends to collaborate with staff. Hospital is next door. Entertainment and Activities are great. Food is ok. Nice rooms. Easy view, big windows to outdoor busy trafffic is nice. Great lighting. No smell.
