I disagree with Disambiguations rating. I do agree, however, with the two criteria for rating. I am currently undergoing physical therapy for the third major injury of my life (weekend warrior, not accident prone), and Mariners Physical Therapy is the best so far. My first therapy stint was at an orthopedic practice, and in retrospect, the therapists were less than stellar. For my second injury I went to a smaller, privately owned business, and the results were better, with much more advanced protocols. By the way, I can make this comparison, since my first two injuries were shoulder dislocations but to different shoulders. Mariners is a bit larger than the private practice I used previously, and therefore you do also work with students for the daily exercise tasks. However, the owners of the practice are in direct contact with me as my therapy progresses. I am extremely pleased with my progress at Mariners, and I am impressed at the knowledge and protocols of the entire staff. They take a larger approach to treatment and look at the whole body, as opposed to just the first order symptoms. This impressed me. Lastly, I would add one additional point to the criteria of fast recovery, hard work. When I see people unhappy with their results it is because they dont use the therapists knowledge because it either causes temporary discomfort or is just plan hard work. In my opinion you need to follow the therapists recommendations and do these to the best of your ability. Mariners offers excellent service, and I would highly recommend them.

I had gone to Mariners about three years ago for what I thought, and was informed to be, a back and neck injury. My previous experiences with doctors and physical therapists up to that point were very negative and most had left me with the notion that pain meds and weekly visits for the rest of my life were the only ways of fixing my ailments. Mariners did an excellent job of reversing that opinion from the moment I stepped into their office. The staff, from the receptionist to the aids, was incredibly friendly and very helpful. Mark Kirsch was my physical therapist and he is excellent at what he does. Before the end of my first week of full sessions he was able to pinpoint where the root of my pain was coming from (which actually turned out to be from an old shoulder injury) and began to help me fix it. To this day the pain has not returned. Mark was very knowledgeable and if he didnt have the answer to a question that I might have had, he would always have it for me the next time I saw him. He and his staff were personable and most of the time were fun to be around, but were always very professional and made sure you were being rehabilitated correctly. I am very glad I was referred to Mariners Physical Therapy. Mark and his team were able to fix me up right and provide me with the knowledge to make sure I stay fixed. If ever the occasion arises to where I would need any sort of physical therapy again I will not hesitate to go back to Mariners, nor would I hesitate to recommend them to others.

I have had the opportunity of working with over a dozen physical therapists over the last past 8 years in New York, London, and California. All of my injuries have been sports related. I started going to Mariners Physical Therapy in January 2011 and was immediately impressed by the knowledge, professionalism, and friendliness of the entire staff. To date, I have spent most of my time with Kimmy and Mark who are both exceptional Therapists. They have taken time to get to know me, understand what my injuries are and what’s causing my pain, and are able to plan a well thought out rehabilitation program specialized for me. The aides at Mariners are great to work with as well. They are all eager to help and attentive to my needs. They are very good about asking the Therapists questions if they are unsure what the next steps are. I am extremely particular about the type of care I receive. I don’t find myself posting many 5 star reviews. In this case, I couldn’t be more satisfied with Mariners. I strongly recommend this facility.

I injured my knee and thought I would not be able to play sports with my 1 and 3 year old children as they grew up. I spent several sessions getting treated. I cannot say that the treatments/workouts were easy ... but they worked! and Im back to 100%!! In fact Im even better because now I know how to keep my body in shape so that I do not repeat the injury. I still do many of the things that I learned as maintenance. Mark Kirsch was my main physical therapist. He has an amazing knack for spotting the problem and finding the right solution. Plus he is very motivating which is important when you are trying to overcome an injury. Thank you Mariners Physical Therapy.

Mariners Physical Therapy is absolutely the best. I am a 7 time Ironman Finisher and have done dozens of races. Unfortunately, being an endurance athlete often causes overuse injuries. The team at Mariners gets it. They know how to quickly diagnose the injury and treat it. I have been going there on and off since 1993. I could go wherever I want, but continue there because Chris, Mark and their team get not only the injuries, but also get customer service big time! They know how to get you what you need without spending hours there. Its also a great facility. I strongly recommend Mariners to anyone looking for the best physical therapists in the county.

There are two aspects to judge how well a physical therapy practice will meet your needs for rapid recovery - 1) knowledge and 2) attention to diagnosing and monitoring your specific condition. The more closely you are working with experienced therapists, the better off you will be. Mariners is run like an assembly line and youre lucky to work directly with a licensed physical therapist. Your best bet is to seek out a therapist practice that is attached to a larger health organization (hospital, orthopedic practice, HMO, etc) so you are assured that there is some oversight.

I injured my IT band really bad while hiking in Catalina. I could barely walk when I went in to see my family doctor. He prescribed Mariners PT and I am really thankful he did. My knee is in better shape than ever. No pain at all and I have been hiking just fine. Kimmie and Christina were especially great because of their knowledge, professionalism, and passion for their work. They also gave me a lot of exercises I can do at home to prevent that same injury from happening again. Definitely a great experience.
