I am not sure if it was dumb luck, or divine intervention but I came across this Dadeland Animal Hospital on the internet when I was looking for vet. I had a sick 6 month year old puppy, who was not eating, and throwing up. I had taken him to an animal ER the night before, and was quoted almost twelve hundred dollars to perform procedures to try and diagnose my puppy. I did not have the money to do everything they suggested, and after paying close to $400.00 that night at the animal ER, and no diagnosis, I decided to call around to find a vet where I could get a second opinion, and an actual diagnosis. As soon as I called, I was greeted by a friendly voice, and was given full attention. I was extremely scared, and had lots of questions. I was given an appointment immediately, and Dr. Maclvor, and her staff called me back three times that day to confirm all of my questions. I was pleased when I arrived to see a very clean and friendly environment. I was also greeted right away by the Doctor, and as soon as I started to explain why i was there, she immediately told me she remembered everything I had explained over the phone, and she got to work right away on diagnosing my puppy. She said she has been doing this long enough to know what to look for, and in less then half an hour, she already had the diagnosis, and medication ready to go for my puppy. She also answered all of my questions, and took her time and gave me a lot of good tips and information. All of her staff were friendly, and helpful and made me feel very comfortable, which was great considering I had no sleep the night before due to my puppy being sick. And I was quite shocked to see my bill, it was soo much more less then I expected considering how much I had been charged in the past for pet visits from other clinics. I felt a sense of relief, and a weight had been lifted. I went back to see the Doctor a week after the diagnosis. my puppy I am very happy to report my puppy was given a clear bill of health, and I was not charged for the follow up visit! I must say I am very pleased with the service, and attention my puppy and I were given, and I would recommend Dadeland Animal Hospital to anyone I know who has a pet. And I plan on keeping Dr. Maclvor as my puppys vet. And I cant wait to try them out as our new grooming, and boarding facility! Thank you so much Dr. Maclvor and staff! You are all amazing! Shes the most hard-working, experienced and knowledgeable vet Ive ever met--and makes it a point to be the most affordable. Shes a no-BS type of person, and saved my incredibly sick pound pup from the usually deadly distemper. Another vet misdiagnosed my dog as having Kennel Cough, but Dr. M-B had no trouble diagnosing him correctly and treating him appropriately. Whats best, she did it at the lowest possible cost to me, filling out prescriptions for me to take to Publix where the medicine was FREE (for an antibiotic the other vet charged me $60 for) and eventually let me know when it was okay to stop treatment because my dog was going to be fine. She saw me daily for weeks without charging me for the visits, only his (discounted) treatments, and obviously cared very much for the health of my dog. The other vet I took my dog to sounded sympathetic, all while running useless tests to run up my bill and never listened to me while I tried to explain his symptoms, but Dr. M-B showed her caring through her actions. She treated my dog away from all other animals, as distemper is highly contagious, when the other vets office clearly did not care. She heard me out, explained his condition and details about his care, and eventually saved his life. I could never repay her for that, because now my dog is healthy, and I believe to this day that my dog would be dead if I hadnt found her. If you need the very best vet, then save yourself the trouble and just go to her.

I known and been with Doc Mcgaiver over 15 years. She has treated 4 of my dogs through all the years. She is family to me. Never over prize me, never took advantage of any emotional situation, like putting your dog to sleep.She is trully the most kind, amazing, proffesional, most important knowledge Vet that I known. I will never take my babies (dogs) to anyone else. I have seen were she has taken a burn dog and taken him in, and treated him and adopted him as his own dog. Most vet will have put him to sleep. Doc will not give up on your dog, she will whatever it takes to make sure your dog gets well. I highly recommend her.

Glad we found out about Dadeland Animal Hospital a couple years ago. It was and is worth it! Easy parking and great location, right off US1. Its always nice and clean even if they have to rush out to clean what your/my dog just did!. The personnel are courteous and attentive and mainly, take care of your pet (in my case two dogs) very well. I have a dog that got diabetes about 1 year ago and although it is a little extra work to keep his blood sugar level under control its worth it and he is still with us thanks to Dadeland Animal Hospital.

Great friendly staff, and amazing doctor. The doctor was able to explain to me in full detail what exactly was wrong with my dog. My dog made a full recovery within a week. I would recommend all my friends to take advantage of their $99 annual special best deal in town, i have not seen anywhere else where I could get all of my dogs vaccines and a full bath for just $99. If you want to feel safe and secure dadeland animal hospital is the place to go! They also have -$5 off on baths on Friday!

I took my baby girl Maya there and was greeted very warmly by a very good friendly staff. I have to admit I was as nervous as she was, however, one of the staff Mr. Jeffrey Goya assured me there was nothing to be afraid of and he would make sure she was completely accomodated during her surgery. He followed up with me this morning making sure she was ok and recovering fine. Thank you to everyone at Dadeland Animal Hospital, I will be a HAPPY returning customer.

The Hospital has a large amount of emergencies and clients. The staff members were friendly, helpful and did the best they can to heal my cat and prepare a good treatment for him. He was very ill and wounded. However, the Dr. did the best she could and the cat started to eat once again and drink fluids. My cat had small chances of living but i believe that the Drs treatment and procedures were the best option, so too, they seem to work.

This is one of the most amazing hospitals you will every take your pet too. They treat your animal with the care you would give them, and the staff that work there are so kind and so attentive, The "VET" Sharon MacIvor D.V.M. is just simply an amazing human being. She cares sooo much about all her patients. Truly you want to go there if you love your pet cause she will too! Thank you for saving Oliver!! LOVE YOU ALL
