DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING OTHER THAN MONEY. THEY ARE REALLY NICE AND FRIENDLY IN THE BEGINNING BUT THATS JUST TO GET YOU TO COME BACK. Despite reading all of the negative reviews on this place, I decided to bring my puppy to this vet only because the puppy shop I purchased her at told me they were the vets that gave her her initial shots. On my first visit, everyone was extremely nice and friendly. I was charged for the office visit $80 in which I had to pay even though the place I bought my puppy at told me they had already paid for my initial visit. I was in a hurry and did not want to dispute this with the girl sitting at the front desk so I paid and left. At this time, my puppy was only 2 months old. I was told I needed to return in 2 weeks to get the remaining set of puppy shots. Since I had never had a dog before, I thought I was given the correct information so I set up an appt. On my 2nd visit, no one explained anything that was being done to my dog, I did not get any results back (fecal exam) and I was charged over $200 for the office visit, shots (3) and what ever other office fee they added to my bill. They even charged my for a bottle of Benadryl in which I did not purchase and when I asked the young kid sitting at the front desk why I was being charged for this he told me he would credit my account because he did not know how to refund the money. Honestly at this time I really didnt care so I paid and left. When I was called to come in for the 3rd cycle ( in which in reality it was her last puppy shots) I asked before coming in how much I would have to pay for the entire visit. I was told $80 and it included everything. I said no problem and setup an appointment. When I went in person, it was a completely different story. They told me it would be $250 because they needed to register her with the county for the rabies shot. After arguing with them for over an hour, we left. I needed to get the prescription for the heart worm medication in which they did not want to give it to me. they told me I needed to buy it from them so I asked them to use my credit and apply it to the total of the medication. To make a long story short they never applied anything. This place is all about money. Two weeks later, they called me again to schedule my dog for her last set of shots and when I asked them how many shots she needed they told me these would be her last. I asked them to review the records and when she got back to the phone she told me your right, she has all of her shots. I only asked because I presented all of my paper work to another vet, and they told me my puppy did not need anymore shots until she was a year old. These people dont speak English. Its like being in Hialeah on 8 street. I gave this place a star only because you have to rate it in order to post it. Good luck if you decide to take your pet to this hell hole.

I took my kittens here and this place was everything I could have hoped for. They have a great staff that cares about customer service and making you feel comfortable with their service, an experienced doctor who you can tell loves his job, amazing prices that wont hurt your pocket, and a wonderful atmosphere for the cats to feel comfortable in. My kitten named Buddy needed to get neutered and I was feeling pretty nervous about it since the other clinics I tried to go to were very pricey and I didnt trust taking him to the shelter where I adopted him from because of a few horror stories I had heard about the place. When I found this clinic, it was like I found a hidden gem! The staff here is super friendly and they genuinely care about your pet. My cat was so comfortable here which rarely happens since most cats hate coming to the vet lol! They treat your pet with love when they come and they do any procedures in front of you except for surgeries. They have a great wellness plan for your pet which makes it very convenient financially to keep your cats healthy. They are very flexible with their appointment times and its never crowded with people when you go because they like to take their time to focus and dedicate their full attention to your pet. I had my cat Buddy neutered there and everything was perfect. The doctor didnt schedule any other appointments until later so that he can focus only on the surgery of my cat during the day to make sure everything went smoothy. You really cant ask for anything better than that. I am so grateful I found this place!! If you want the best attention and treatments for your pet, I recommend this place 100%.

Gracias Tamiami Trail Animal Clinic por la atencion q siempre recibimos en nuestras visitas. Esas muchachas Gigi y Gim son maravillosas!! super cariñosas y atentas con todos! No solo en el tiempo q pasamos alli, sino luego con sus llamadas para saber la evolucion de sus pacientes, la verdad q son calidad de seres humanos. Gigi es muy dulce en su trato siempre haciendo q uno se sienta como en casa, y Gim es tan dispuesta y amable q se extraña cuando no esta! Definitivamente el Dr Cartaya se rodea de un excelente team, y asi puede atender y salvar vidas como la de mi pequeña Mia. Gracias eternas y felicidades!

El lunes pasado visite esta clínica de emergencia con mi perrita Wendy q estaba muy enferma. Desde q llegamos la atención fue excepcional, nos recibió una muchacha muy atenta y cariñosa llamada GiGi a la cual le agradezco tanto su apoyo en ese difícil momento. Ella enseguida nos llevó con el Doctor Alexis Cartaya quien le dio a mi perrita todos los cuidados q necesitaba. Ella esta mucho mejor y yo quede tan impresionada con la atensión de estos profesionales q no he podido olvidar sus nombres. Wendy y yo estamos mucho más tranquila ahora qque encontramos esta excelente clínica.

It all began when my husband and I decided to purchase a golden retriever pup. Not only are they recognized as the most loyal dog but my dream dog.first source that crossed our mind was Craigslist, so we purchased it from a sketchy man. Turns out a simple visit to the vet became an emergency 5 day stay at the clinic. Our pup Luna, was diagnosed with the parvo virus, sadly we had no option but to give all we had financially for her well being. It was a 50/50 chance we were gambling for our pup to either make it or not. It was worth it. The staff did an absolutely amazing job taking care of not only Luna and her disease but our emotional well being. Every night they would go back to the clinic and make sure she was fine and would keep me updated all the time. Thank god, after 3 critical days, the next morning she started responding wonderfully to her medication and finally started eating. We thank the staff so much for being there for our Luna and making sure we were comfortable with every step on the way!! Thank you to Dr.Cartaya and his staff for all the hard work. Definitely recommend this clinic!!
