I finally saw Dr. Burns after years of suffering with extreme lower back and leg pain. I had several injections and was told I had to have surgery. The one person I knew that had surgery was in worse shape afterwards than before the surgery so I was determined to do whatever it took to avoid that. Dr. Burns did a thorough examination and reviewed my MRI. He believed that we could reduce the disc herniation with non-surgical spinal decompression and core strengthening. After 8 weeks I was pain free and have been for the past 3 years. He says I may need surgery at some point, but with proper care we should be able to put it off for several more years. Dr. Burns also took me from about 6 years of near constant hip and knee pain to almost non-existent. I wish Id gone sooner. Easy to get appointment, Barb, his office assistant is pleasant to deal with and their office is easy to get to off I-25. My insurance didnt cover the 4 visits it took to get me realigned, but it was still affordable. I honestly felt better after the first visit and was at 95% after 4 visits. He doesnt bug you to come back unless youre feeling bad. Great practice and very down to earth chiro.

Our family has relied on Dr. Burns since we arrived from California in 1992. With varying degrees of soft tissue and spinal damage due to a car accident years before, and my teenage bodysurfing collision, we all needed to stabilize and heal. Does not listen to your issues. Cracks your back then states they are going to give you a ultrasound message. The ultrasound message is not part of the free consulatation but they do not disclose that to you. Then 5 months after the appointment I receive a bill from Dr. Burns stating that I owe money. 5 Months later!!!! I will never go back.
