Cohen has a terrible practice, the reason being is he is usurping the elderly. My grandmother is 97 years old, and Cohen has her going there three times a year, THREE TIMES. And each time she has to pay her insurance with a specialist copay. For someone her age its ridiculous to see a dermatologist that often. To offer an story on the elderly seeing doctors, years ago when my grandfather was 87 we were concerned with his diet and diabetes, as he was consuming a lot of sugar. So my mother asked her GP, "Im concerned my father might have diabetes as he eats a lot of sugar." To which the GP responded, "How old is he?" Upon hearing how old he was he said, "Why bother?" Simply because he didnt see a need to put him on medication that would only put a damper on the twilight of his life. The same can be said for dermatology, why should my grandmother be bothered with skin check ups that are an annoyance. Instead he and his receptionists are getting wealthy at the expense of the elderly. To me this is a clear moral dilemma; the solution is clear in my mind. Now you all be the judge, and decide on your own if you think it is morally justifiable to use such a man as Dr. Ivan Cohen.

Two stars at best. Nothing like booking an appointment with an earliest availability of 3 months out. Appointment is supposed to take an hour. It did....25 minutes waiting in the office, 15 minutes waiting in the room and 15 minutes with the doctor. This doesnt include the 15 minutes that I arrived early as They ask you to do so! So today they call me and tell me to call the office....I call and they are not available, I call again and still not available but they say they will return my call. Im sure the call is about test results which is probably not good news. I call again and the office is closed. No return call. Thanks for the anxiety which I now get to sit with since I cant reach anyone. Oh, and neither the phone nor website provide office hours....so when can I call again? Are they open on Good Friday? This doesnt seem like good professional manners to me! Karma.....

I had a wonderful experience at Fairfield Dermatology. The staff is intelligent and well trained. A rare combination these days. I strongly recommend it to anyone that has any skin issues or needs any procedures. I had a simple procedure involving injections etc and it was smooth and comfortable. Thanks.
