We have been very satisfied clients of Aspetuck Animal Hospital for many years , When we had to have our Mollys leg amputated , Dr. Mike saw us through a very trying time with compassion and support . He called immediately after the surgery to let us know how everything went and answered our many questions patiently and in terms we could understand ! When we took Molly back for a followup exam she ran to Dr. Mike as if saying thank you for helping me! After all she had been through she still felt safe and happy at the vets ! Last year we boarded our dog Mike . While out of state we had an accident that kept us from returning when we had expected to . Worried about Mike we called the hospital and were assured Mike could stay as long as we needed . We knew Mike would be well cared for even when they didnt expect to have him there ! Recently, as we waited in the examination room , Mike wasnt sure that was where he really wanted to be . He was sitting against the door to the reception area hoping a crack would open up he could dash through ---then he heard Dr. Mikes voice and our Mikes tail started to wag , he rushed to the other door , gave a couple " Hello , here I am barks and waited . When Dr. Mike came in our Mike could hardly contain himself he was so happy ! What dog parent wouldnt be thrilled to have their pet so happy !? Thats why we will always come here ! Besides our dog would disown us if we tried to take him anywhere else ! )

I love this vet and would recommend them to anyone who wants a caring, very personal, and very detail oriented vet. My previous vet had not left me with a good feeling of when they told me my dog had a heart murmur. I left not really knowing what it was or whether I needed to get it checked out. I went to Aspetuck for a second opinion, and not only did Dr. Mike explain what her heart murmur could be, he also pulled up a video on the computer screen to physically show me what could be happening. I did end up getting it further checked out per their advice and Im glad I did. My puppy was born with a small hole in her heart, and thanks to the great Advice from Aspetuck, I know have a baseline report of her issue and will be able to monitor it throughout her life. They are very thorough and caring!! For those that think it is a bit of a far drive, its absolutely worth that drive and I have switched my vet permanently thanks to this recent, very positive experience.

I have been taking my two Golden Retrievers to Aspetuck Animal Hospital for 9 years. Dr. Mike and Dr. Trish are very dedicated, skilled doctors and treat my dogs as if they were their own. The staff is very knowledgeable, efficient, friendly and caring. Their facility is always very clean and organized. A little over a year ago, one of my dogs was diagnosed with cancer. Her tail was amputated at Aspetuck and she went through extensive cancer treatments at a regional cancer center. Through it all, I relied on the doctors and staff at Aspetuck Animal Hospital for a number of services including exams, advice, medications, support and submission of insurance claims. They did not let me down and showed genuine concern for the welfare of both my dog and me. My dog has been cancer free for a year now and Aspetuck is continuing to help me monitor her remission. I would highly recommend this Animal Hospital to anyone.

Luckily we live close by because we are at Aspetuck nearly every week with our crazy menagerie of animals. We could not LOVE everyone there more. We honestly feel like family and not only take all our animals (2 cats, 1 large dog) for wellness and sick visits but we also board our beloveds there when we travel. They always get too much love and dont want to come home. Our recent visits have involved our Great Dane who sliced his paw open chasing a fox - we have been dealing with it for three weeks and everyone has been so helpful, so patient, so kind throughout the very long healing process. We could not have our animals without everyone at Aspetuck!

When our cocker spaniel of 11 years old got very sick we were not happy with the Vet we had. I asked around for recommendations and heard nothing but Good things about Dr. Mike and Dr. Trish and the entire Staff! I was a little hesitant at first because it would be almost an hour in travel time, but once I made the appointment and went there I was very happy, I can not say enough good things about the Entire Staff and both Dr. Mike and Trish! The office is very bright and clean, everyone is very caring and compassionate, your animal is not just another number! I would Highly recommend Aspectuck Animal Hospital!

I have been using Aspetuck as my vet for 11 years now and could not ask for more for my dogs. Having English Bulldogs with a variety of health issues, Aspetuck and its staff are always friendly and make you feel like your pet is in good hands. My first bulldog Rylie, loved going to Aspetuck and got so excited when Id say wanna go to the vet and I credit that to the great staff who treat the pets as if they were their own. I moved about 35 minutes away and never once crossed my mind to go to another vet. Top notch staff and facility, I highly recommend to anyone in the area!!

On 02//19/14 we were faced with a horrific injury to one of our puppies. Our vet could not see us due to being there for a half day only and Aspetuck Animal hospital was willing to take in a non established, Emergency patient who needed surgery. From the moment we stepped in the door we were greated by friendly front desk staff, caring providers and phenomenal technicians. We felt comfortable leaving our baby in their hands and they did an incredible job. We appreciate the care and effort that they provided our family and will be forever greatful

My family used to bring all of our pets here years ago, to Dr Gorra, Sr. Always loved this place! Dr Gorra,Sr saved my sons beloved duck and we never forgot. So of course when I moved back to the area after living overseas, it was only natural to return to Aspectuck Animal Hospital. Loved Dr Trish! Her ease and natural connection to animals is very evident. The staff made me feel welcome and took me a day earlier than booked for due to my error! All in all a great place to bring your beloved pets to!!!

I have been going to Aspetuck for more years than Id like to remember. The Drs & staff are kind and sensitive to not just the animals but to the owners. There is always a friendly smile and hello as I enter and they will always take the time to explain when I am not quite sure. I have occasionally bred my Vizslas and the Drs and staff have been there to help birth puppies when Ive needed them. And when its time to say Good bye, they are always there for support.
